"Since moving into a spacious independent living apartment 14 months ago, we have experienced resort living with the added bonus of a Wellness Center and 24/7 EMT services. In addition to a caring management and staff, add on expertise! Hurricanes? No hassle for residents, because EVERYTHING is under control! Top management moves into our complex with generators, dining, communication, medical assistance…all covered! Tina Turner sang it and we agree: “Simply the best, better than all the rest.”"

"My husband is staying at Twin Creeks Assisted Living & Memory Care Community. We are very satisfied and happy with them. It was perfect. They did a great job. He has been there for almost a month now. They're understaffed sometimes, but besides that, they do an excellent job. The facility itself is clean. Great food. My husband wasn't eating very much, but that wasn't their fault. They clean everything. They love their patients. The coordinators and the administrator, are always involved in everything that you do. When you walk in, they ask you, 'Hi, how are you doing?' And everybody is very friendly. Unfortunately, my husband was not able to do too many activities because he was pretty much a vegetable there for a long time because they had overmedicated him at the hospital. As far as amenities, they have a little bus and if you want to, you can go to their doctor. They have an amazing, sweet, and very nice therapist. They have TV, they have karaoke, and they have a nice little place where they can sit outside. It's not a big place, and it's more contained. I think it's a safe place. I honestly do not have anything bad to say about them. It's a great place. "

"The independent and the assisted living at The Meridian at Brandon are all in the same building, but we went for the independent living. The facility itself is a brand new structure, so it's very appealing to the eyes. Everything about it was newer. They didn't have a model unit available to show. They have one unit that they showed us that's vacant. I think that a facility like that should ensure that there are model units available for a perspective person to be able to see, and they didn't have any. The staff during the tour didn't work there. He was like a regional person who tours and goes to different facilities. He started by saying, "If I don't have the information, I'll get it for you." He wasn't that well-versed on that particular location because he works for the company, and he goes all around. It had different rooms. It was very clean. It had a big library, an art room, and a theater room. It had all of the amenities, and everything was new. We only got to see one room, and it was a studio, and it was average."

"My friend will move into Brookdale Bayshore. First of all, the view is beautiful and every single room has a view of the bay. It's got a great outdoor pool, kitchen, and a dock that even provides fishing poles. Everybody was nice. It's a beautiful facility, and everything seemed just first-class. Anna's great, and she'd been my point of contact throughout the whole process. She's been readily available and has answered all my questions. They invited us to have lunch one day. We sat in on lunch, and they provided a glass of wine for us, and that was great. The menu options I saw looked extensive, and all of them sounded good. They do have a beauty salon. They have the library. They have a whole lot of different functions going on. They have live music and happy hours. They have outings where they go to different places."

"I have a friend who's living in Hawthorne Inn Assisted Living, and I was impressed with them. It's more assisted living, she is in a large room, and she has a couple pieces of her own furniture in there. Instead of a big cafeteria, they have little dining rooms, they have like five tables in there, and they have a little TV room right next to it. I liked that place, and it was not what I expected. I really liked the way they had the small dining area, so it wasn't like a big cafeteria I was expecting, and the activities director was very friendly, very outgoing, and enthusiastic. She was very good at her job. I was there one day and they were gonna have facials and ice cream, or facials and brownies. She always has something, a plan for them, and she makes sure that everybody knows that they were having it. It isn't like you're really gonna get to stay in your room. She exercises with them with pool noodles, plays music from the sixties or fifties, and they all seem to like that."

"I am completely satisfied with Central Tampa Assisted Living's service at this point. It's an older facility, and my wife is with a roommate in a semi-private room with closet space and limited storage space, but the place is very clean, well-staffed, and has 2 outdoor patios, a TV, and a therapy room. The people are very nice, and the administrator had been exceptionally helpful with just about everything. They've just been very good and cooperative. "

"My mother was a resident of Inspired Living. She came to the community in need of care, and the nurses and aides were wonderful, Her health improved greatly. It was an assisted living community, and it didn't provide the kind of activities necessary to keep my mother stimulated and active. That was frustrating for her, so that's why she wanted to move out. I thought it was good value considering all that they did for the residents. They provided wonderful care for my mother."

"My mom will move in next month to Addington Place. We saw it, and it was great. We knew from the moment we walked in that it was probably the one for her. They have so many beautiful common areas and outdoor areas. It's like a tropical oasis. They have a seawall where the residents go fishing. They have gazebos. They have pools and shuffleboard, lots of foliage, and is just gorgeous. I might want to go there myself. The staff was very personable with the residents and seemed to have a rapport with them naturally. She was very genuine. You can tell those residents felt very supported and seemed very happy. The person who took us around was obviously popular in that community. The area is on the water and in the nicest area of our county."

"I went to tour here. It was nice, but not someplace that we would put my mom because it was sort of dingy. It wasn't dirty, it's just not bright and cheery, and the residents that were there were not people that she would connect with. It felt like there were a lot of men, and I just didn't get a good feeling of the place. But it wasn't that it wasn't clean or that they weren't pleasant, because they were. They just got bought out and they just put a new roof in and they're doing some painting and they're going to remodel the rooms and they're putting new flooring in. So they're going in the right direction. It just wasn't a big enough community. The person who gave the tour was very informative, she was very pleasant, she was just good and I liked her. They don't have enough activities from what I gathered from the staff. It sounded like they do a lot of things, but not really anything my mom would be interested in, so it wouldn't work for her. They just bring entertainment in and they do activities with them."

"I was very impressed with Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living. It really kind of checked off all the boxes that we were looking for. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. What I really liked was their apartments were more spacious than some of the others that I had visited. Also, it was within my mom's price range. Their dining area was lovely. The apartments were lovely. The facility looked very clean and very well run. I just got a really good vibe when I walked in. I really liked it there."

"Brookdale Palma Sola was very clean and well kept. They had transportation available. It felt homey, and the dining area was very nice. The staff was very good. The facility was nice, but it was dated and it needed to be updated. I suggest more groundskeeping, get more flowers in there and have a flower bed and topiaries to liven up the place. Parking was good."

"My parents are moving into Wentworth Central Avenue. Everybody there was nice. From the person who helped us when we first got there, Michael, to the staff, everybody was so nice. The place was clean. They offered them a two-bedroom and both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. I like that it's private and they don't ask for a lot of information. Meals are included. They do three meals a day. But if you find you're still hungry, or you maybe just want fruit, or whatever, you could always ask for that. That's not a problem. They keep coffee and tea, and they have a fountain for juices. When you come downstairs on the first floor where the meals are, if you walk past, you see the coffee and there's water, or whatever, you can just take it. You could just drink it. They make sure that you stay hydrated, but they make sure that those liquids are always ready for you. One is a regular, I think, lemonade, but the other one is cucumber water. They have something every Friday. They have movies every Tuesday. They have a van that'll come and get them to take them shopping when they need to. I met a lady, who'll come and get mom to take her to do arts and crafts, and they just have a place where they just sit and talk and it's nice. They have a calendar for the activities that they give them to hang up. Every day there's something to do. Like every day on the calendar, it's like five or six different things going on every day. They do an assessment every three months."
