My dad was a resident of The Cottages of Perry Hall. I like the cottages for him. I like the layout of it and the people that were there were very hands-on and very involved. What I liked about it is that they are actually like cottages and that each little house has its staff. In each little cottage, they had their dining room, they had their big living room because all the rooms were basically like the studio, they had a bathroom. They had a large area that was nice because they would go outside. There were deer that they would feed. They could go out and socialize and, it was almost like if you lived on a court, all your neighbors came out like that's what they would do, like for Halloween and stuff. That's what they did and it was nice. They had big decks on the back that the residents could go out during the day, depending on how noble they were. The only area that they could have improved upon would be their meal prep.

The Cottages of Perry Hall is always clean. It's individual cottages and there's 16 residents in each cottage. Every month the main room and the hallways are decorated for whatever holiday is that month. They're always changing, and it's always bright, and it's always cheery as far as the atmosphere. The care is very good. If anything happened to him, they'd always be on top of it. He has a balance problem, so he falls, and they've been right there. And if anything happens, they will call and let me know. They have the doctor that comes in, and they have a podiatrist that comes in. They have a beauty salon there where the woman comes in and does hair, and the man trims the beard. They have everything covered. Laundry is done regularly. The food is very good. The caregivers are always very pleasant. They always greet you. I've been there where they come down and check on my husband. The atmosphere is good. They're very well taken care of. They have a fantastic activities director. I've been there when she was doing activities with them in the main area. She's just really good. She has more energy than I ever had. She will have them sitting around in a circle in the main room. They're singing songs, they're moving their arms, and they're moving their legs. She might be doing some memory type of things like tossing them a ball and asking them a question, like what was the thing that you remember, or what was the happiest day in your life. They do cornhole tosses. They have parties. They have a whole bunch of activities, just different activities to get them up and moving and thinking and just keeping them busy, so they're not sitting in their rooms all day long. If the residents don't want to, they don't force them, but they encourage them. They had a crab feast and a Thanksgiving event for the families before Thanksgiving. Relatives were invited to a Thanksgiving dinner. They are having events that include the family and the families are always welcome there.

The Cottages of Perry Hall was a very nice facility. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but they didn't need that much room. I liked that they paired people that had personalities that went together. The staff who toured us was very friendly. Everybody knew everybody. Everybody talked to each other. All the staff knew all the people. They were all very friendly and caring. They just had lots of things for the people to do. There were a lot of activities and things going on.

When I first began my search for Assisted Living for my dad I placed a call to The Cottages of Perry Hall and got the most pleasant voice on the other end of my phone, the Sales Director Missy. She was patient and kind and full of knowledge. I could truly tell that her heart is in her job at The Cottages. She made what was such an overwhelming process to me so much easier. After our conversation I felt a sense of peace and I felt much calmer. I visited The Cottages the next day and Missy was even more pleasant in person. I was able to interact with some residents that came by Missys office and all seemed so very happy to be there. Everyone knows everyone’s name, it is a smaller place but that makes it all the better in my opinion. I would choose The Cottages over and over again. My dad will be moving in next week.

The Cottages of Perry Hall was very convenient. It's only a few miles from my home. It was a separate building, which had its own nurses, so I thought that my dad might be able to get more care. We are going over there to pick a room if we get accepted. The staff took a lot of time with us. They took us through several cottages. Some of the residents that were there also spent an hour showing us around. I didn't try their food but when we walked in, they were cooking and it smelled really good. The cook was proud of what he did. He even offered us to sit down and try out his food. We didn't do it, but the offering was there. The facilities looked good.

I toured this facility. It was wonderful, the staff was great, smiling and happy even I came in. The Sales Director and I did not have an appt and she was fabulous, and very accommodating and took her time to talk with me about my parents and show me around. I even met some current residents that said their stay has been great.

My dad is now at The Cottages of Perry, and so far we've been very, very pleased. He's very comfortable there and they're giving him great care. Compared to some of the other places we looked at, his room is probably a little small, but it's clean. The food is very good, he's enjoying the food. They have a lot of activities that they do with the groups, they take them outside and they take them on trips. He has his own TV and his private bathroom. We like the place very much and the location is convenient.

I like The Cottages of Perry Hall. I like the fact that it was more of a family setting. I didn't meet everyone, but from what I saw, the staff members seemed nice. They said they had an activity coordinator to set up activities for them. The facility needs updating, but they are in the process of updating and renovating. Everything seemed nice and clean. They just hired a chef, so that should be nice.

My husband was a resident in the Memory Care Unit for 3 yrs. During that time, I visited him almost daily and saw the wonderful care, concern and even love he received by the amazing staff. I am very happy we choose the Cottages and would recommend them to anyone who can no longer care for their loved ones.

The Cottages of Perry Hall was nice. It was a happy home setting, and only 16 residents lived there. It's homey and you can feel that the place was nice. I like that it's small. The woman who gave me the tour yesterday was very nice, and she did an excellent job. I didn't see an outside place where they could go. The upkeep and cleanliness looked nice and it's a convenient location for my family to go.

My dad moved into The Cottages of Perry Hall. It's only been a month, but the staff is very, very nice, helping, and caring. And so far, I don't have an issue with that. I just have an issue with the number of activities that are provided. But it may be because of Covid and just starting to get everything started again. I'm not sure what the issue is. They provide housekeeping, laundry, meals, TV, and things like that.

My wife is in The Cottages of Perry Hall. They're very nice people. They have a good ratio of help to patients. There's only 16 people in a cottage. They are very protective. They have new staff, and they are improving the facility quite a bit. For me, it's very handy to get to. They have activities. The food is made in the individual cottages for the 16 people there. It's more like homemade food and restaurant food; it seems very adequate. They are improving and I think they will be better in the future with a new administration. Value for the money is very good. I've seen a little bit of the food and what I've seen has been very good. They do a little bit of activities three times a day, especially at night when Sundowners come around. In memory care, they're kind of secluded. They have nice rooms. They have their own private bathrooms, and they have good staff.

My brother is in The Cottages of Perry Hall. We're very pleased with them, they take very good care of him, and the staff is very good, and very efficient. Every time we'd call and check on him, they responded immediately, and he seems to be happy and content. So far, we've been very satisfied, and he's very comfortable.

The Cottages of Perry Hall was OK. There were different cottages for people to stay that had their own big kitchen. They didn't have as many activities on-site. The guy that I spoke to was extremely nice, very informative, and did a good job.
