My mother-in-law moved to Brookdale Stonestreet. It's a great place. It has a lot of activities for all the residents. They have a luncheon area where they enjoy dinner. They come down and sit at a table. They assign them a table mate that are in their same age bracket. The tables are covered with linens, a very nice setting. They have piano players. They have games and checkers, and they play cards, just about anything that you would want to do. It's a two-story building and they have an elevator, which is great. My mother-in-law loves the meals. The studio apartment has a kitchenette, a microwave, and a small refrigerator where she can have her snacks or whatever she wants to keep. It has a huge closet, lots of closet space, and a bed, a nice view, and the windows are big.

My mother-in-law will be moving into Brookdale Stonestreet. It was a smaller community, and we liked that. I can say that they were going to be able to help us with taking my mother-in-law to doctor's visits, and that was a plus for us. The facility looked very nice and clean. The price was good. We're just really happy that we found this place. They had a very nice dining room. They had laundry rooms, hair salons, and a community room where she could be with other people. At that very time, they were shampooing carpets in the hall.

My father has moved into Brookdale Stonestreet. I like the location. Looking at a couple of ones, I had to choose one. I just liked it the best. The rooms are good sized and spacious. They have activities and stuff, but my father doesn't participate. The staff I met were willing to help, so that's good. My father loves the meals, too. I ate lunch with him before. I also observed the residents in the common area, talking and watching TV and stuff. They all looked pleasantly happy.

I was impressed with Brookdale Stonestreet. That's probably where I would go myself. It looked extremely nice and well kept. The staff was very friendly and gave me a lot of information, and I just liked the place in general.

My mother was in Brookdale Stonestreet. At that time, they called me and told me that my mother had fallen and that she had cracked her open, and she didn't know who she was or where she was. They asked me what hospital I would like her to be taken to, I told them, and I only live a couple of minutes away, so I rushed over there. It turned out, it was not my mother; it was another tenant. My mother was fine. She was sitting there watching TV in her apartment. The size of her apartment was very, very small. For the amount of money, it was paid twice as much money and had half as much space. It was very tiny. The food was the same as hospital food; it was flavorless. My mother said that it looked like they didn't even try. It was extremely expensive. They had a walking area; they had a path around the property. They had a little patio area in the back that you could go to, but you had to go through multiple doors to get to it. Someone who was in a wheelchair or a walker might have had trouble getting through one of the doors. The door was a little heavy, so if it was an older person who's kinda weak or using a walker, it shuts kinda quick and it had some weight to it, so that might have been something that they needed to watch out for. When my mother was in Brookdale, she was spending almost $3300 a month, and for that much money, she could at least have some flavor in her food. They had hotdogs and baloney sandwiches and stuff for dinner one day, that's not dinner for a grown person, that's a snack for a child. For that much money, she should have a real meal. That was very disappointing.

Brookdale Stonestreet was a good community. They had adequate activities and they offered supplemental services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy on-site. They're not equipped to deal with memory care patients. They have menu-style pricing for additional services, but I didn't feel like the value of the services added were adequate for what we were anticipating versus what we got, and that's why we moved.

My brother moved into Brookdale Stonestreet last March 8, and its been great. He likes it, we like it, and we like the people there that we talked to. I have friends that go see him, hes in good shape, hes well taken care of, and they help him take care of himself. We sat with him as he ate, and its very nice. I know they have a movie room and he likes that idea, and I think theres a library upstairs. There are 2 different living room areas, one upstairs and one downstairs, and he can go and sit in those rooms. Theres a side walk all around the building, and he likes to walk there all the time. I would definitely recommend it to others.

My mother has been here for 4-5 years or so and has fallen numerous times and no one came to help her. The food is being cooked by a 21-year old that has NO experience and despite the many many complaints to the head of food and the building director, NOTHING has been done about it. I went there for mothers day and had lunch and the food was very greasy (I couldn't eat it) the salad was soggy and the mashed potatoes were cold.Whenever I stay late at nights when leaving I always see the same thing, employees setting on the couch playing with their phones. One night back in December my sister had taken Mom Christmas shopping and they lock the front door at 8PM, when they arrived Mom had forgotten they had just changed the entry code and couldn't get in, so the 2 of them stood at the front door banging on the door for someone to open it and my sister called and it just rang off the hook, finally a young girl came over and opened the door for them, but they froze standing out in the night air. The staff is generally very nice and mostly helpful, but there are many times the hallways smell like stale urine and at a cost of approx. $36,000 + a year, WE expect better standards. I'm sorry but no one seems to be concerned about anything that goes on up there and I will be locating a better facility somewhere else and believe me there are plenty in Louisville area.

Brookdale Stonestreet is a very nice place. The people were very nice and the apartments were very clean and nice. When I visited, they were playing a game in the game room and they were watching a movie.

My grandmother is in Brookdale. She is a very picky eater but she has been eating every meal, so the food must be pretty good because she likes it. The dining area is great, open and airy, like a restaurant. The room looks brand new, it’s more like a studio apartment, and it was very spacious. It was clean, and it had a really fresh, clean smell to it. The staff who helped my grandmother was very nice, helpful, and goes above and beyond. They need to improve on their price points in as far as assisting on the medications. The place is very safe and secure.

I went over and visited Brookdale Stonestreet. I liked it. It was very bright and sunny. There seemed to be a really good atmosphere in there, and I liked the fact that they had like a little walking trail, places to sit outside and visit if they wanted to go outside. I liked the fact that it just had a feeling that they were on a cruise or kind of like in a vacation. I thought that was really nice. It was really open. The staff showed me a couple of the rooms, and they were just a good atmosphere. I did really like it. If I would retire, this was where I would like to retire.

My mother is here, and I think they’re understaffed. I don’t think she’s getting the level of care that we’re paying for, and the wait times are ridiculous. They had a big staff turnover when they were bought out. The people working there for the most part are very nice, but I think they just need more people. The enrichment life director is very good and is a very caring lady, and the social worker and the nursing staff are good. They have activities, and they go shopping or to restaurants. I am not too impressed with the food, and there were few options.

My mother-in-law lived in here for one and a half years. It was close to her children's house. She would have stayed there for longer time, but we ran out of money. It was a really nice facility. They did have a nice living area. Her room was nice and big. She had a huge bathroom. I love that huge bathroom! She had a nice living room area. Linda, my mother-in-law, was able to look out in the back and see the woods and trees and it was really nice. It was a beautiful view. Food was good. My wife and her sister went over a couple of times and ate with their mother. Regarding residents, A lot of them would sit in their rooms and watch TV. However, on good warm days, they would go out in front and sat there. They would have some tables and chairs and it was really nice. My mother-in-law had a really good tan on her hands and on her face.

My parents lived here, we chose it because it was close to my brother and me. We liked the setting which was back in the woods so it looked peaceful and calm. There were one bedroom facilities and the others had two rooms. We got them the two bedroom room and it was a good-sized room and had everything they needed. The staff were accommodating and everybody we dealt with had been extremely friendly, I had no problems with the staff. There was a nurse in the personal care wing all the time and they dispensed the medications. There were also a lot of activities like Friday night movie, bingo, church group, cook outs, etc. The dining room was pretty and they let you choose like restaurant style and the food was very good. The facility was really well-equipped.
