"Drake Terrace was a very nice place, and it had everything we wanted. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect because it was close to shopping places. The rooms were of good size, clean, and well kept. They provide transportation, and they have a calendar of events. "

"We went to The Vincent. We just took a quick tour. The building is in beautiful shape, but then it's brand new. They just built it last year. The rooms were pretty. They were a little higher end. They had crown molding. They had central air instead of air conditioners in the wall. They had rounded corners on the sheetrock and arches instead of square. It was a little higher end. I thought it was a little pretentious, though. When you walked into the main room, it was huge. The ceilings were 20 feet high. It was nice for some people, but it didn't feel cozy to me. I thought it felt kind of cold. I didn't like it, and it was way more expensive. The only person that we talked to there was the salesperson, and she was great. She was very informative and really easy to talk to. They showed us their exercise room, and it was this long skinny room that had two older pieces of gear, and that was it, there was nothing to it, and I thought, 'This is terrible.'"

"I am a very short timer, however, during this short time I have been treated with kindness and consideration. The staff has been quick to be helpful and their helpfulness has always been appropriate. I have been allowed to have a big dog and that has worked out very well. Other residents have, for the most part, been especially friendly. I love my room that just happens to have and office and a balcony (I'm on the 3rd floor). I have no complaints and am looking forward to a good life at RRR. "

"We like that it is set up kind of like a resort. It's very open and has friendly people. It doesn't feel like the kind of place that my mom wouldn't like. It looked like the people living there were very active. Even their memory care seemed to have a lot of programs. I think that it's a place that my family will like going to see my mother. The accommodations, the room, and everything looked really good. The staff is professional and friendly too. I tried the food on the day we went to tour it and it was good."

"My visit to Berkshire was excellent. They took me to the room and personally guided me through everything. They talked to me and opened it up for questions, and they were very professional. The rooms were very nice and adequate for what the need is. They had dinners, and they had parties outside. It was some kind of celebration going on, and it looks like they did it quite nicely. It is all great. "

"We really liked The Springs of Napa. We thought it was great. They have a lot of activities. We're just not sure if that would be a good fit because of her dementia; otherwise, we really like it. I thought every staff member was extremely helpful. It was very clean, and it seemed to be true to what they explained. We got a tour and we got to see the rooms, and I thought it was great. The staff was very helpful. They followed up with us. Everything was clean and nicely laid out the way they have it."

"My sister needed to come out to west coast to be near family as she was getting up in age. I was told of Cogir Vallejo Hills by a longtime friend whose mother lived there . My sister has been here a while and loves it. The residents are so friendly and we often say most could teach young people about their great outlook on life. The staff are highly motivated and seem to enjoy their jobs."

"Our father has been a resident at Healdsburg Senior Living for a couple years now. The staff are delightful, professional, and very attentive to the needs of residents. The outdoor farm animals and garden are a real bonus - both for interaction with the natural world, as well as the fresh produce and eggs brought to the dining room. The meals are well prepared and varied. Dad is very comfortable with this as his home. Along with his family and friends, life at HSL is what brings him joy."

"My overall tour experience with Springfield Place was very nice. They were very cordial. We had lunch, and we looked at an apartment, and it was very impressive. The layouts were quite nice. The surroundings were quite nice. The ambiance was good. I think they have 24-hour assisted gyms, community activities, and outside activities. They're very good. Everything is very good. The main attraction there was their restaurant. They have a very nice restaurant, but it was way too much for us. It was gourmet. The staff were nice. We were escorted by a salesperson, and they were always good. We had lunch there and it was very good. It was excellent, but way too much for us. They had like a three- or four-course lunch, and normally we eat a sandwich or a soup for lunch. They had dinner five-course meals, and normally we would have one plate. Breakfast was full service of sausage and eggs, and we normally eat a bowl of cereals, so it was not us. Some people would like that though. "

"Valley Orchards was very home-like and immaculately clean. The apartments were acceptable except that no pets were allowed. The other problem was the dining room. If you use a walker, they would take your walker from you. There's no assigned table, but you had to go through an open line for salad, soup, and beverage before you go to a table and for someone who has a walker, it's very difficult to do that. Once you're seated, someone will come over to you and ask which entree you want. The entree was very good, but the convenience was lacking. Parking was excellent. They had an open area and two types of units: the end ones and the inside ones. The end units were very good and had patios and/or outdoor area. It's a very nice place, and I would recommend it to anyone who didn't have a pet."

"Sonoma Hills Retirement is a clean, nice, and well-run facility, and I’ve had a relative there for about 4 years. They have good meals and good supervision, so it’s a nice facility. The staff seem very polite, caring, and quite thorough in their jobs. It’s independent living, people have their own apartments, and they can dine in the dining hall or they can cook for themselves. "

"After bi-lateral total knee replacement, moved to Spring Lake Village on Montgomery Drive for a few days of Physical and occupational therapy. Doing GREAT and I am local celebrity since none of the staff or others have ever dealt with a double at the same time. Cell phones DO NOT work there for some reason, but can take calls on the house phone. We are extremely pleased with the facility and very happy we chose this place. It is bright, cheerful, clean and friendly. All the staff is very attentive, pleasant, responsive and helpful. Food is excellent . "

"I recently toured Friends House. I like their proximity to walking paths, their shuttle service to medical appointments, airport, etc, their friendly staff and park-like setting. It is very comforting to me that their buy-in is pro-rated for a refund should I want or need to move within the first years, but it is particularly comforting that their policy for charging for assisted living costs is done in 15-minute increments rather than the more common 4-hour increments. I have no idea what services , nor when, nor how long I will need assistance, but I feel much relieved having paid their modest reservation fee."
