"Belmont Village is brand new, so there were a lot of people during open house. It was kind of hectic and crazy, but my questions were answered. It's a bit pricey, but it looked beautiful. The rooms looked comfortable. The person who showed me around was informative. The dining area looked very nice."

"The people who are living at Redwood Retirement are very friendly, which is a nice thing. The staff has been very nice to keep in touch. I had a couple of meals there, and that was very well-prepared. The accommodations were nice too. They completely redo the rooms when someone new comes in, which is certainly a good thing. I was able to read the list of activities, and they seemed to have good activities. "

"I like where it's located. So I did looked at different places, but I'm not at the point where it would have to be a decision that is needed to be made right away. The only place that really matched for what I wanted was this facility. The staff is fine. I talked to them on the phone and they answered some of the questions I had. They also sent me the information I needed. I talked to a couple of people who know the place; it has a positive reputation. So based on that, I thought of all the places this is the one that I could see myself at. I think they're excellent, they have a lot of compassion, and there are more positive things than negative things compared to other continuing care retirement community. A lot of what I looked at was the location, reputation, and if I could see myself there. That's why I went to visit the place. "

"The Springs was very clean, and the people were nice. The dining area looked nice, and the rooms were very nice and spacious. They had a salon."

"Coterie Cathedral Hill was a beautiful facility. The people were very nice. The food was excellent. Everything was nice there, but it was just too expensive. The lady who gave me the tour was very nice. The whole place was immaculate. It was a brand-new facility. They had tons of activities going on. They had a theater and a heated pool. They had all kinds of amenities. There was valet parking."

"My sister and I moved our father into an Assisted Living apartment in Oakmont Gardens 2 weeks ago. At age 94, he needed routine assistance with every-day activities and care that we could not provide at home. Although we were very apprehensive about placing him in an assisted living environment, we knew that the time was right to do so. Much to our delight he really enjoys living there and has adapted to his new environment without any issues. The staff is kind, caring, and compassionate and does a great job attending to his needs. He especially enjoys the food and really likes the "steak and eggs at any time" option. I highly recommend Oakmont Gardens to anyone looking for a high quality assisted living facility in the Sonoma County area. "

"My experience at Lake Park Senior Living was great. Everything was great. However, I was looking for a facility that was based on my grandmother's income. It's a beautiful facility. I wish we could afford it, but we can't. The lady that gave me the tour was wonderful. She showed me all around. She was very informative. I appreciate it. I saw the menu, and it's a wonderful menu. They have a library, a painting room, and an exercise room. It was a wonderful place."

"It was very clean and new to me. It's a very nice place. The staff were very helpful. It looked like they were very knowledgeable and very friendly, too. The dining area is almost like a restaurant, and it's very formal to me. All of the staff were wearing masks. To me, it's a high-class range, more or less. It's very impressive. The rooms are pretty good size studios, and the bathrooms are equipped with safety devices and a hidden bar. I feel safe when I go in there. They showed me the amenities. At least whatever you need, they have it over there. They have the theater, the exercise room, the salon, and the laundry. I'm very happy with it as long as the staff keeps up with what they are doing. I met three people, and they were excellent, very helpful, and courteous."

"It's a nice place. I'd move there in a minute, but I can't afford it. It seemed very warm and inviting. The young lady who assisted us was very friendly, and very practiced in the art of making you feel welcome and showing us the various places and the opportunities, and the choices that we would have. They provide a pool table, and a viewing room with a TV. The dining area was very nice, and I met the chef. They have cottages scattered around the area, and it's very attractive."

"Right now, we're at The Kensington in Walnut Creek. We've been with them for eight months now. We're very happy with The Kensington. We like everything. The atmosphere is excellent. The staff is excellent. We have a nice room. Everything about it so far has been excellent. We have three meals a day served in the dining room. The food is good. They have a whole bunch of activities, and we take part in a few of them that we like. The people there are excellent. They really try to give a big selection of food, but I don't like everything that they serve us. It's an old place that was renovated, and it's very, very good. It's an excellent value for the money."

"I didn’t meet any of the residents at Carlton, but I found that the management people were quite friendly, they seemed to care about the patients, and that they are happy in what they are doing. It was clean and seemed to be close to the downtown area of Concord. For instance, if I want to go shopping, it's just a few blocks away with stores and restaurants, and there is a movie theater nearby. "

"Waters Edge Lodge is an older facility but still looks pretty well-maintained. The tour was informative. We got to see the rooms we were interested in. They gave us all the information that we needed. They have activities. The rooms were nice and clean. The vaulted ceiling made the room appear bigger, so that was helpful. The staff was friendly. It's nice that it's located on a lagoon. Out of all three of the places we looked at, they had the highest move-in cost."
