My sister is now at Parklands Care Center. I like it. She is not confined to one space. She can move freely throughout the entire building, and that means a lot. What I don't like about it is that there are some rooms where there are three people to a room. She is fortunate because she is in a room that's just a two-person room. The staff members are very nice. They are very attentive and caring. I eat some of my sister's food, and it's better than most places. I was surprised because it's an older establishment. Some areas need painting and things like that, but that has nothing to do with the care that she gets. They have tons of activities, but she does not participate in any of them because she's bedridden. They have bingo, trivia, sing-alongs, exercise classes, a coffee club, snack time in the afternoons, and movie night every night with popcorn. They have quite a few activities. If you've got somebody there that can participate in the activities, it might be a fun place to be. It's also probably one of the more expensive places in town. It's not extremely attractive like most places are, but I think the quality of care rates it a 4.

I was at Parklands from 12/18/2023 to 01/11/2024. I enjoyed my stay. Everyone was friendly; all the staff appeared to enjoy their jobs. The facility was very clean. The meals were good. You could eat in your room or dining room. If you chose the dining room for lunch you were treated to a delicious homemade soup. I particularly enjoyed the rehab department. The staff were knowledgeable and caring, The exercises were beneficial for strengthening your arms and legs. Music was provided every day after lunch. Numerous activities were available every day and the Parklands bus transported residents to shopping centers each month. I would recommend Parklands for short or long term residents.

Service is not very good. The aides are agency aides, say it's not there job. I think they charge to much for their services. Only thing I can rate well is their physical therapy group and a couple of nurses.

I was a resident there earlier this year. They used doctors that were not on my insurance plan I had to pay hundreds of dollars out of my own pocket. They did not get my medication until after I had been there three days even though I asked if they would have them ready and they said "yes". I asked that I have a wheelchair ready when I got there. They did not. I was told that they would send me home with meds until the Dr. appointment (that they made). They did not. Basically, do not believe anything they say.

I was not very impressed with Parklands Rehabilitation because I wasn’t realistic about what to expect; I didn’t realize that really was not some place I would want to put my mother. It wasn’t that good; they were not expecting us. The gentlemen that showed us around couldn’t give us any idea about what cost it would be. We saw that some of the workers seemed bored, and they were on their cell phones; it was not an impressive experience.

I toured Parklands and I was very happy with the greetings I received from staff. I had my grad dad in another nursing home in the area and the staff didn't seem as happy. I didn't smell any smells and it was clean. I am glad I toured because my grand dad is very happy with the staff and the care he receives. Thank You to all the staff at Parklands that is helping me take care of my grand dad, Sherry

Some of the staff are like rushing. Not all safety precautions are monitored and observed. We were all students so most likely we were shadows from the CNA's working there. some of the nurses are unhelpful and makes us feel like a nuisance to them. Although not all of them are like that. Facility is clean and organize. I dislike their light system because I prefer hearing the room number where I am needed at. Not much team work also.
