My brother transferred to assisted living more than a year after he suffered a massive stroke. He had been in and out of intensive care while bedridden in a different facility. After many months in that place he had recovered enough to eat and swallow soft food but he was still unable to walk. Then he came to Lynmoore, just before Christmas in 2023. My wife and I live in California, so we can't visit him in Florida that often, but we did visit for a few days in June, 2024. What a difference! We walked in one day just after his physical therapy session ended; he was walking back to his room with the therapist by his side, not in his wheelchair! That never happened before. This alone would rate five stars, but there is more. During our visit we interacted with many people: the nurses, the therapists, the community engagement director, the records office, the business office, even the dining hall staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Residents coming and going were greeted by name. The buildings were clean and well maintained. The food was good; I ordered the same thing that my brother had when we ate together in the dining room. The affiliated home healthcare and pharmacy services are excellent; I continue to interact with them. However, there is even more to the story. My brother was in such bad shape when he first came to Lynmoore that, during our June visit, a couple of staff members admitted to me that they didn't think he would last in assisted living; he was that bad off. I truly believe he was admitted and flourished because the Wellness Director believed in him, motivated him from the very beginning, and everyone took good care of him around the clock.

I liked The Lynmoore at Lawnwood. The facility was nice. I'm a joiner and I like a lot of activities, so I'm kind of just going by the feel of the place and The Lynmoore at Lawnwood just struck me as just a lot of older people. Some people needed assistance to be fed. It just didn't feel like it was for me and they didn't have a pool. The food was good and the dining room was very bright with lots of windows. They were way too expensive. The tour person was very nice.

While we're on vacation my mother-in-law is going to get respite care at the Lynmoore at Lawnwood. Some of the other facilities were asking for a minimum of three weeks or one month for respite care, and all I needed was two, and the Lynmoore at Lawnwood were able to do that for me. They were nice and friendly. They were willing to show me around to all the rooms and everything. The apartment was very nice. It was furnished for the upcoming respite care. I think it will suit my mother-in-law for her needs, and they'll be doing her medication management. I didn't try their food, but they have set up samples of food in the hallways for the residents to look at to decide whether they want it or not, and it looked very appealing. For amenities, they provide the care, the three meals, and the activities. They've always got something to do there.

My client is now at The Lynmoore at Lawnwood. They had three memory care areas, and they had an open room smaller area so she wouldn't be overwhelmed. They probably weren't the cheapest, but they were in our area of price. Everyone I talked to seemed to be nice and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. My client is in memory care and her room is very nice and we were able to take a few things and make it a little more familiar for her. It's just the right size for her. I've only had one meal with her, and it was good. She doesn't eat a lot of fancy stuff, but they have other choices that she can use. As for activities, she's not very alert as far as what you're trying to tell her, and she forgets five minutes later. But I've seen them with her coloring, and that's pretty much it. I tried to play cards with her because we used to play cards.

We chose The Lynmoore at Lawnwood for my sister-in-law. It was the best of the group, we thought. It was very nice. The people were very nice. They made some changes in their costs and all that so we could afford it, and I really appreciated that. My sister-in-law is in memory care. One of the things that I appreciated, which I didn't see in any of the other places we reviewed, was that she has her own bedroom. She has a roommate, but the roommate has her own bedroom also with a door. If they want to be alone, they can close that door, or if they want to talk to each other, they can open their door. I didn't see that feature in the others. And then they share a bathroom. The cleanliness is wonderful. I didn't see anything that I was concerned with. The staff were all very friendly and very nice to my sister-in-law. When we arrived there and we were being interviewed, all of a sudden somebody was singing and I asked the girl who was singing, and she said, 'that's one of our patients.' So we came out and there she was, singing on top of her lungs. I noticed everybody is walking by paying no attention. It didn't bother anybody and that really impressed me that she could just be herself and sing away. Whatever activities you can think of, they offer. In the middle of where their rooms are, it's all windows, so you could see out into the gardens and trees and flowers. They can go out there and there are chairs they could sit in, so they can get outside. Someone has to come with them from the memory care, but they can get outside and get fresh air, and that was very nice. The first day when my sister-in-law got there, we didn't see the food then, but the next time we came in, she was having our lunch and we sat with her while she had her lunch, and the food looked great. They gave us ice cream. It's a little pricey but they gave us a deal.

