McGivney-Bethune Apartments

I was at McGivney-Bethune Apartments and it was a very nice place. I liked it. They had security there, and they had staff there. If you needed maintenance or if you needed anything to be done, they would always take care of it. The place was quiet and kept clean. They did have a salon, an area for recreation, and an entertainment section. All the staff was very respectful, caring, and helpful. They did a fine job with the activities. It was up to you if you wanted to participate in it or not. They played games, we did sit-down exercises, we went on trips, they showed movies, and we had arts and crafts.

My sister has moved into Bethune Apartments and is doing very well there. It is a very nice place. They have security at night and services during the day that assist her with any of her insurance needs and transportation. I selected it because she was staying with me, and I wanted her to have a place of her own and someone had recommended it to me. They didn’t have a waiting list at that time, so that was a plus, although there is not as much in the area. There are stores in the area, but she might have to take a cab or courtesy car. There is a store across the street that she can walk to, and a restaurant, a party store and a gas station. Overall, it is much nicer than other places. It is a very nice place with very nice staff.

I think McGivney Bethune Apartments is an excellent choice for someone who is independent and who prefers to live in the metropolitan Detroit, Michigan area. McGivney Bethune apartments are a subsidized low income senior citizen apartment building for someone who is low income. They provide limited care to there residents that is why they only allow certain seniors to rent their apartments. It is strictly for a senior who is independent and wants to live in a safe secured environment and atmosphere. The common areas are nice and clean and the surrounding neighborhood is one of the better neighborhoods in the metropolitan Detroit areas. They can provide some individual services to their residents individuals needs that is why it is best for an independently individual to live there. Primarily the residents that live there must be independent and must qualify to live there they must be mobile and low income. I would rate McGivney Bethune Apartments on a three stars rating because they provide limited care for their residents. While there I noticed that the vast majority of their residents were mobile and independent because of the lack of services and care that they provided for their residents. Their residents appeared to be healthy and just need to live in a safe and secured environment. I would rank McGivney Bethune apartments on a three stars rating for the lack of services and care that they provide for their residents. But for assisting and supporting the low income individuals I would allow them a five stars rating for supporting the low income senior community in Detroit, Michigan because there is an increased number of impoverished seniors living in Detroit, Michigan..
