"The staff at Stafford is very friendly and nice. My mother is in a private room. They have activities for a central community room and an exercise room. Right now, we're not allowed to go in, so you cannot really do visits. We visit at the window; we go to the window and talk back and forth through the window. We're not allowed into the building yet because of COVID."

"I really appreciate the care and compassion that was given to my mother. It was amazing! We were turned down by other facilities because she had exhausted her Medicare. BHRC accepted ehr, and she is now better than ever. That is a beautiful unit! The staff are amazing, the care is fantastic and I was always well informed! I will always take her back there! Always! Thank you Elsa, Sadie, Heather, Crystal, Anna, Bambi, Wayne and everyone! "

"My dad is always clean and well taken care of when I visit on a random basis. They even had a nice electric shaver donated to him. Each person has their own individual room and share a bathroom with someone. They have a nice covered area for residents to gather and visit outside. Deer are welcome. They feed them corn so there is a chance you will see them on one of your visits. "

"My wife moved into the Life Care Center of Port Orchard for long-term care. They were one of two facilities that did Medicaid, and they were the better choice of the two. Her room is excellent. The staff has been awesome. It's being remodeled now, and it's looking great. They're keeping everything very clean during the remodel, and they're remodeling the whole building on the inside. They are helping her with physical therapy, occupational therapy, a dietitian, and nutrition - basically everything she needs."

"I had my father admitted to Ridgmont at the end of september for acute dehydration, failure to thrive, after being discharged from another facility with diarrhea that turned out to be Cdiff. But that is another review for that facility. The staff at Ridgmont were attentive, worked with me to problem solve, and were extremely kind to my father. The Staff in the TCU are outstanding, and Denise, the unit manager is truly a gem, along with Liisa, KIm,Tom, and all the other NUrses aides and Nurses that worked with my dad. The physical therapy department worked with my dad in a gentle, encouraging manner, always aware of his pain issues.Dr Sharman was always available when problems arose and treated my dads issues with thoughtful consideration, never rushing his visits with my dad, as i have seen with other providers. When dad did not eat his meals, the kitchen supervisor came and talked to my dad to see if there was a problem they could fix. My dad is now home and doing well due to the excellent nursing care the facility provided. "

"The facility was well kept. The landscapes were appealing and the exterior of the building looked inviting. The interior looked professional and comfortable. The food was acceptable. It is not a 4-star restaurant, but the variety was good and the food was nutritious. The staff was friendly and reliable. The dignity of those in the facility was upheld by the staff. Rooms were small, but adequate. It was nice to have a facility with so many residents. It seemed like there was always something for the residents to do. "

"I've visited several times and its great to see happy nurses and happy patients. It's always hard to check a loved one into a nursing home but you will be happy with the care provided here. Therapy is amazing and the nurses really cared. The staff keep you busy during downtime and work hard to get you feeling better."

"Overall, we have had a pretty good experience with this living facility. My great-grandmother is currently living there. While she does have some memory issues associated old-age, the employees here do a great job helping her and being accommodating. Overall, the employees are very friendly. In terms of training, I'm not familiar enough with assisted living facilities to know about this, but we have never had any problems with any of the staff in terms of health care or treatment. My great-grandmother loves to read, and they provide plenty of large print books for her to look at. She enjoys the food, which is good, though it seems about average to me. The other residents are nice and friendly, but there is also a lot of privacy in each room so depending on the visit I either interact with a lot of residents or none of them. This is great for my great-grandmother because depending on her mood sometimes she wants to be alone, other times she wants to talk to people. Overall, we've really enjoyed this facility and would recommend it to others. In terms of affordability, this place seems to be slightly more expensive, but it is a really nice facility, has kind of a "cottage" style look to it too, and it is in a nice area of Washington State. This area is far away from an urban center, but we live nearby so it works well for us. I would recommend it just based on our experience with it. "

"I recently had the opportunity to tour the Vashon Community Care Center which is located on Vashon Island in Washington State. I found the care center to be a model of what assisted living facilities should be. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly and the living spaces throughout the facility were clean, bright and cheerful. Residents were given many recreational and socializing opportunities - including planting flowers is waist high raised garden beds that don't require bending, learning how to bake bread, and regularly scheduled movie nights. The dining room was inviting with a homey feel and residents are free to enjoy meal services throughout the day. Most unique is that the Vashon Community Care Center allows resident who are able to care for pets to have small dogs and cats living with them and for those without their own pets, the facility itself has several loving cats that provide beneficial companionship to residents at the center. Two thumbs up all around. "

