"Healdsburg was great. I liked the fact that the people were honest. I also liked the cleanliness of the facility, the attention that was given to the residents, and that the people are caring and compassionate. The food is great. They also have a garden where they incorporate some it into their food program. They have chickens and goats so that my husband can look out the window and see the animals (which is wonderful because we're from a farm here)."

"The staff were fantastic during my visit. They invited mom, and I for lunch together with the residents. Mom really enjoyed it. They were very positive, and they welcomed her. That made her very happy. You can bring in your own furniture into your room. I know one lady brought her own piano because it meant so much to her. For me, that was really great. The entire facility was very well done. In fact, all residents seemed to be very happy. "

"My parents lived at Brookside from 2008 to 2010 and were very happy there. The one bedrooms are very large and open out onto a patio. The studios with an alcove are spacious enough and ours opened out onto a balcony that overlooked the creek. The price is very reasonable and the food very good. My parents lived in another place for two times the amount, which looked pretty and was spacious, but the food was not good and the rooms were actually much smaller. They were happy at Brookside and left to come live with me so that I could take care of them until they each passed. Many homes have a high staff turn over, and at Brookside the primary staff has been there for many years, which provides stability. The entertainment provided was excellent and there were several activities in which the residents could partake. They also had a cocktail hour every evening which was very well attended. "The Community here at Rancho de Calistoga is much like most with a very diverse group of people living in a neighborhood. Some are very active in the community and others keep to themselves or participate as much as they want to or not. There is a beautiful "Green" Recreation building with library, game room, large meeting/dinning room with modern kitchen for large gatherings. The pool and hot tub patio are very nice with a BBQ area as well. The exercise room has modern equipment and is available to all residents who choose to use it. There are independent groups created by residents that offer a multitude of activities. Also the local community offerings in the area are vast with cultural opportunities as well as wellness and lifestyle education. To top it off, it is located at the north end of the beautiful Napa Valley. With easy walking or golf cart ride to the historic downtown where restaurants, shopping and additional community activities are available such as those offered at the community art center as well as it is a great place to live. In short it is Rancho de Calistoga is quiet, clean and friendly with a moderate climate; a perfect place to live! "
