The facility was old and hadn't been updated. The food wasn't very good. There was a van that came and picked them up and took them to the grocery store or to the drugstore. The rooms were OK. "

"Santa Rosa Convalescent seemed very friendly and inviting. It was an older and simpler place. The mother of my son-in-law was just placed there. She was very welcomed. They were joking with her, and she liked the people there."

"In general I felt the staff treated my grandmother well. The location was quite scenic with a view of the surrounding valley as it was located on a hilltop. In particular I recall the beautiful rose bushes located in the rear courtyard. Fircrest was always clean and I never once felt my grandmother was neglected there. "

"Very clean and well kept facility; defies the stigma surrounding most nursing homes. I had a family member stay in this facility for convalescence following a hip replacement. The staff were all friendly and competent and the physicians were top notch. Another thing that amazed me about this facility was the high quality of food that was served. They have Starbucks Coffee! The therapy team was excellent and pushes people to their limit in order to get them well. The only complaint I have was that there were a few staff members speaking Spanish in front of the patients... kind of rude if you ask me. There was adequate space for visitation and a very engaging activity program. Each bed was also equipped with its own telephone and flat screen TV (electric beds too). "

"Golden Living Center seems to be an OK nursing home. It's clean enough. From the little interaction I had with the staff, they seemed OK. It looks like they have a pretty full schedule of activities. When I was there, they were handing activity sheets out. "

"The people at Park View Garden at Montgomery were wonderful and very caring. The nurses were great. You go in there and feel like your loved one is being taken care of. They had different rooms for the folks to watch movies and music. They’re on top of the cleanliness, which I liked very much. "

"Spring Lake Village is a beautiful facility. The residents there seemed happy. My friends that went there for rehab also were all very satisfied with the facility. Their eating area and everything is very nice. They also have good facilities for exercise. They have a garden area where the residents can garden. "

"It was a good, reliable place for my father to rest. It was a small and the care was great. It was a house, with a caregiver for the rest home residents. Every person had their meals made, beds made, and any needs taken care of. This facility is unusual in that it operates in a neighborhood, but I think that is for the best. The only problem I had was that there was a lack of staff. There is no noise from traffic and its location in in a nice, peaceful place. I would recommend this rest home to anyone. On the several occasions that I went to the Monte Verde Rest Home I had a great experience seeing my father. "

"My meeting and tour with Korina at Friends House was extremely informative and helpful, and I would highly recommend getting this in-person look. Korina is also very accessible for any follow-up questions you may have. An old co-worker of mine has already moved to Friends House, and is extremely happy living in the Friends House community."

"I was a patient for over a month (most stays are much shorter) so I really got to know the place inside and out. Conscientious nurses and aides, an excellent skilled rehabilitation department, and facility doctors who very skilled doctors and empathic people. Lots of other pluses like monthly podiatrist ( if needed) and a beauty salon. I would not hesitate to send a family member there. They are good folk and would not hesitate to put a family member there. They will be in good hands. "

"Pine Ridge Care Center is a nice place, but my client didn't do good there. The people at the front desk were helpful. They have physical therapy that she went to several times a week. Almost everyone there was on MediCare and that was very great because the cost was taken care of. They're very professional in many ways, and for a nursing home, it was quite good."
