Aventura Senior Living at Overland Park

I went to see the independent living community of Aventura Senior Living at Overland Park, and it was beautiful. The woman who showed me around was very kind and very knowledgeable. The facility is gorgeous. It has just been redone, so all of the units were brand-new, and it was lovely. Everything is bright and beautiful. They also had a lot of activities available, so it was very nice. We did not choose it for my parents because they had to do the renovations as the city required. They had all the residents move out in order for the renovations to be done, so that the people did not have to live in a construction site. Now that the renovations are complete, they are refilling the residences. It's only about 30% occupied, currently. The great thing is that you could have picked any apartment you wanted because it's open. However, for my parents, who are very, very social, it was a little too soon. If they had come in, maybe next summer, when it was 80% occupied, they probably would have moved in. At 30% occupancy, it was just too quiet for them. It was beautiful, though, and they also loved it.
