"AI took us on a tour with my mother-in-law and husband. Very nicely decorated, clean freshly remodeled rooms. We looked at both 1 and 2 BR apartments. The room chosen has a nice balcony with courtyard views. The food was delicious ordering off the menu. The Dining room staff were very friendly and considerate to my MIL requests for dietary restrictions. We could see they were interacting with other residents the same way. They offered extra help with move in needs. AJ was very helpful with the admission process and is great with follow up with any need or request we have. Thank you AJ."

"Brookdale Windsor was clean and everybody seemed pretty nice. They were very helpful in trying to do whatever they needed to do to help me encourage my mom to come there with advice. Their menu seemed like it had lots of choices. You could either have the main dinner or if you didn't care for what was for the main dinner, there were several other choices."

"I will move into Cogir of Sonoma Senior Living. There was a wide-open common room, and some women were playing a card game, but for the most part, there was nobody in there, and that was fine because they were mostly out doing stuff, so that was one of the things that impressed me, that people were still very active. The common area was very nicely appointed and looked very comfortable. It would be a place where I would want to bring people or go in and sit by myself and relax. I went to a couple of places, and you were only allowed to put something on your door, like a wreath. I noticed that at Cogir of Sonoma, there are entry decorations on the floor, which is fine, going in the entry, and going towards your door. Somebody put out one of those butler statues and that kind of thing, and I like that. There's a little bit of flexibility. We were not there during the regular lunchtime serving time. So, it was around two o'clock, and the food was delicious. It was very good. Everybody around my table, kids and adults, ate it right up. The staff was over the top. She was good."

"Healdsburg was great. I liked the fact that the people were honest. I also liked the cleanliness of the facility, the attention that was given to the residents, and that the people are caring and compassionate. The food is great. They also have a garden where they incorporate some it into their food program. They have chickens and goats so that my husband can look out the window and see the animals (which is wonderful because we're from a farm here)."

"Piners Guest Home is amazing. The staff are very caring, and personable. The facility is immaculate. My Mother has been there three years now, and I could not sing their praises enough. They care deeply about the well being and comfort of all the residents and my mother is so happy there "

"I went to The Inn on Villa Lane. They showed us some of the model apartments. I'm going to bring my friend for lunch next week. Then she can see what the food is like because that's one of her main criteria. I thought it was very nice. The staffing was good, and the services they offer were excellent. They take care of their meds and laundry. They have an alert system. If she falls or if she needs anything, she has a button that she can press to get help, even if it's just to walk down to the dining room. I think that's really important. There are staff there 24/7. It's easy to get around. My friend has a walker, so that's something that we always look for to make sure that the accessibility is good and the in and out is good. They have nice landscaping. There are areas outside that she could sit and enjoy the sunshine in the summer. The dining room is very pleasant and nicely laid out. I just thought it was really good. The menu looked really nice. There are a lot of choices, which I think is really important. I was really impressed. They seemed to be really prepared for the things that she's gonna need. It seemed really well thought out. The staff that is there have been there for a long time. They get a lot of training. They seemed very knowledgeable, which is important. They don't just hire people off the street. I thought it was really good. I hope that my friend does, too. The staff was very friendly and very willing to answer questions. They know what they're doing. They don't seem to have a lot of turnover. It tells you something important about the facility that the staff is maintained over a period of time. It was nice, clean, and bright. The hallways and everything is accessible. Everything is designed for seniors that need assistance. There were handrails, elevators, and all those kinds of things. It's quite a bit more expensive."

"My visit to Berkshire was excellent. They took me to the room and personally guided me through everything. They talked to me and opened it up for questions, and they were very professional. The rooms were very nice and adequate for what the need is. They had dinners, and they had parties outside. It was some kind of celebration going on, and it looks like they did it quite nicely. "We love The Canterbury Home. The staff is very friendly, and warm, and truly cares about their residents. The home is clean and warm. Mom is there and I feel like she is very safe there. They got private rooms. They do some chair yoga, they have some musicians come in, play bingo, and have some pets come by."

"This is an assisted living facility in the heart of Santa Rosa, in an older Victorian neighborhood filled with pleasant, upscale, well tended homes. The facility itself is a Victorian home that was recently remodeled. It's really beautiful--a large home with communal space--and it has a very homey feel to it. The 8 rooms are huge, all doubles. Residents can bring their own furnishings, or the owner will provide furnishings. The grounds are nicely landscaped, with a communal terraced area and an outdoor room with all glass walls. Most of the residents are fairly high functioning; there's no memory care. I know the owner, and she's very dedicated. Her philosophy is to find homes in nice neighborhoods and convert them to assisted living. She hires CNAs--many have personal experience as family caregivers--and also has a nurse on duty 24 hours. The food is excellent. They have a licensed chef to cooks for all three of the facilities owed by Loving Care Homes. They don't offer much selection, but the food is good. The food is cooked at this home in a nice, large kitchen (that's also used for some cooking activities) and then catered to the other two homes--Elfa's Home and Victoria's Place. They offer daily light activities: exercise, field trips to the mall or movies or similar outings, and arts and crafts. "
