I toured The Courtyard At Granada. It was a disappointment because we went to the 10:00 appointment. There was no one there except for the staff and none of them knew that we were coming. So, nothing was accomplished. One of the staff members tried to give us a tour of the place, but we weren't able to sit down and talk with anybody to discuss pricing, what comes with what, or anything. When they tried to call the person who was supposed to be there, she just told them to tell us that they have no room, to leave our information, and they'll call us when they have room. It was a very negative experience but I do give staff members credit for trying to pick up the ball, accomplishing whatever but really couldn't accomplish what we needed to know. The place was clean. It looked organized. The people that we saw there did not look uncomfortable. We meet one of the residents who has very advanced Alzheimer's or dementia. And it kind of broke our hearts because we saw how she wanted to interact, but we couldn't answer her questions because we didn't know her. She tried to talk with us. She was very sweet, and of course, we couldn't do or give her what she wanted. Then she got a little upset and walked off, but they were taking good care of her. They gave her hugs and tried to fulfill her needs. The staff looked like they were doing what they were supposed to do.

I toured The Courtyard At Granada. Strangely, because of my wife's advanced stage of dementia, the staff that I spoke to didn't feel that it was the right facility for her. The facilities looked nice. It was like an expensive person's home. It was geared up with separate rooms for the patient. One of the parts of it that I thought was a little bit strange was that the memory care wasn't separated like in some of the other places that I visited. The place was very nice and the staff was very helpful and very courteous.

We toured The Courtyard at Granada. We talked to the manager and my mother has needs that they're not licensed for. The facility was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very well kept.

We toured The Courtyard at Granada. They didn't realize we had an appointment and then the owner wasn't there, so one of the workers kind of showed us around. The place was very clean and very nice, but it was more hospital-like than homey to me and I didn't want a hospital feel. A lot of the clients were in their rooms and there didn't seem to be a lot of activity going around. Some were sitting down watching television, others were in their rooms. Maybe it was just the time we went, but I wouldn't have chosen that for my sister because everybody's just kind of sitting around looking vegetable-like. It's a beautiful place though. The staff that we interacted with was very nice. They told us as much as they could, but they didn't know everything that we needed to know.

The Courtyard At Granada was more like a hospital to me. The staff was very nice and very, very good. It was more memory care than the other level of care, the people were not active. The staff was very attentive and helpful.
