"We went to Brookdale Longmont. The grounds were lovely. The rooms were smaller. They were not nearly as spacious as the other place and that was a little off-putting when you're used to having a home of your own and more spacious surroundings. The grounds are lovelier than the inside. The staff during the tour was ideal. She was terrific. I didn't have the food. The dining area looked four-ish to me. The activities I thought were minimal, and they offered maybe two or three a day, sometimes two."

"My folks were at Keystone Place, and they were very happy there. The rooms were very nice, clean, and organized. The food was very good, as well as the care. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Every day, they have lots of activities, they have a woodworking shop, a pool, and a library. "

"I toured Northglenn Heights Assisted Living. It seemed like a friendly community. My unit happens to be a one-bedroom versus the studio that I have here. It has a patio. I met some friendly people just at lunch. Their food was good. Just friendly staff. I was pretty impressed. I only had one meal there, but it was tasty and it was served very politely. They gave me a paper with all the activities. It seemed like there were more activities than there were in the other community."

"I can say that the staff genuinely care for the people living there. I never had to question whether or not things got done, whether that be from management, or care staff to houskeepers, and kitchen staff. The food was great and the atmosphere was homey. My brother loved it there, and when he got sick they made sure to help coordinate hospice care with a great team. Overall I think they do a great job and are compassionate people. "

"My mom is a resident of Thornton Assisted Living. It's very clean and well taken care of. What I don't like about it is that it's very expensive. The staff is very professional. The place was very thought out and very efficient. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The rooms are appropriately sized. I mean, they're small rooms, but they're good for one person."

"The residents and the people at Park Regency Thornton seemed to like the community, so we were really happy with them. They said there was no time that we couldn’t visit our loved one if they were there. The dining hall was very nicely laid out. The rooms were very nice and open. There was no smell in there. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. It seemed to be very well kept. They had a nice little garden area for the residents. It was in a nice little neighborhood where you can take a nice walk with your loved one if you wanted to."

"Sterling House is the very first place we visited. They were very nice. The woman we met was really helpful. We explained to her that we're just beginning our search, and we didn't know the difference between assisted living and independent. And she was really helpful. She probably spent an hour and a half with us. She took us to show some rooms. We realized they were just way too small. We understood why because it's an assisted living. Most of the time, we sat in their dining room and just chatted. I think probably the thing that I was most impressed with is that I think it was pretty obvious early on in the conversation that it wasn't what we need. But she was still very helpful in giving us a lot of general information. She was still willing to sit there and talk to us and give us the benefit of her experience, which I thought was very nice. We liked the place. It was nice and pretty new. They were doing some renovations and add-ons. It looked like a very nice place and the people are very nice to us. "

"My mom will be moving into Arbor View Senior Living. The main reason is she felt comfortable there. The people were real friendly, and she liked the environment there. It just felt more like home to her. The inside is in the middle of a remodeling, but it looked like it will be okay. We are fine with it. On the outside everything was clean, and we were happy with it. They were great, and we had no problems with the people we dealt with. They are Carrie and Angela. They were friendly, very informative, and gave us a great tour. They have a library, a beauty salon (which is not open right now but will be opened), and they have an exercise room. In the library is a little coffee bar too."

"My Dad has moved into Gardens Care Senior Living - Majestic View. I liked it because it's a residential home with only 11 residents. There are two caregivers and the caregiver who oversees everything has been there for 16 years. It's a family environment. My dad has a bedroom and a full bath. I love their house manager and primary caretaker, and I like most of the staff. There's one person that's okay. They have meals and snacks, and activities. Everything is included. They have really good food, compared to most of the places. For activities, they do cross and have discussions. They also do devotions and Bible study, and they go for a walk."

"We looked at the one-bedroom independent living apartments in San Marino Retirement for my brother. They were bigger than the studios and very nice. The whole place was very nice. They had a place for activities, and they go to museums and on field trips. They had different levels of care, like assisted living and skilled nursing, aside from independent living. My brother could furnish his own apartment, and the three meals were included in the price, which was definitely reasonable. My husband and I liked their patio homes, and we could have our dog there. It's a large place with a variety of things. The staff was very friendly, helpful with the residents, and seemed very happy. They offered us lunch, and the food looked very good. "
