The room needed to be wiped down and cleaned. The bathroom was really bad, old and in need of repair. The doors needed to be wiped down and were dirty. The TV screen was dirty. My dying friend laid in a bed with no bottom sheet and looking uncared for.The nurse call button was on the floor. The nurse was not friendly. He was in pain and the nurse didn't know. I was very upset to see him at the last stages of his life having no dignity in the situation and the lack of attention given to making him comfortable. I would never let a loved one stay there.

The pictures on the website are not what the facility seems to offer. My family member is there for rehabilitation from a surgery. The lobby we went into has torn and stained couches, stained and filthy tables. There were boxes everywhere. Garbage all over the parkinglot. It really made us question the cleanliness and condition of the facility. It is a sick feeling to think a loved one is going to a decent place and it ends up looking like a dump. My family member said the food is awful and there isn't enough staff. It is heartbreaking.

My mother is at Bremerton Health & Rehab Center, and she has been there for almost a year now. It's an old facility, but they're very caring people, and it doesn't smell. Even though the food is not something that I'd want to eat, they have managed to figure out what she wants to eat, and they're catering to her what they can. She has dementia. In the morning, she's doing fine; in the afternoon, she's not so good. She has to have help to get into bed, help with her medicines, and help with her shower. With this Coronavirus, it's pretty much cut down on a lot of things they are doing in the facility now. They used to have lots of activities for the residents. They're encouraging them not to congregate together. They have little things that they go on, but there's no bingo anymore. This is the second time she's been there. The facility is old, but clean. It's too expensive for what she is doing, but the people are superb down there. Because most of the residents in there are Medicaid and Medicare and that's their only income, they're doing the best they can with the moneys that they have. I think that they're doing superb for what they get. There are people down that are paying hardly anything out of their own pocket and the Medicaid is paying the rest and they only pay a portion of it. It's hard to take and feed and do everything that needs to be done with those folks that are down there.

We went to Bremerton. It was later in the day and my husband was getting agitated, but the management at the door was nothing but kind and had a wheelchair for him. This was a good start. They took us throughout the building, and it was very clean. The nurses, the patients, and the facility were clean. We were quite impressed with how gracious they were. My husband in the meantime needed a diaper change, so they gave us a clean diaper. We saw the dining room, and it was clean and organized. It looked like the food was served hot. It also looks sunny and bright, but it some of the place was dark.

Do not send your loved ones to this place. Understaffed. Nurses there are rude and do not care. Call lights go unanswered and the management there only cares about making money.

From what I remember, the staff was always caring and they had many programs for the residents to partake in. Although my aunt was mostly bed-bound, the staff did their best to let my aunt participate in many activities. I would even volunteer to play the piano for the residents which everyone enjoyed. When coming to this home, I always felt welcomed. It was definitely a nursing home feel but I never felt uncomfortable. Regarding the staff, everyone got to know me as a visitor and got to know my aunt even more so. They were very personable which I liked. I believe the home was not too small but not too big either where the nurses weren't too busy to take care of the patients needs. That is important as I heard some other nursing homes are too busy and the patients don't get the right attention they need. I believe this nursing home treated my aunt very well and got the best of care. Since this was so long ago, I don't remember too many facts about amenities and specifics. Thank you.

I really appreciate the care and compassion that was given to my mother. It was amazing! We were turned down by other facilities because she had exhausted her Medicare. BHRC accepted ehr, and she is now better than ever. That is a beautiful unit! The staff are amazing, the care is fantastic and I was always well informed! I will always take her back there! Always! Thank you Elsa, Sadie, Heather, Crystal, Anna, Bambi, Wayne and everyone!

I would like to thank the staff a BHRC for the wonderful care and compassion that you showed for my Uncle. You took the time to listen to his needs and controlled his pain. You also worked very hard to get him back home to Montana so he could be close to his family. My Uncle was glad that he ended up with you otherwise he would not be doing as well as he is and would not have family near by. Thank You for you compassion to those you serve, S. Northwind
