"If I could give the staff a 10 I would! They are compassionate, friendly and and even fun! With any care facility you are going to have concerns or issues with particular care, personality conflicts, or maybe just alot of questions. I know we did. This was my mother and I only wanted the very best for her. When I had these concerns the supervising staff was very attentive to fix the problem no matter how big or small. It warms my heart to go there and see her caregivers hugging,calling her sweet nicknames, and joking with her. I know we made the right decision. She has plenty of activities to keep her busy and she is very happy at Sunrise of Des Peres."

"In the last 12 months Town & Country Senior Living, has had: 2 Executive Directors, 4 Director of Wellness, High turnover of staff, Unable to get direct email for staff (had to go through main line), Poor communication between residents, staff, family and in house doctor, less than a year it has changed ownership again."

"My father stayed a few weeks on the acute rehab side and then moved over to the skilled nursing care side for a few more weeks till he got strong enough to come home. First of all, the place is beautiful- both the rooms and overall facility. It is kept very nice and has a cheery atmosphere. It even has its own bakery that is open daily to get a sweet treat. The staff is attentive and patient and hard working on behalf of their patients. They responded to my calls and treated my father with extra special care. We were extremely nervous about having my father in a nursing home...and we got so LUCKY when we found Brooking Park. It was more like a home which was a grateful surprise! I/we highly recommend this facility!"

"I toured Brookdale West County. The experience was good. It's very neatly laid out. It is clean, and the staff is very friendly, and so is the lady who gave me a tour. Her name was Katie. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained. The food and dining area was very up-to-date. They have a library, a hair salon, a movie theater, and rooms for residents to have guests over for a larger party."

"My mom moved to Avalon Memory Care St. Louis. They are wonderful. They have done everything we've asked them to do. The price is a little high, but overall for what you're getting, they take very much pride in what they do. They attend to the seniors, they toilet them every two hours. They have activities for them. They take care of them. They shower them twice a week. They have great meals, and it's a beautiful place. Overall, it's just a very comfortable, warm environment, and loving family-type setting. There's not one person in our family that visited there that didn't like it and didn't think it was just a very comfortable place to live. The staff is all very kind and generous, and they text us with pictures of my mom eating dinner, calling us, or anything, and they're very attentive. They also communicate with us almost daily. The facility is beautiful, but there's very little parking. The rooms are very roomy. They have a beautiful walk-in shower, a separate vanity, a big closet, and a TV screen that's mounted on the wall. I wasn't able to try their food, but it smelled good when I was there. They have them all in a communal area while watching TV. They do have a craft table that some of them can go to, work crafts and put things together. They also play bingo. The value was about the same price we were paying for full skilled nursing, but it seems like they're doing a lot more for her than even the full skilled nursing staff was doing."

"My mom recently passed but she had previously lived at Sunrise for the last 6 years. During the holidays someone played holiday tunes the piano each morning when my went to breakfast. The holiday gatherings hosted for us as the family to enjoy with mom was especially memorable. Serenity the lead housekeeper had such a special connection with Mom. Serenity always took time while cleaning Mom’s room to talk with her. Sunshine was another one of Mom’s favorite. Sunshine always brought a smile to Mom’s face. There are many more whose names escape me but made such a positive impact in Mom’s final years. To all of you at Sunrise - THANK YOU."

"I liked everything about The Lumiere of Chesterfield. They had a private chef who worked with the people who lived there to get on the menu what they preferred to eat according to their diet. A lot of these people are diabetics and when they go to another facility, they don't care what they eat, they just put garbage on the menu. This private chef makes a world of difference. They have high ceilings and big, spacious rooms. It's much more spacious than a lot of the facilities I've seen. It makes it feel much more luxurious and much more like home."

"It was the place I was trying to get my husband into. It was 5 minutes from my house, and I tried to get him there, but he was too sick for them. It's a beautiful place. We went and toured their memory care and it was very nice and very neat. It was a beautiful place on the inside and outside. The room was lovely and very, very nice. I only saw one and it had a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. The staff who assisted us was also very nice."

"My mother will be moving into Autumn View Gardens - Ellisville. It is in a different league. The people that are there, you can see life in their eyes. They're engaged. They're not just a beating heart and a mouth to feed. They had a luau and they made tie-dyed shirts. They had an Elvis impersonator. They bake cookies for the support dogs that come in. It's like a mother hen and her little chicks, the way they bring them all together at mealtimes in one place. They don't let them eat in their rooms alone. They have this giant front porch with chairs and swings. It's covered and it is just delightful. The staff members are happy to be there. They love their jobs. One other thing I really like about this one is that it's all-inclusive. They don't nickel and dime you for everything. There are no surprise charges. It feels like sunshine. It feels so good. They have welcoming parties when people come and move in. I can't wait for her to get there."

"I toured Harvester Residential Care. I appreciated the warm welcome that I received. Everyone that I spoke with was very kind, friendly, and helpful. They answered my questions. I was glad to be able to see the assisted living center, as well as the group housing options. My questions were answered, and I received literature and a card to take home if we wanted additional information or assistance. The menu was posted. It was very helpful, also. They have outdoor spaces near the driveway, near the front entrance. I saw comfortable chairs, and the grounds were very well-maintained."

"We were going to get Mom in Mcclay Senior Care, but before she could be transported over there, she passed away. It was big and clean. The facility is only four years old. The people were nice and very accommodating for the short period of time that we were there. The staff was nice and friendly. It was very clean. Mom was gonna be there for hospice."

"I went to Reflections at Garden Place. It was a very, very good place. I like the person I interviewed with. She was great. I like the fact that there were only 19 people there. But the bad part was that my husband would have to be able to walk with one person assisting him with his walker 45 feet, which he couldn't do. That was the only drawback. The staff was very, very sweet. They were very consistent about saying hello and saying what they did. I like the staff. They were good. It was a ranch-style facility with only two hallways. The dining room and living room were in the entranceway. The cleanliness was great. They had an activity room in the back. Overall, it was clean. It's not as modern as the one my husband is at now, but it was well. And the furniture they had was great, too. They had different-sized rooms and the furniture was great in those rooms and a large bathroom."

"Everything at The Boulevard of St Peters was very well done. It was relatively new. It's just been there for a year. So, everything was nice. We had already put a deposit there for Mom, but we didn't get to use it. The lady was very professional."

"I toured Clarendale of St. Peters. It's a very lovely building. They had a little courtyard. It was a very lovely place to be. They have a lot of things for the residents to do, physical therapy, and different things, but it's mostly the cost that turned me down on that one. The staff was good, kind, and gave me plenty of information."
