"El Dorado West was a great place. It would be our #1 choice. It's a beautiful place and immaculate. If I was looking for a long-term community, I would move there today. That's how much I liked it. They do a nice job for those folks. They have memory care there, but it's full. It's about as close as you could get to being at your own home. They provide a good atmosphere and activities. It's not depressing. They're very thorough there. I walked the whole facility and I'm pretty particular and it was immaculate. The staff was nice. They're nice to the residents. I like the fact they know their residents by name. It makes them feel more of a part of a community, not just a resident. I looked at two different types of rooms, but I would describe them as more than enough room and I think priced accordingly. The food and the menu choices looked good. They go the extra mile to make sure their folks are happy. I've never been there before, so I don't have the incentive to be nice here, but It's a wonderful place. The dining area had plenty of seating. They have people spaced accordingly, very upbeat, light and bright, accessible, and nice. The common areas are nice. They have a movie area. All the areas are nice. They showed their monthly schedule of activities for seniors. They had a beauty shop if they need their hair done. They're having a holiday party for their residents and their staff. They have shopping trips. All of these things are on a monthly schedule that people can sign up for that are more active. I think that's nice because they have quite a bit of assistance there. It's immaculate. The buildings were in very good shape. The common areas were in good shape, the hallways, the apartments themselves. You could tell the building was well maintained and there were no smells. It's a nice place. I was impressed. I didn't expect to see what I saw. They weren't trying to upsell me. They were more on giving me information to understand the community, the environment, and what they have for residents, which is what I was there for. The place sold itself. It's beautiful, well maintained, and up-to-date. It's not dismal. It's not lacking in maintenance. You could tell that they maintain everything from the common outside areas, garden areas, interior, exterior, and the parking lot was clean. It had a nice appeal when you drive up. The lobby was very appealing. The dining room was appealing. They did a good job for their community. Overall, the value for your dollar, that's an exceptional place."

"I plan to move into Sound Vista Village. It's on one floor. It's accessible for motorized transports. The units appear to be well maintained and adequate in size. The staff is very friendly. I had lunch there and the food was well prepared. At this time, the residents are basically self quarantined. They take their meals in their units rather than do communal dining. It's an attractive building. It's well designed and well maintained. It's in a semi-secluded area."

"Peninsula was great. The rooms were very nice, the residents were very friendly, and it was very clean. The food was very good, and they have a large selection of entrees. The dining area was decorated nicely, they had printed menus, and the people seemed pretty happy. They have field trips, games, and an exercise program. My mother liked that they can have their dogs there. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided a great follow-up. The outdoor garden was very nice."

"I went to the Reserve at Seatac. I think it was good, except for certain facilities that were limited; the computer room wasn't even open. It was clean, the person touring us was very professional, great customer service, and helpful. The apartments were excellent, really nice, all modern. They had a lounge, huge fireplace in the common area, there was a recreation room, a common dining area, meeting rooms that they could reserve, they had a little theater, and that was actually a plus. It's close to a bus stop, so it's convenient."

"Edmonds Landing is a coastal community and it's friendly. They have adequate but small kitchens and the staff was really helpful. The people there were having lunch and that's what we saw. Their dining area is adequate, they have a chef and take some pride in it. They have a patio and courtyard but they're pretty limited in size. It's very urban, very city oriented, so it's not spacious, but comfortable."

"GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston was beautiful, but it was just a little too above the price point. The staff members are wonderful, caring people, they are. The rooms were very nice. Everybody has their private bedroom in their shared rooms, but they share the bathroom. You walk through a door and there's the bathroom off to the left, and then there's a door for one resident's room and then the next door to another door for the other resident's room. They're kind of private, but they share a bathroom, and that was nice. They have a deck because they're up on the third floor. They can also go down to the courtyard, but they have to be escorted. They were wonderful and genuinely caring. The residents seemed to be very happy there."

"My wife moved into Pacific Regent Bellevue. They did fine. It was a very nice place, not cheap, but nice. The staff was great."

"I toured their independent living section of The Watermark at Bellevue, and it's very nice and very high-end. As a matter of fact, up on the top floor, they have a penthouse there for $12,000 a month. The lower floors are cheaper. For people who like city life, it's like living in a big city where you have to pay for parking, and that's not my cup of tea. I want something more rural where I can drive in, drive out, and not have to pay for parking. I'm just more of a suburban type. It was very nice, though. I've been there twice, and their food was excellent. The facilities were very nice because they're new, so everything was perfect."

"We are so grateful for Cogir Kirkland! My mom has lived there for 3 months, and it's such a relief to know she is safe and well cared for. The community is only a year old--it's beautiful, light, and well-maintained, plus the rooms are very large. And surprisingly, the food is great! But the very best part is the staff! They are very skilled and professional, while also being super kind and caring. My mom is at the end of life, and can be "difficult" on top of it. Each staff member works extra hard to ensure she is heard; that she has everything she needs; and that she is comfortable and happy. Cogir Kirkland has a new General Manager that has been successful in implementing new systems and processes, and in building a strong and committed team. We are so happy to have them as part of our family!"
