My mom is taken care of well in Meadow Brook. It is a nice, little, private place with only six people at a time because it is a very small facility where they can take care of each individual’s needs on an individual basis. It is very clean and nice. The woman who owns it is a very wonderful and caring person. She has been in that business for over 30 years. I don't have any worries about my mother’s care whatsoever. She does not really have any qualms about the food. Every now and then she will say things, but she has dementia and that’s why she is there. She needs help bathing and dressing, but she can feed herself. She can read, write, and have a conversation. She just does not remember. They are catering to her needs as necessary. She has a specific doctor that comes and sees her. She’s going to start therapy soon because her mobility is not that good. They have activities, like they go for walks and to the movies. When somebody has a birthday, they have a little party. They do games, puzzles. Some of the residents there are involve in programs. The transportation will pick them up and bring them to their program and bring them back. The house is all clean, smells nice, and is absolutely beautiful. The lady who runs it is just phenomenal. She cares and has an individual relationship with those people.
