I visited this facility

I toured Holiday Springs of Napa. The staff who gave the tour was a little bit more knowledgeable than the other staff. The rooms were similar to the other place. Overall, there was nothing outstanding about them. They made several efforts to recontact me and get me more information, so they tried.

Nice rooms. Kitchens come with a stove. Pet allowed. Assisted living is provided by 3rd party at an additional cost. The food menu looked awesome, but I was disappointed with the meal served to me. The staff were fantastic and friendly. It's not a bad place to move into, it just didn't have everything I was looking for.

My mom will move into the Holiday Springs of Napa. It's clean. They're very friendly. They have additional services available if needed. And she's able to afford the rent. The apartments were very clean and elderly friendly, and had lots of grab bars. The rent includes all their meals and an alert button. It has a full kitchen if she wants to cook, and it has a patio. She will get a one-bedroom apartment. They have live entertainment once a week, games, outings, and they have a buddy system for when you first move in. They assign somebody that lives close to you to help you find the dining room. They have a library and a beauty salon.

My aunt will be moving to The Springs of Napa on the 24th. The staff was very welcoming when I went there. The place is independent, but they also have caregivers onsite. It's the only reason we could move her there. The clients there seemed happy, and the place was very spacious. There's a lot of light there too; it was not dark. They have bingo, card games, and walking groups. They also have a shuttle for shopping, book clubs, and a library for book discussions.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm staying at The Springs of Napa. They don't have assisted living here. It's just an independent retirement community. At the time, I needed to leave the place I was in because I couldn't take it anymore there. When I started advertising, The Springs contacted me and because I don't drive, they sent a car for me and I was able to see this place. I had lunch in the nice dining room downstairs and then they took me home. From there, I just went through the materials as I was trying to make up my mind between a couple of different places and I chose here. They have apartments here and they're great. I have a bedroom, a living room, a little dining area, a full kitchen, and everything. It's roomy and very nice. I love it. We get a monthly sheet of the activities for each day. They have bingo, which I don't attend because I don't care for bingo. Sometimes they'll have special dancing in the activity room downstairs. Once a week, they have some live music in the activity room and at that same time, every Thursday with the music they serve wine and beer or coffee and soda. That's from 4-5 every Thursday, sometimes they last up to 6. For the people that want to eat in the dining room, it's right there too. I don't do that either because a lot of times I cook my own food and I'm a very picky eater. Occasionally, I'll look at the menu and see something that might be good for me so I'll call and they will deliver it if I ask them to. The food is delicious. It's very, very good and they have a wonderful chef. I had pot roast yesterday and literally, I thought I cooked it. It was very well seasoned with the garlic and the onion and some other seasonings. The gravy was very good with the mashed potatoes. I love the cooked carrots with peas too. There's always a dessert of some kind from pie and cake to ice cream. The staff is wonderful. They're not allowed to do certain things, they can't put a hand on us, but they can respond to a phone call. They gave us this little thing you wear on your neck and it's a little box that says, "I've fallen and I can't get up" and somebody will come on and say, "Do you need help?" and you either say yes or no. I've never had to use it but I have a neighbor who used it, and she says they were there, Johnny on the spot. They responded very, very rapidly. I think I'm getting more than my money's worth. It is very nice and they will try to help you with anything and everything within their power. There are laws saying certain things, so naturally, they have to abide by all these laws. For the apartments, they have 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and a very roomy studio. My friend down the hall is in a studio and I went there and was like, "Wow, this is huge".

I am at The Springs of Napa. It's very good. I like the caregiver; he's very good. There's a garden and there are balconies. I don't see the staff very much because this is an independent living, but they're mostly pretty nice. However, they don't always come when they say they're going to come. I've been here four and a half to five weeks, and the housekeeper has come by and will say, I'll be there tomorrow or something, but she never shows. I have not participated in many activities yet and I just went to happy hour once.

We really liked The Springs of Napa. We thought it was great. They have a lot of activities. We're just not sure if that would be a good fit because of her dementia; otherwise, we really like it. I thought every staff member was extremely helpful. It was very clean, and it seemed to be true to what they explained. We got a tour and we got to see the rooms, and I thought it was great. The staff was very helpful. They followed up with us. Everything was clean and nicely laid out the way they have it.