I'm pleased with The Lynmoore at Lawnwood in general. My father is in the memory care area and they've done a good job with calling us when there have been incidents. They've got a positive attitude and all the residents look happy and well taken care of. So, they make me feel pretty good about him being there. All the nurses are helpful, too. The place looks very new. They even have a calm-down room and it's painted in a soothing color. I also like that they got massage chairs and music. It just looks nice. It looks a little bit more like a hotel and they keep it up well. He just hasn't been there long enough, so I don't know much about them yet.

My aunt is in The Lynmoore at Lawnwood. I just like the layout compared to the other community we saw. I like the fact that she's on the ground floor, not having to use an elevator to go to dinner or go to breakfast or anything like that. So far, so good and everything's fine. I don't have an opinion on negative or positive images, everything is just how I expected it to be. Overall, the staff is very nice, very kind, they're very engaging and everything's good. The food is great, it's excellent. They have physical therapy, they've got bingo, they've got movie nights, they've got church on Sundays, they've got all kinds of activities. It's nice.

My husband liked The Lynmoore at Lawnwood. He felt very comfortable there, but I found the rooms kind of grim, to the extent that I would direct him elsewhere. I didn't like the individual rooms and I understand that the concept is that people do not spend a lot of time there, and I can certainly understand that they wouldn't want to. The person who gave us the tour did an adequate job but there were multiple things that we were not able to see. They were in a state of flux. They were moving the gym, so it didn't exist at all. All we looked at was an empty room. She was talking about a heroes wall with veterans and so on, but apparently, they were taking new photographs or something, so it was sort of a hit or miss kind of situation

The Lynmoore at Lawnwood is nice; my sister moved in there. She plays bingo, does exercises, and learns how to crochet among other things. The staff is very pleasant and nice. The place is nice, big, and open, and has lots of amenities inside, like beauty parlors. They also take the residents to doctors in one of their buses.

The Lynmoore at Lawnwood looked pleasant and adequate. The place was nice, but didn't compare with the other community we visited. It was an older but clean place. They had a place for the ladies to get their hair done, outings for the residents, and music.

Lynmoore at Lawnwood was excellent and the place was spotless. The staff was very caring. When we first went there, the admission coordinator answered all the questions I asked. I can’t say enough about them. They were really great all around. The staff really go over and above what their job description is. They look after my sister well. They’re like a little family. The food is pretty good. My sister is not crazy about it, because she’s pretty fussy; but friends and family have gone to have lunch or dinner with her, and there’s a pretty good choice of food. They usually have one main meal on the menu, but you could also get a sandwich or fries. The food on a scale of 1 to 10 is an 8. There’s always something going on every day. They take people out to plays. They have manicure days. The stuff that they do for holidays is unbelievable. They had an Oktoberfest. The place was decorated beautifully for Halloween. They also do this black-and-white affair once a year where everybody gets dressed up and eats wonderful food. They have several central patio areas where they do barbecues for the residents.

My mother has been at the Lynmoore for a year in their Memory Care wing -- she has received wonderful care by a staff of highly skilled, loving people. The unit is warm, intimate, and always spotless (no strange smells!) Activities go on all day for those that want to participate, meals are relaxed and span an hour or so for serving time -- very personalized arrangement! Very pleased with the care mom is getting --

Before our relative passed away, we had her in Lynmoore at Lawnwood. She was there for two months. This facility was very good. It was very nice and clean. We like that the hospital was right there in case that she needed it. The people there were very nice. The food was good. The staff was great. They were constantly watching over her, which was what we needed at that time.

My mom will move in next week to Lynmoore. It's close by to my current resident. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. The presentation of the sales rep was fantastic and I liked what she has to offer. The facility itself is very nice, clean and smells good. It also came recommended by some of the people that I knew and there are a couple of people that reside there that I'm familiar with. We had lunch there and the food was good.
