"I went to Shangrila Senior Living. They provide three meals a day. They have activities and a nice eating area. You have a choice of eating in your room or eating in the eating area. They have a recreational room that allows you to socialize and be with people. They have a beauty salon. And, a therapist comes in once a week. The staff was very informative. He took me to meet some of the people who reside there. I thought it was nice. The people there seemed comfortable and happy."

"My son-in-law's mom was at Brighton Gardens of Columbia. I spent probably a good 30 to 40 minutes with her Christmas day. I would go for a brief visit to check on her because it's not too far from where I live. They're very nice staff. She was a resident there, and she passed away this morning. It was clean. I was very impressed. I think two of the residents have dogs. They have these black labs that are just beautiful. They're quiet, and all they do is just lay down and look at you. The kitchen staff was very accommodating. They try to keep the residents engaged in different activities. They don't walk around looking unhappy. It's almost like they have many apartments. You're either in your own suite or in a shared suite, but you have privacy by having your own room, and the common area is like a mini kitchen and a bathroom. It is nice. I would give them the highest rating. I tried their food, and it was excellent. The food is very good. I know it is very expensive, but the expense is based on the patient's needs. So if a patient can't walk, somebody has to come in and get them up, get them out of bed, put them in the bed, change their diaper or whatever, and everything costs."

"I toured Regency Crest. The community seems to be very nice and well-secured. It's quiet. The lady who assisted me was very polite and very knowledgeable. The facility was in very good and excellent condition. The rooms were a little bit tighter than I had wanted because I knew some of my friends would not be able to get in there."

"Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City was a very nice place and had good amenities. The staff was very knowledgeable, and friendly, and gave us a good and thorough tour. The rooms were a little small but adequate. The facility was very neat and clean. The dining area was a little small but adequate. I didn't observe any activity because it was lunchtime."

We provide 24 hours 7 days a week care for our residents. We provide the residents loved ones with time for them to visit and spend time with their loved ones.

"My husband and I stayed in Lorien Encore for respite. What I liked best was that the staff was wonderful there. I was able to do my medications, but my husband wasn't familiar with his medication, so they took over doing that. At first, it was rough. It was confusing, but they got it all straightened out, and it was fine for the rest of the weeks we were there. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it was very innovative of the things that they served, but the problem was that by the time it came out of the kitchen, it was cold. They were willing to heat it, but then it would just have taken longer. The cleanliness was outstanding. They had people come in for yoga, different exercises, bingo, and craft activities throughout the day. They had a movie theater where they had documentaries you could go to any time during the day and watch a movie. They had a little cafe there. If you had guests come, they could go there, and you could have lunch with them in the cafe. We did get what we paid for, but it's so expensive. The place we were in had a living area and then a bedroom, and we had plenty of room, a nice big closet, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink in every room."

"I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"This is a disorganized facility and my friend who lives there is very unhappy. On person elevator that takes forever to come. There is a lack of toilet per in bathrooms. He has had many items stolen. The bathroom he uses across from his room was out of service for 2 weeks. He was told to use a bathroom on a different floor. They are always out of certain food items such as coffee and condiments that they haven't thought to include such as Parmesan cheese for spaghetti. He also cannot regulate the temperature in his room."

"My husband moved into Paradise Assisted Living. His level of care exceeded what I expected. The attendants seem to be very compassionate and are constantly supervising his needs, whether it be bathing, dressing, or ensuring that he's eating all of his meals and getting the proper medical treatment. They seem to want him or encourage him to interact with social activities. On my last visit with him, I asked him if he was happy there, and he said yes. He was happy that everybody was very nice, and that's what I found as well. I think they're doing a stellar job. His room is nice. It came furnished, so I did not have to furnish it. He is in a private room. It has more than adequate space, his own private shower, a substantial closet, and dressers. It has a window that overlooks the rear courtyard, so I'm very happy with it. I've only been there for one meal, but it was soup and a sandwich. He devoured it while I was there, and he said it was very tasty. So I'm assuming that all of his meals are cooked with the same level of care and nutritional guidelines that they look at. The facility is very spacious. They have the main floor of the entryway with the dining room, the activity center, and the nurses' stations. They have two separate floors, one for assisted living and one for memory care. Every single floor that I've been on has been well-appointed with furnishings, as well as very clean. I believe they have numerous activities throughout the day. Everybody was involved in the activity. When I was there, they were all doing some sort of drawing, coloring, and painting. They have a separate television room where they can watch movies of their choice."

"Seeking a great experience with assist living home. The owner is extremely friendly and so is the staff. Our love one truly enjoys the friendship and never complains. Each time that we made unexpected visit we found the house clean and our love one clean as well. "
