My mother is now at Taylor and Jackie Assisted Living. I chose this community because it's only five minutes from my own house. It made a big difference. I was able to get her a private room. Unfortunately, we just found out that she has stomach cancer, so now she's going into hospice care, and they are willing to take her there till her end. I'm very pleased with them. I'm very pleased with the staff, too. If I have any questions, they're right on top of it, so that has been a lot easier for me because caregiving is not easy. You have no idea the pressure that this team of people has taken off of me. The food was pretty good, too. I was surprised. They have clean bathrooms, too. Her room is clean. Down in the kitchen, when it's time for the guys to eat, everything is set up. They seem to support each other, even the patients. They did something for Mother's Day. They also celebrate all the patients' birthdays and things like that. I haven't had a chance to see all those because she hadn't come yet, but I got a newsletter through email letting me know what was happening that particular week. Regarding value for the money, it's worth it considering she has now gone into hospice care, so she is going to need more care. She is doing pretty well so far. She just came back from the hospital yesterday, and she seemed to be smiling when she got back, like she was glad to be there.
