"I liked MorningStar, I thought it was small, and it was off a busy street. It was nice, but I didn't like the location, it was in a really busy area. It was modern, clean, and very pretty. The staff was very courteous, very nice, and very friendly. They have lots of activities for seniors and transportation to local store; that was a plus."

"Brookdale I think was the nicest place I visited. There were very good people there, so that was the best fit. Everything seems pretty good so far. He has his own room that is pretty new and spacious. I like the actual care and knowing that he is going to be OK. "

"Upon entering The Hillcrest I could tell it was a place I would want my grandma to live. Staff was extra friendly. The building smelled wonderful and looked immaculate. The menu looked appealing as well as the event calendar. I was impressed with the independent apartments because they felt like actual homes instead of being facility like. "

"Mom has been in Sunrise for a couple of months now. She's got a 1-bedroom den. It's got some room for her computer and it's a little bit more spacious. It's just a little bit more upscale. The stuff in the kitchen was nicer and had a lot of amenities that we weren't expecting. It has a refrigerator with an icemaker, a refrigerator, a stove, just like a regular kitchen. It's more like a home. The staff is very helpful. There's been a few glitches here and there and mom has had a few disconnects. Recently, she use their transportation services the first time to take her to and from a doctor's appointment. That worked out great for her. There's a big health club right across the street. Apparently, there is some sort of reciprocal relationship with health clubs, so the residents there have some access to the health club. They do all kinds of activities. I go over to visit mom at least a couple of times a week and there's always something going on. There are two or three programs going on. They've got room that they call the "bistro" downstairs where they do happy hour a couple of times a week. Somebody would come in and play the piano. They always got some sort of organized offsite thing, going to some local restaurants for breakfast. They got a really nice crafts room, so there's lots of arts and crafts program. They have an exercise room, library, an onsite beauty salon. It's really very much self-contained. It's got a really nice indoor climate-controlled garage, so she's got a place to park her car where it's safe. "

"It is good, the staff is doing a great job to my mother-in-law. She seems to be happy and I haven’t heard her complaining. The rooms are clean and nice. I have tried a couple of meals and everything seems good. They changed the diet around a lot. People order their food in the dining room and there are wait persons and they have a menu and they do offer something every day. They have hamburgers too. They have entertainment, church service every Sunday, they have an activity director that is trained to come up with different things; they have crafts, bingo, movie night almost every night. However they have a little bit of a problem with medication, she misses her medication sometimes. "

"I went here. The staff was very friendly. We toured a two-bedroom, which was large enough to suit my needs. It was very light. It had nice windows and a small patio outside. The bathroom was large enough for a wheelchair if that was needed. They also had a one-bedroom if you wanted it. The dining area was very light and large. They had an exercise room, and they had a private dining room if you're entertaining guests. They had a bowling alley. They also had a cafe where you can go down in the afternoon, grab a snack, or a drink or something. It's a very pleasant place."

"Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge was the best of the three we visited.  They're both an independent and assisted living center.  I have eaten there quite a few times.  They had great food, great staff, and activities.  I had a very secure feeling there.  They had a big stone wall all the way around the place.  There was one entrance in, and their doors stayed pretty locked except where the main entrance was.  This was a pretty new facility, and it was very well maintained. "

"My mom moved into Northglenn Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care. Nellie was the sales manager who I feel was instrumental in the decision. There were a lot of great follow-ups. She was also sensitive to the specific needs of the family, and she's been very supportive throughout the process. My mother is in the memory care unit, so it's a little bit different, but the facilities were clean, neat, and organized. The residents are engaged, which is one of the reasons why I'm doing a follow-up. Mom seems very happy there. She's getting a chance to interact with others. It provides a great social setting, and I'm sure the food is adequate."

"Sunrise of Westminster has a community where it's completely memory care and a lot of the caretakers have been there for more than 10 years. It's excellent all the way around. My mother's room is very clean, nicely kept, has a beautiful view of the backyard, and she shares it with another lady. The meals are three times a day and she's eating well. They know how to cope when she gets agitated or aggravated. Not once has she had an ambulance ride since she's been there. The place is very clean, it is a locked and secured area, you should know the code to get in and out, and they have the doors that will alarm if they're going to the courtyard, which is allowed. The food is to die for. It smelled and looked good. They're not just sitting around looking at each other. They have trivia, games, toss and kick a ball, coloring, painting, baking, and outings. The grounds are well kept, and the facility has no urine smell. It has fireplaces and a sunroom. Everything is clean and well kept."

"We found a place for my father, and we're going with Park Regency Assisted Living and Memory Care, Thornton. It's only for respite care for 14 days. We went with them because they have the availability, and the price is good. And most importantly, they have very kind and caring staff. The rooms have all the grab bars and safety for elderly ones for both assisted living and memory care. It's very clean and kept up very well. Everything looked new to me, and they have enough rooms. They're spacious. The rooms have microwaves and small refrigerators. They're furnished with comfortable chairs, beds, TVs, nightstands, and lamps. It's very aesthetically pleasing and clean. When I walked in one time, a lady was coming out and she asked me, 'Have you ever been here before?' And I said, 'Yes, actually I have.' And she said, 'Okay. I work in the kitchen, nice to meet you.' She said it was nice to meet my dad. So it doesn't matter who you speak with, everybody is just very welcoming, kind, and caring. "

My dad was not social and now I can never get him to answer his phone. When I visit he’s socializing and participating. Never in his room. Thank you Crossroads"

"My mom is a resident of Thornton Assisted Living. It's very clean and well taken care of. What I don't like about it is that it's very expensive. The staff is very professional. The place was very thought out and very efficient. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The rooms are appropriately sized, they're small rooms, but they're good for one person."