Welcome to Avamere Rehabilitation at Park West! Avamere Rehabilitation at Park West is a 5 Star Rated Facility by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Park West is the premier skilled nursing facility in West Seattle, with two zero-deficiency surveys two years in a row! We provide compassionate and personal 24-hour skilled care and rehabilitation services in a comfortable and friendly environment. At Park West, caring is our main concern. We believe the most effective way to provide compassionate care is to maintain high medical integrity, build a team spirit among staff, and provide friendly, beautiful surroundings for our patients and their visitors. Although most transitions are not easy, we strive to facilitate that process with an environment where our patients and guests feel informed and comfortable. The care in our facility focuses on differing populations of individuals. Many individuals in our population are comprised of patients requiring several days or weeks of medical care and therapy before they can safely return home (or to a lower level of care). The remaining population is individuals who require long-term skilled nursing care (lasting weeks, months or even years) as they are unable to return home due to advanced age or illness. Most of these individuals will remain with us until they pass away. Based on each individuals needs, some patients receive rehabilitation (therapy) services to either restore or, where possible, improve to prior physical functioning. For the individual needing long-term skilled nursing care, the attending physician and facility staff will do what they can to assist the individual with the activities of daily living and mobility based on each individuals circumstance. It is important for you to understand, as a patient or a loved one of a patient, that advancing age brings with it the inevitable effects of aging that no medical care or treatment can change or cure. "I'm in Park West Care Center in Seattle for rehab. It's a nice-looking building, it's white, and it is very attractive from the outside. The room I'm in is very adequate for me. It's a 2-person room and from my bed, I can look out the window. I'm on the backside of the building so I kind of look out on the alley but it's okay. They're very good at keeping the place clean. The staff is very good and the people who care for me are good too. They provide activities, but I can't take part in them yet since I'm having to go through rehab. They have bingo and they usually have a movie several times a week. They have entertainment that comes and plays music for them. The food is quite good too. "

"My grandfather has been at The Kenney for almost 4 years now, and, while my mother is the one who takes care of him, I visit fairly frequently. The facility has independent-living, assisted-living, and a nursing/rehab center. For the first couple years, my grandfather was in assisted-living and had a beautiful room with a large window and lots of natural light. After he fell and broke his hip he was moved to the nursing/rehab center, which is in a different part of the facility with much less natural light. His roommate is one of his friends he's known for years, and there are other relatives and friends living in the facility. The staff is very friendly and provide adequate care. There are plenty of activities and entertainment that he attends. Overall, I feel like The Kenney is a good facility, and I believe my grandfather is as happy as he could be in any comparable facility. Compared to a couple other assisted-living facilities I'm familiar with, though, I feel that the nursing/rehab center is not as open or bright, and feels more like a hospital than a living area. "

"My first impression of Bayview Manor in Seattle was that it was pretty nice looking place. I had been to two previous assisted living facilities. Bayview was much nicer than one and not quite as nice as the other. Bayview had a really friendly staff and is located in a pretty nice neighborhood. I was there to visit the grandfather of one of my best friends. He is a widower that suffered a stroke a many years ago. The food actually seemed like something I would want to eat. I really liked how well the staff was able to remember so much about the people that lived there. They almost seemed like family members. I worked for a few years as a janitor, so I am a stickler for clean bathrooms, floors, and such. Bathrooms were really clean and free of odors. The eating utensils where clean and free of water marks (my mother was a germaphobe and taught us to check the utensils first). Floors appeared to be freshly mopped/vacuumed. His actual room was pretty big. It was bigger than most rooms I've rented in apartments and house in Seattle. A lot of the old people seemed to be fairly happy (as happy as you can be in an old folks home). I guess it wouldn't be a bad place to live when that day comes for me. "

"My husband was in Columbia Lutheran Home. All of them were so kind, patient, and helpful. They had a terrific room for the exercises he needed for rehab, and good equipment, and they were also encouraging, so it was good. He shared a room with another man. They got along just fine. There was plenty of room, and the size was good. He didn't complain at all about the food. He thought it was just fine. They had church services there for Catholics, Lutherans, and whatever. They could wheel themselves around and do what they wanted, more or less, as long as they didn't do anything to hurt themselves. I thought it was a good place. They would wheel the people outside, walk around the block, or do something with the wheelchair. Other than that, I can't say anything about activities there. He was in his room most of the time, or he was getting physical therapy."

"With its beautiful views of the city this place is so upscale that you would expect to see a star walk out the front door. The staff is exceptional and full of life. They offer the residents more to do than there are hour's in the day. The outings that the residents go on are great and they offer the residents the opportunity to live independabtly and on their own. They are so warm and loving. "

"I was very satisfied with the care the staff gave to my brother. My brother was the first disabled patient they accepted; they were very tentative at first but thanks to my sister and her undying tenacity, they finally agreed to accept him. The therapy my brother received was amazing, restoring his verbal skills as well as muscle strengthening. He went to rehab everyday, the speech therapist came to him and they were all kind and supportive. The activities coordinator was wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. The facility is a bit dated but who cares...once in a blue moon I would pop in with my brother to say "hello". Many of the staff I no longer know, but I am so grateful to Burien Nursing Rehab for all that they did for my brother."

"Well I had a broken leg from riding a bike to work and I had a schedule with Swedish for a surgery. When I went in there, all the medical staffs were so nice. They provided great hospitality.
