Apple Valley Post-Acute Rehab was horrible. My father was there for a short time, and I had an aunt and an uncle stay there also. The place wasn't kept up well. It was kind of dirty, and the staff didn't seem too concerned with their patients' needs. The patients always had to wait a very long time before a nurse would answer their call. I didn't feel that the staff was adequate.

I had to give them one star, but I really can't give them any stars because they refused to give my 85 year old mother with Dementia rehab because they would have to evaluate her and possibly have to offer her long term care. The intake person, Anita, is very rude.

My dad is in a nursing home called Apple Valley. The staff seems to take care of my dad. We got to know them quite well. He has been there since August. The room that they have is not a place that I really like them to live. It is just a room with a curtain. Usually it's just two of them in there, but when it's three of them, it gets awfully crowded. My dad says he likes the food. He says it is good. It seems like they have two dining areas. I don't know how they separate them because there are so many. As far as I know, they are both nice. They seem to have activities all the time. They play music, but as far as the games stuff, that is not for my dad. Sometimes I hear them play music and doing things in there. The security seems OK but it is kind of annoying because every time someone goes out, the little beepers on their chair goes off.

My mother was in Apple Valley. They really did a good job with her rehab and making her strong enough to stand, walk, and go around. She enjoyed the food and the people there. She didn't have a problem with the nursing staff. In fact, I thought she might have had some more surgery, and she's planning and hoping to go back there again. I would recommend them.

Very clean and well kept facility; defies the stigma surrounding most nursing homes. I had a family member stay in this facility for convalescence following a hip replacement. The staff were all friendly and competent and the physicians were top notch. Another thing that amazed me about this facility was the high quality of food that was served. They have Starbucks Coffee! The therapy team was excellent and pushes people to their limit in order to get them well. The only complaint I have was that there were a few staff members speaking Spanish in front of the patients... kind of rude if you ask me. There was adequate space for visitation and a very engaging activity program. Each bed was also equipped with its own telephone and flat screen TV (electric beds too).
