Somerby Lake Nona is pricey, but it is good. The room is nice. I would rate them high. The staff members are very good and the activities are very good, too. They have different activities. We went fishing and we went to the Festival of Trees. They're very expensive, but I would still recommend them because it is clean, and the food is good.

This is a beautiful community. Mom has been here for almost a year. Her apartment is the prefect size and she loves the food. It is a smaller building so it has been easy for her to get around and also to make friends. She doesn't participate in a lot of activities but she absolutely loves the outings. She went to Cape Canaveral a few weeks ago and had a great time. The staff is warm and friendly. It is not the least expensive place in town but it is a pretty good value for the money.

Watercrest of Lake Nona was very nicely laid out, clean, and it's only two-years-old, so it really looked good. Everybody was really friendly. There were residents out and about. We talked to some of them, and everybody seemed to be nice. It was a very nice atmosphere. They have a pool. It's a resort type setting where you can have meals anytime between 7:00 and 7:00. You can come down anytime for breakfast and order what you want. You don't have to come down and have breakfast at set times. It's open restaurant type style. They had very good food. One Sunday a month, they have breakfast that is open to the people that come visit or relatives that are there. We went to that, and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly. They have a bus that comes and takes people shopping and other things like that.

My mother was at Watercrest of Lake Nona. She stayed there for about a year, and it was great at first. Everybody was really helpful and nice, but it declined a bit toward the end. The rooms were great because it was a new facility when she moved in, but most of the staff that started a year ago has gone. She developed a sore on her foot and had to go the hospital, and she never got to come back because the wound never healed sufficiently enough. They did take herĀ on a couple of field trips. She liked the food.

My mom is in Watercrest of Lake Nona. She's extremely happy there. It's a brand new place that's only been around for six months. She loves the staff and has a beautiful room looking out onto the garden. She could not be happier. The room's immaculate, quite large, very open, and has a good-sized bathroom with no tub to deal with and has a walk-in shower without curbs. She has own washer and dryer in the room. The staff comes in and does her washing in the room, so there's no problem with clothing getting mixed up. It has two big windows that looo out into a garden, and there's a forest behind that with a sunset through the trees, so she's very happy. The other thing we liked about the place is that the meals are not at certain times. The dining room is open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and you can go eat any time you like, so if she wants to sleep in the morning and get up and have breakfast at 10:00 a.m., they'd accommodate that, which she really likes. They have ceiling fans and cable TV. The only thing that we're not happy with is they cannot get the Tennis Channel on her TV, and she really misses it. All of the rooms get the same cable and you can't upgrade. The staff is just fabulous. They take her to her church, and the doctors come right there to the facility so she doesn't have to get into a van to go to her doctor. In that parking lot is a medical care place with a dentist, an ice cream store, and a bakery. The location is hard to beat. They have both independent and assisted, and it's memory care. My mom has Alzheimer's so if she gets to the point where she needs more care, they have a separate unit in the same building that can take care of her when her Alzheimer's gets worse. The entire staff goes through training on Alzheimer's which is really good.

We had to move my parents from another assisted living because of poor care. When my parents arrived, they treated them like royalty. They we proactive and on the ball everything and have taken care of things you wouldn't think of. My mother passed away shortly after arriving (NO fault of watercrest). My father is beyond spoiled by everyone!!! The building is gorgeous and offers so many amenities. Every staff member acknowledges you and the atmosphere is that of caring, kindness, dignity, respect and compassion. I highly recommend watercrest to everyone!!!
