"Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill is very nice, very friendly, and comfortable. I have a positive feeling about the place. The staff is very friendly and very informative. They gave me a lot of information. I asked about something legal, and they gave me information about elderly law and which office to go to seek any help. They gave me lots of help beyond the assisted living community letting me know where I can access different information. They showed me around the area. It looked like a very vibrant community. I saw them interact with the people living there, which was very nice."

"I visited. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were very nice. There was a very nice atmosphere. We did look at the rooms and the common rooms, and they seemed quite good. The dining room looked very nice. What we like about the place was that it was stair-steps, and if you needed more care, it was available there. They had Alzheimer's care. What we were impressed with was that they had a lot of information about expediting their old people getting in there. My father was a Veteran, and they had some information on that. They were just very forthcoming with the information. We would have him go there because it looked like a really nice spot for him, and it looked like something that would fit his needs. Security seemed adequate. "

"My husband has moved into Rose Cottage. They're very responsive to my needs. They take good care of my husband, and he seems to be doing well there. They keep up with everything. They make sure he has what he needs, medication-wise and food-wise. The least I like is the type of food. One reason why we chose it was the price. The staff was very friendly. They listen to what I say. They communicate with me if he needs something. The rooms are fine and meet our needs. He eats in his room, but they have a table if people want to eat out there in the dining area. He can get up, but they have to use a Hoyer lift, so they have that. They're very nice people. It's not the fanciest place, but it has a homey atmosphere. I'm happy there."

"La Orinda Care Home was a little dated; it needed some remodeling. But the staff there was very, very caring. I've watched some interactions between the staff and some of the residents there, and they were just very caring. There was somebody there visiting, and the staff was just amazing."
