Young At Heart I

We saw Young at Heart. It was very nice. It's all one level, like all their rooms are on one level, but where my father would be is under construction, so that's why we didn't choose that one. The staff was personable and nice. They were doing meal time. It was excellent upkeep. There's plenty of room outside. There's a lot of acreage there. They have a deck off the second unit. There are two houses on one property. The first one just has steps down into the yard, and the other one has a balcony, which is huge, and they can all sit out there in both facilities. My father would have a roommate, too, but that would not matter at all, because the room that he would be sharing was huge. The facility has two kitchens, one in each community home that she has there on the premises. Her husband works there also. They're both trained nurses and they have a doctor that comes in.

Went there for a tour, had a scheduled apt and it was BAD! Noone would answer the door and finally a little elderly sweet lady unlocked and opened the door. We went in and there were no workers there. Just about 4 elders sitting on the a couch. A few minutes later a lady in medical uniform that couldn't speak english appeared from a back room. She had no idea what was going on and the only thing we could understand is that she must of been eating lunch. We just left but felt very bad for the elders there. We would never recommend or put any of our loved ones there. It surprised me that they had any good review!

The staff was warm, professional, and informative. Unfortunately my Mother was there at the height of covid 19. Pat the administrator gave my Mother personal attention care and treatment. It kept my mind at ease. The administration also offered a variety of options for payment. The family like setting made my Mother feel like she was in a family and not an institution. I will forever be grateful to Young at heart for the warm treatment given to my beloved mother.
