"Oakmont Gardens was where I would prefer to go. It had everything that I would want. I was impressed with the lady who took us around to look at things and the apartment, too. Pretty much everything I felt suited my needs. I was impressed. "

"The people at Clearwater at Sonoma Hills are super nice, very helpful, and very friendly. It was clean and well-maintained. There are lots of activities and programs, and I like that it's available. Proximity to us was a big deal, so that was good. It was very, very similar to other places that we looked at, and we checked all the boxes. As you move out further from San Francisco, the price gets more reasonable, and this was just really reasonably priced. They have all sorts of stuff. They have a movie room and have regular programs, and they're showing movies and TV shows, but they also do educational talks and they have exercises. They have a little dog park, which is very small, but it'll be perfect for his little dog because he's got a very tiny little chihuahua. So they have a little dog park there that he can easily access, so that's nice. They have a poker room, and we're hoping that maybe once he gets in there and meets some people, maybe he can get a game going, and that would be good for him. Everybody was very friendly and very helpful. We had lunch there and I thought it was very good."

"Brookdale Windsor was a very nice facility that was well kept. They have nice outdoor facilities for the residents. The staff seems to be very friendly. I didn't see any negatives. We had lunch there, and what we had was very good. They had lunch and dinner specials every day. They seem to be pretty on top of everything."

"I toured Windsong of Sonoma. It was very nicely appointed. It was newly upgraded and it seemed like a very nice community. The people that I saw there were friendly. The rooms are quite spacious. They were newly painted and newly carpeted, and they looked very clean and nice, and very comfortable. During the tour, the staff were very nice and personable. The manager that we spoke to was very knowledgeable and had some good suggestions, and it seemed like the few that we were introduced to knew what they were doing. I liked the fact that they were all in the same type of uniforms and that sort of thing. It was very good."

"It is very pretty, the staff is very helpful, and the food is great. I really love my apartment, and they have a lot of activities and lectures for the residents. They have a lawn with nice landscaping and assigned parking with signs as well."

"It was very nice. It was very well laid out, very clean, modern, and well-kept. Their menu looked like it had a very good assortment of food. I was there at lunchtime and saw other residents eating, and the food was very appetizing. They have several activity rooms that were well maintained and set up for things for people to do. The apartments were also well-kept, well maintained with a nice assortment of floor plans. Everything was what I expected. So, it was a pleasant experience. Omar was fantastic. He took me around and showed me everything. He was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, polite, and patient."

"My Mother lives in Healdsburg and loves it. She especially enjoys the ever changing gardens and the farm animals outside her windows. The staff is very helpful in getting her out to visit the animals and see all the flowers.The staff is extra loving, especially during this crisis. I feel she is in excellent care."

"Diana was the one we worked with us here and she was phenomenal and so helpful. She gave great insights on how to help mom in the best way. Their amenities were outstanding. They had two 5-star restaurants and then another nice restaurant. They had snacks out that people could come and get at any time. So it wasn't just three routine meals. They were open all the time with snacks and if you wanted something extra, you could get it. You could either have the food taken to your room, like room service, or you could go to the restaurant. They had a happy hour in their general area so it was just phenomenal. It was luxury resort living. Diana showed us two studios and a one-bedroom. The studios were very nice with had very different layouts that would work well for anybody. On the first one that we walked down, I noticed that the kitchenette was a little bit further from the bedroom and the living area, which in our instance was a little bit of a walk, but for a regular person, it was just right there. The next studio was more of an all-inclusive. It was very clean. They had one that looked onto the courtyard in the center with all of its fountains and flowers, while the other one was secluded, like a parking lot kind of view that looked over the tennis courts and things like that. The one-bedroom was very spacious and very nice. They had very short hallways, so there was not a ton of walking and it's soundproof. You could be in the hallway and not hear any of the other residents' televisions or anything. It was well done."

"Piner's Guest Home was very homey. They had a couple of kitty cats that were kind of their facility's pets and then the owner has a dog that comes in as well. My sister called the place cluttered, but to me, it felt homey. There were books out and it felt like visiting your grandma's house. It was very nice. They had a one-bedroom and a studio. The studio was a very nice room and very comfortable. Not only did they have a hair and nail salon where they could get their hair or nails done once a week, but they also had activities like flower arranging, making art pieces, music, VR headsets to play games, and movies."

"So far, we really like Atria Tamalpais Creek. They have good food, and they have two different food areas, which my mother enjoys. She has a little private room with a kitchenette and a big bathroom, and it's a nice area. They show really good movies in big movie screens -- which are almost the size of a theater screen -- so it's huge, and my mother likes that. They also play penny cards and bingo and lots of different activities, and they go out on Wednesdays and Sundays. The surroundings are beautiful, it's very green, there are lots of trees, and it is always clean. "

"The tour was very good. It was very clean, they were very helpful, the place was nice, and right away, I felt comfortable. The staff that gave the tour was accommodating, very nice, very friendly, and polite."

"The Oakmont of Novato was lovely. We had an excellent tour, and the woman who gave me the tour was extremely professional and extremely knowledgeable about the care that they provided. Even though I only toured that one facility, that would be the facility where I would want my mom to go. The facility is just brand new. Everything is clean and tidy, and the menu for the food is top notch. All of the employees I came in contact with were very friendly. I was impressed. The rooms were almost at capacity. They offer shared rooms and solo rooms, but they only had one shared room left, which was not going to work for my mom at that time. They were like studios, but they don't have kitchens in them. They also have a music room with a guitar and a piano in it, and an aviary with birds, which was fantastic. The birds help those residents with dementia and anxiety. They had a bar where guests could meet with their family, and with real alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They had two restaurants and some gardening activities. It was really impressive."