I looked at The Springs of Napa a couple of years ago for my grandmother. It didn't have very good views, and the kitchens were outdated. It seemed homey, but the residents there were older. There was no pool. There may have been a patio, but I didn't see it.

The Springs of Napa looked really nice. I like it. They're really taking precautions and everybody looked really happy and the grounds were beautiful. They do all the meals, snacks, housekeeping and linens, they have activities and transportation. The staff member that I met was very nice and very helpful. It looked a little older in some spots, but the grounds looked very nice and up-to-date. The actual apartments looked a little older. They still had carpets in the rooms where some of the other, newer facilities have flooring down and are a little more open concept. It's well kept up though.

The Springs of Napa was a little older and not thatopen. It seemed like everybody was pretty close in the community. We got to speak to some of the residents, and they were very accommodating and very friendly. The staff, who gave us the tour, was pretty good.

The Springs had fairly well-appointed rooms with a large kitchenette, although I didn’t think it was up to date. Compared to other places, they had a more attractive common area and dining facility, a more comprehensive library, a more complete dining service and game rooms, and more activities on-site that brought people together.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My aunt is in The Springs of Napa. It is a very nice place, and the managers are nice. The other ladies that live there seem to enjoy it too. It is expensive; I know most of the places are, but I will recommend it as long as they can afford it. The rooms are tiny, but they are perfect for one person. They have a household cleaning staff that helps the residents there. They place always looks clean. They have movies and games, and they go on outings or go out as group.

We went to The Springs of Napa, and it was very nice. Their room had a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator and stove. It was a little bit more expensive per month. The staff was very good, very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. Their dining room was very nice, and their chairs were a little bigger. They had the same type of activities like the facility where mom was had. The environment was very nice. It was in the top 2 that we looked at in Napa.

I liked that the residents in The Springs of Napa seemed to be in a good mood. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable and caring. The place seemed very nice and well cared for. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. We had a meal there, and the food was pretty good. It seemed pleasant and cheerful. It looked like a country club. The neighborhood was fairly quiet, and there was not much traffic. It was a nice neighborhood.

It's probably one of the best places around and certainly in Napa where my sister lived. It's a mixture of things. They started out totally independent, then they started allowing walkers, and then they started allowing people to have their helpers. It almost looks like an assisted living place in some ways. They have a really great kitchen. They have good staff, great meals, and good relations among the people. They play a lot of card games and other activities. Some people are free to come and go if they have a car. She has been here about a year now, and she has made friends. It's just pretty expensive. They are very caring and helpful. People on the whole are pretty happy there. She has her own apartment, and she can get along now with help several times a day, but the problem is that since there is a dining room and because it's independent, they do not bring food to the rooms. If you want your food to be brought to you, you have to hire somebody to do it, and that gets quite expensive. They'll do it for a few days if you're sick, but they don't want to keep doing it. She's getting along OK, but she really can't get down to see her friends right now until she improves in the next few weeks. The problem with COPD -- you're up one week and down the next, and that is very changeable. But I really recommend The Springs of Napa. If I were going to a place, that's where I would go.

I visited The Springs of Napa. My experience was positive and good. The gentleman that saw me was very cordial and nice. He showed me the whole place. I had lunch there, and the food was very good. I thought the place was set up positively. I saw the different living quarters or the different apartments they had. I saw the gym room. They had activities. They go on outings, they also have card games and whatever the residents are interested in. The apartments looked nice. There was one that needed quite a bit of work, but they said that the former resident in there left it that way, so they were in the process of redoing the apartment.

The Springs at Napa is rather elegant. The rooms are sufficient. It is all on one level so you don't have the elevator problem. It is a much smaller facility. They do accommodate blind people as well. My friend is blind, and she pays her own caretaker to come in and help her. The sanitation is excellent.

The Springs is independent, but they have people there who can do assisted parts. I'm very happy with everything other than that they're always changing managers, but other than that, the rooms are nice. The people are nice. I have no complaints with the staff whatsoever. They have a full kitchen, 1-bedroom/ 1-bathroom, nice-sized living room, balcony. They have all kinds of stuff: excursions, bus, games, movies, library, everything.

The Springs of Napa is a good facility. The staff were nice, but I had the feeling that the residents were a little more elderly. We were invited for some musical thing, and nobody really participate, and that fell short. I just didn't get the feeling that I exactly fit in there.
