Maple Tree Terrace

We visited Maple Tree Terrace assisted living in Carthage. We were doing a tour and thinking about placing my parents there. I would say it's good. I liked the fact that it was a small community. I think they had fewer than 50 residents there, and everyone had a private room. They had a common dining room. For meals, their breakfast was fixed on demand. You could go out and say, "I want this for breakfast" and they would fix it. They also had a dog for the residents to interact with. They had two types of rooms. They had ones that are smaller single rooms, but couples could share them. It has an attached bathroom. Then they had a larger 2-bedroom suite and of course, that was more expensive and stuff. The larger room had a bedroom, a bathroom, and then kind of like a little seating area where you could entertain family or friends. They didn't have the outdoor space, which was very important to my parents because they were farmers and used to being outside. The facility was really clean, but it was old too. I would say it was really good though. It was a little shabby, but not totally derelict or anything. It was just older. Everyone was really friendly to us. I saw the staff interacting very kindly with the patients while we were there.

This is an amazing facility staffed with trained, caring professionals. I visit my mother regularly. It is always clean. They did an amazing job keeping my mother safe during the pandemic. All kinds of great activities. The nurse and staff are always quick to call when there is a medical issue with my mother. The food is also very good, especially the chicken fried steak. All of my mothers needs are met and my family sleeps well knowing that she is safe. My mother and my family all agree that my mother could not be in a better place.
