I am a granddaughter of a resident at Rose's Place and I have been to visit my grandmother a few times in the last month and i must say this place keeps them active. I love going in and they are dancing or singing along with the CNA's and they always are excited when doing so. I have also been during dinner time and i must say their plates always look great. the food is food that i would eat as well but not cooked with all types of salt and things, they really care about their diets. I wouldn't consider moving or putting my grandmother somewhere else because i can truly say that she gets the best care that she needs at Rose's Place.

My grandmother is presently a resident of an assisted living facility. In visiting her at two facilities, I have become acquainted with some of the issues relevant to assisted living communities. In the place where she currently resides, the staff is very attentive to the residents, and treat them almost as children. The facility is located in a single family home that is very clean and neatly organized. Meals are given on a predictable schedule, that provides comfort and a sense of routine to the residents. In addition, a sense of comfort is given by the fact that the staff works a schedule of ten days on, ten days off. Some areas where I think the facility could be improved include allowing the residents to go outside more frequently, particularly on trips to different areas in the community. I also think that the residents would benefit from more structured activities, such as art classes, or visits from pets. However, generally speaking,I think that the facility does a good job in keeping their residents safe and moderately entertained.
