"My dad recently spent 3 weeks at Mills-Peninsula Skilled Nursing. Conveniently located right next to Mills Peninsula Hospital, it's an older facility but it seems clean and well-maintained. I thought the nurses were exceptionally good. They were pleasant and helpful, no matter how difficult my dad sometimes was. My dad always seemed to get a lot of attention from them, and they even provided sitters for him when he had bouts of delirium or restless nights. We were less impressed with the doctors who, although very experienced and well-qualified, seemed to be pretty set in their approach and we had to push for them to consider other options. I liked how they assigned a case worker who met with all the doctors periodically to assess my dad's condition and recommend a future course of treatment for him. But my dad did complain a lot about the food - typical boring hospital food, he said. Overall, I was pretty happy with the care my dad received at Mills-Peninsula Skilled Nursing. "

"Brookside Skilled Nursing Hospital was very welcoming. They didn't tell me I wasn't old enough and let me stay there for eight days. It's very nice, clean, and doesn’t smell. It's very appropriate and nurses are friendly. The environment was good. They had computers, a library, and a piano. It looked like they had everything to keep your mind occupied."

"My wife was in Linda Mar Rehabilitation for 2 weeks. The one I liked best was the location. The staff are very young and very happy. My wife liked the food. They have a gym, and the place is clean. It's a good place."

"They have good daily activities like entertainment and crafts at Seton. The staff is friendly and busy. They get to know everybody there because they consider everybody a resident. My mom shares a room with other people. The room is like that of a hospital room, but nicer. The facility makes a good effort at making the food nutritious. For thanksgiving, they had roasted turkey, cranberry, and all the fixings for everybody. I would recommend this facility to others. I think it would be helpful if every resident gets iron-on or sewn-on tags. That would be really cool. "

"My aunt is recovering from an operation at this facility and I visited her recently. She had very good things to say about her stay. There is plenty of staff, so help is available when needed, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. And she praised the cleaning crew in particular, who she says are meticulous. The facility does seem clean and well maintained, though a bit old. It is conveniently located very near Seton Hospital. My aunt reports that the food is good, but not great. About the only negative I noted is that the facility is a bit noisy. The tile floors carry a lot of sound, and the public address system is loud and used frequently. But all in all, a pretty good place. "

"The Jewish Home of San Fransisco is not the best, but its some where at the top. First of all, The location is fantastic. There is a Market 2 blocks away from it, so I can stop by and get dinner when i'm visiting my elders. I've been told that the food there is Delicious, and they have special menus for when its a holiday or somebody's birthday. The fact that I love the most,This being a Jewish center, is that they have a Rabbi! I don't see many Nursing homes with Rabbis. The activities there are okay, but they do have a very large selection. Also, an added plus is that when you walk in the home, It doesn't smell like a nursing home! Overall, this is a pretty good home. The food is great, not like the mush they call oatmeal at other homes, the activities are good, and the staff treats you like family! "

"I visited facility several times. Staff immediately approached me smiling and offered help. Facility is very clean and patients look very happy. I asked one of the patient if she likes the place and she replied it's the best nursing home in the area. I was convinced after I was given a tour of the facility, that place is very well managed, owners care about their residents and employees. "

"Mission Bay Convalescent Hospital is surrounded by wonderful hospitals like UCSF, Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health. You do not need to worry if the patient needs immediate medical attention. I rated this 5 stars not only because of it's location but also because of it's amazing services and caring staffs. "

"I had volunteered at Laguna Honda about 5 years ago before their renovations, and recently visited to see the new building. My impression of the new Laguna Honda is unreservedly positive. For one thing, the building is full of enthusiastic and kind volunteers, facilitated by a new and much more helpful volunteering system online that makes it easy to search for opportunities. The new facilities are state of the art, much nicer than any facility I have ever visited family members in, and everything is new and sparkling clean. The patients have a lot more privacy than I have seen in comparable facilities, and in addition to traditional patient care areas there is a lot of space for art therapy, activities, etc. "
