We already found a place for my stepmother and that's Gentle Shepherd Assisted Living Facility. It is close to where I live. It is a very clean facility and the room that she is in is very good. I'm very happy with it. She is 92 years old, and unfortunately, she is not very happy there because she wants to be on her own in her own house. That's the only problem we have. However, Gentle Shepherd takes care of her very well. The staff is also very friendly. Of course, I visited her at least four to five times a week. Hopefully, little by little she will get used to it.
About The Gentle Shepherd Assisted Living Facility in Kissimmee, Florida
At The Gentle Shepherd Assisted Living Facility, we take pride in offering a warm, family-oriented home where every resident is cared for with dignity, compassion, and genuine connection. Located at 1707 W Oak Street in Kissimmee, Florida, our small, cozy community is intentionally designed to feel like home rather than a large institution. With a limited number of residents, we’re able to provide highly personalized care and build meaningful relationships with each individual who becomes part of our family. Our team is dedicated to supporting residents with the daily assistance they may need, including help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management. We believe in providing care that adapts to each person’s unique needs while encouraging independence whenever possible. Because we are a smaller community, our staff can remain attentive, responsive, and consistently focused on resident well-being. We prepare home-style meals each day, creating a welcoming dining experience that brings residents together. The home also features comfortable common areas where residents can relax, socialize, or participate in activities that enrich their daily lives. We offer opportunities for engagement, companionship, and spiritual connection to help residents feel supported in every aspect of life. At The Gentle Shepherd, our mission is simple: to create a safe, loving environment where seniors feel respected, valued, and truly at home. Caring for our residents is not just our work—it's our calling. If you're looking for a place where your loved one will be treated like family, we warmly welcome you to experience the difference our community offers.
