"I like the lady who did the tour for me at Dulaney Valley Assisted Living at Hunt Valley. She was very thorough and very helpful. The place was nice and clean. I don't think they had the best communication, though, because she was not aware that I was coming for the tour. They also scheduled me at a time that wasn't good for the lady giving me the tour, because they were doing their medicine with the residents, but she still gave me the tour. I didn't like that their stairs were very narrow. They had a chairlift, which was good and I think they have to, but for anybody attempting to walk down the stairs, it could have been a hazard. There wasn't a lot of room. They provide the meals there. They have a day room and do activities with them, but there's no beauty salon. It's a residential home, so they don't have stuff like that. The dining area was nice. Everywhere I went there, everything was clean."

"My brother is in a unique situation. He had a debilitating stroke when he was younger, now at only 55, his health was in decline and he needed assisted living. The staff at Viva are so vibrant and joyful. They've treated my brother with so much respect and encouragement. They want him to get better in hopes that he may regain some independence - and it's working! They won't let him quit. This level of care goes beyond what is simply required. "Heart Homes was small, and it felt comfortable. It was warm and homey. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had activities. They were playing bingo, and they watch TV. The bedrooms were fine and a decent size. They were clean and had their own bathroom. The dining room was the right size. "

"I visited Ideal Comfort Assisted Living and toured for assisted living. It's not a good facility. I would never take my father there. The rooms are too small, and there's no privacy. It's not set up for level 3 care, so my father wouldn't have 24-hour coverage. It's not handicap accessible, and the neighborhood is not that great as well, so it just wouldn't be a good fit for him. The person who gave the tour was nice enough. That wasn't the issue; the person was okay. The only suggestion I will make is that I think they need to break down the number of people who are in there, I think they need more privacy and more staff. I think they are understaffed if they're going to offer level 3 care."

"Hello this facility is phenomenal it’s clean well decorated it has so much space and allows you to ask for cook to order meals. The food is home cooked daily the owner and staff can cook.This is a Christian base facility. This facility is very personable the treat you with respect. About That Life make sure you are well groomed and make sure you gain all the necessary weight by feeding you good meals. Every resident and Family love the staff especially the owner Mrs.C she goes above and beyond. I have never seen the owner cook,clean and work just as hard as staff Ms.C does. Thank you so much for being that loving facility for my family and my love ones."

"My husband was at Abbey Manor Assisted Living. He was there for three weeks for respite. Our experience was good. There was a lot of gently used furniture in the room, but very comfortable, like living in a home. They were updating their furniture there. They had painted, they were getting carpeting, and they were replacing the furniture. As individuals passed away, they would update the rooms. The staff was very nice. It would have been helpful if there were more, but I'm sure if there were more staff, the price would have been beyond what I could have afforded. Everyone was very nice to him. The food was delicious. They were friendly and very pleasant. They had a lot of social activities. They played bingo. They had a gentleman who was just terrific, very outgoing, and very gregarious. He would pull everybody together and go over the local news headlines and he would ask people, who was the last president and who would you vote for out of these four people if they were running for president, very much orienting people to time, place, and circumstance. They did a lot of wheelchair exercises and tossed the balloon back and forth while they were in the wheelchair. The gentleman who led the activities was excellent. He was able to pull everybody in and participate. They gave healthy snacks out every afternoon and every evening. The food was delicious. You could smell the food cooking when you walked in the front door. My husband had three falls while he was there. He was at high risk for falls and one of them happened when he was with two people. He had a little bit of trouble orienting himself at night. He was used to me being with him at night, sleeping in the same room, so he would get up to the side of the bed to use the urinal, which was hooked on the bedside stand drawer and he would flip. After the first fall, they did at my request put a bed alarm on the bed, and when he was up in the daytime, it was in the chair and if it went off, they would respond immediately, which was good. He frequently needed toileting and I used to worry at night because there's a 1:16 ratio at night. They handled that pretty well. I said, "If you have an emergency, what do you do?" "We pull somebody over from the next building," "We'd pull them over right away to help." I think there may have been some staffing difficulties at times, but they were always able to get someone to cover, with COVID and everything else. He enjoyed his stay there. Everyone was really friendly and they did the best they could given the resources. The price was very reasonable. They offered us permanent placement there, and we decided not to opt for permanent placement. I had dinner and lunch with him and it was very good. They've taken down all of their pictures. The furnishings and all wasn't the biggest issue for me. The biggest issue was safety. They had concerns that they were refreshing their decor."

"Tudor Heights was very welcoming and clean, and it smelled good. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. The grounds and location were perfect. The rooms were clean, refreshing, and had everything a patient would need, and the bathroom facilities were accessible. The residents seemed to be happy with their surroundings."

"Taylor and Jackie Assisted Living was a little small, but everything looked nice. It was the first time I've been in assisted living, so I didn't have anything else to compare it against. The staff was very friendly. She took the time to explain everything they did and gave us an opportunity to go upstairs and check the rooms. It was nice and clean. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It's a good location. It's near Sinai, and if you had to go to Northwest, it still wouldn't be too far away."

"I went to visit Mabel's House Assisted Living. I liked the place. It was nice. I met the owner, and he was nice when talking to me. As a matter of fact, I was planning on a place for my husband there. I liked that the place was neat, clean, and big. It would have worked for me. I enjoyed talking to the guy. He was willing to work with me as far as the different ways to accommodate my husband price-wise and everything. It had a spacious kitchen and a big dining area. The street is a busy street. If anybody comes to visit, they can park in the back without risking their car getting hit in the street. I met two of the residents that were there."
