I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband Arturo B. was a patient at this facility for three weeks. The care and dedication on behalf of the staff , therapists and Dr. Murphy was beyond anything we expected. I would definitely recommend this facility.

I visited this facility

A member of family was there for broken pelvic. Everything was very well except food. Menu did not seem healthy. Serving eggs frequently; morning scramble eggs for breakfast and for dinner chef salad with boiled eggs. There was not enough vegetables either cooked or raw as salad on the plate. It's much healthier that Patients have more vegi as well as fresh fruits with their diets. Also, it's good to include soups with vegi and beans with piece of good bread for lunch or dinner. The rooms were crowded. some of patients did have many visitors; the noise and space not tolerable for other patients in the room.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My client is in Pacifica Nursing & Rehab Center. They have a lot of sick people in their hands, and it seems like they're really busy. He's been in a single room, double room, and triple room, and I think the double room is the maximum that can work because when there's two other people in the room, and there's no way to get any rest. I would say it’s clean, but I wouldn't say it's spacious. He said the food is very good. They have a recreation room and lots of things to do posted on the elevator. There's plenty of activities.

Everything at Pacifica was excellent. I couldn’t ask for anything better. They had activities, but my mother was in hospice, so she didn’t get to any. They just got her up and took her to the table to eat with the rest of the ladies. The staff was very good. Each wing had their own dining room.

I chose Pacifica for my grandmother because the other ones I looked were nasty. She fell and broke her leg. Everything is perfect there. The people working there are wonderful. The place is very clean and there is no smell. They have everything. I loved it there.

I visited this facility

Now that I'm looking into places for my aging father, I did notice this chance to at the least offer others my personal experience. Back in '05 when my father was recommended by his doctor @ Kaiser SSF to stay here until his amputated left could heal with that vac machine on it. Well, there is a sound that machine gives off that indicates for someone to turn it off when there's an issue, like if it pumps the bacteria is sucks from a wound back into it, which is what happened to my father causing gang-green. There were workers present, but it seems as if none of them even knew their job when checking in, as I was told they did often. I believe some are not qualified to take care of patients & just received the job through a friend. Most around looked like that. Anyways, for it not for a late evening doctor making her rounds & checking in on my father and noticing the machine & his entire complexion like a ghost he would have died. They then rushed him into a surgery that wasn't needed. At first the vac machine was to heal only his pinky toe that was amputated, now they had to cut all of his toes. I guess at the least he got to keep his heel.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother was a resident twice at this facility for rehabilitation after her two hip surgeries. She is 85 years old so, of course, we were very concerned about her welfare, especially since the surgeries were only 6 months apart. Each time she stayed at this facility approximately 3 weeks to regain the strength in her legs. I cannot compliment the staff enough for doing all that they could to help her recuperate and become independent again. They were attentive to her needs regarding medication issues, infection protocols and diet preferences. The physical therapists were extraordinary and diligent about getting my mother to exercise and she continues today to use the plan that they provided. All of the staff were caring and well organized. The facility is very clean and the activities were varied and plentiful. We were at ease during her stay which says a lot about this facility! I would highly recommend this facility for your loved one.

I visited this facility

My grandmother's last days were spent in The Greenery in Pacifica, California. Initially, I was impressed with the cleanliness, smell and furnishings in the lobby and the first floor area. Also, across the street, a gazebo was available for outdoor visiting. I saw happy care providers that did not seem burdened with their duties, and seemed to greet passers by with regularity. I noticed a bingo game happening in a large parlor like area which was furnished with comfortable chairs and small sofas, the patients spread out sitting where THEY liked. Lots of windows brightened the room and the building was also well lit. The hallways were nice and wide for wheelchair patients, and the bathrooms were decent size and smelled fresh. My grandmother loved this facility, I believe, because of the many vantage points providing a glimpse of the ocean. All in all a great visit, I would recommend this facility to all of my friends if faced with a difficult choice regarding a parent.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandmother had a stroke and required to be in an assisted living facility. Here at Pacifica Nursing and Rehab Center they took great care of her. She was never left alone for long. The only thing she did not like while she was there was her constant change of roommates. There was a constant flow of people in and out and they could have organized rooming better to keep the long term tenants/patients together. They always had her day planed out for her and the food was decent. She did not like the rehab facility though and constantly complained that they did push her a little too far. She was eighty-eight years old and getting her back to walking was not our biggest concern. The emphasis the staff felt was what was addressed not what the family or doctors originally thought. This did cause for some concern since we did just want her to get better. They were very attentive to her needs and she was never left to have no bathroom time and she always was fed or given water when she needed. There was always an attendant there to make sure she did not have a problem. The staff was also very gracious with visiting hours. I would recommend this for a temporary assisted living facility.

My mother had just broken her hip and we didn't know where to bring her for her rehab. PNR exceeded our expectations with their kind and professional staff, their ability to provide the care needed, and the wonderful environment surrounding these services. Thanks to PNR, my mother successfully recuperated and is now enjoying an active life with her family and friends.

I looked at several facilities for my mom. The coordinator Beth was wonderful. Gave a complete tour of the facility. Rehabilitation center was wonderful. Staff is very friendly. By far this is the best facility in the area. I looked from Pacifica -
