I live at Arbor View Senior Living. The grounds are beautiful, except they could use a little more care in each apartment. They leave it like that because some people like to garden, and I'm not a gardener, so mine is kind of full of weeds around my front part. The staff is wonderful though. They're all very nice. They offer crafts, games, cards, classes, reading, and puzzles. They offer everything you could think of. They have a lot of good activities. The dining area is a little tight at times, and the food is up and down. Sometimes it's below average or sometimes it's what I would expect. It could use improvement. The community is kind of expensive, but compared to some of these other places, it'd be mediocre.

Arbor View Senior Living was very aesthetically pleasing. During my visit at their assisted living, I looked at a number of different rooms, but I was looking primarily for a one-bedroom for my parents. I thought that the rooms seemed nice. The staff was very helpful. I had lunch there and the food was quite good. For activities, they were offering crafts and exercise classes. The residents are also able to sign up and go on field trips.

I toured Arbor View Senior Living. It's all on one level, with no stairs to climb. The rooms and the patio doors are open, and they can walk right outside or let their dogs out. The staff was very friendly and nice. The building's old but it's still nice. It has a nice and quiet atmosphere. The seniors and staff were friendly. The rooms were pretty large. The dining area was clean.

The thing that I liked best about Arbor View Senior Living was the buildings sit on a large park-like area. They have 13 acres, and more or less the facilities are in the center of that. So when you look out of any window, what you're looking out at are grass and trees for the most part. It has a nice feeling of spaciousness. And if somebody lived there and was able to get out and walk around, it would be a pleasant place to go for a walk. They had a theater area. They had a fairly spacious, well-kept, and clean dining area. The dining area opened up to a patio. Just beyond the patio-type area was kind of an outdoor area, so they had facilities for barbecues and outdoor parties in a way. Everything seemed comfortable and clean. It looked as if they had done some recent painting. I didn't see anything that looked like it was rundown or unkempt.

Arbor View Senior Living was very clean. The people were very friendly. The options that they have are amazing. They have laundry and a little theater for movies. I even talked to the cook or whoever was in charge of the food there and everybody was very friendly and explained everything that I needed to know and was very helpful. I talked to a couple of people and they're very pleased with the food. I asked the cook if you have a health issue, can they have certain foods, and he said yes. They have a menu and they have a planned meal, but you can also order a hamburger or whatever you want. We went into different areas like the craft area, and there were people there who were also friendly and said, "Oh, I hope you come." It was just a very pleasant trip. I liked that place.

I went to Arbor View Senior Living. Their rooms were really small, but they weren't bad. They were the cheapest. They had single-unit type where they had bedroom-living room altogether, but they're really small. They had good amenities. They're very helpful and very pleasant people. They had plenty of options or things to do and stuff. Some rooms were set aside for those who can move about and do recreational things, and then they also had another room for those who were in a wheelchair or something where you have things that they could do, and I thought that was kind of nice to have everything set up that way. They had nice rooms for meals and all that. They had part of the rec room area upstairs if your family could come to meet you and you could do things together. They had shuttle buses to take you places if you needed to go somewhere. We managed to run into a couple of seniors that lived there, and they said they got great cooks, great food, and everything else, and I thought that's good to know. Like most of them, they're all booked up at the moment, but it's a great place. They care about their people and make sure that everything's taken care of. They're very helpful and I thought that was great there. Everybody there was responsible and helpful to all the people and everything else. And the place was very well maintained.

The tour experience at Arbor View Senior Living was very good. We happened to be there on a day when there was an upper-level management person there who handles many different facilities from their parent company, so we got a lot of questions answered. She was a very sweet lady. It was a great experience, so we're leaning toward this one right now. They're in the middle of a remodel. It's a small facility. On the independent living side, there are only 50 occupancies, with a maximum of 55. None of them were available in the size we wanted, which was a one-bedroom. We saw a studio that was half the size, and it was way too small. We saw that they were building a movie theater. We saw their exercise room. We heard about what activities they have, and we were able to take a monthly calendar with us. They had a community garden or a garden club. We got to see how it's coming together, and it was probably the most impressive part of it.

Arbor View Senior Living felt very homey. The facility and grounds were lovely. The staff members that we met were nice and not pushy at all. We like the amenities, like the game room, dining area, and laundry facilities. It's close to my house, which is wonderful. The rooms were small, but they seemed adequate for my mom's needs and for the things that she would like to have with her to keep her comfortable in this transition. The new dining area is beautiful, with a nice view of the grounds of the Rocky Mountains. We saw some of their menus, and they looked delicious. All of the independent living apartments have a sliding glass door with a little patio. It's got some really lovely front and back lawns. They have a play area for great-grandchildren to come to play. They're doing some extensive remodeling, so we were not able to see everything in its finished state.

My aunt is at Arbor View Senior Living in Arvada. It's nice and the people are friendly. They have an exercise room and an aviary. They also have a piano at the entrance and they frequently have music. They had a person playing the harp once, just going up and down the hallway for the people who couldn't get out of their rooms so they could still hear music, and that was nice. The staff members are very friendly. You get to know them on a more personal level because you see them while visiting. They're very nice. At the front desk, there was a lady there named Vera, she's so nice and she's been there for at least 10 or 15 years so that's kind of nice and reassuring that they have people who want to stay and they don't have a high turnover. My aunt is older and has Alzheimer's, so it's a good place for that. They have a locked women's facility, which is nice. Their memory care is awesome and the caregivers they have back there, Myra and Nicole, are so awesome. They go above and beyond general care like they were curling some of the lady's hairs and combing them while talking to them. I don't know if they're still there, but they were there when my aunt was moved to the memory care part. I felt comfortable when I was leaving because they were there and they were awesome caregivers. I last visited the place about a month ago. I don't know all the ins and outs of it, but from what I can see, it's pretty nice. It's an older facility, not brand-new, but I don't care about that. I care more about the care.

My wife is staying in Arbor View Senior Living. She's happy where she's at now. It's pretty nice. She likes it. She's got some neighbors she hangs out with and they do daily activities. She's pretty happy there. It's a step-up facility. Right now, she's just assisted living, but if things get to where she needs help, they have different areas of the home that you can step up to and get more definitive care. She still cleans her own apartment, but they have maid facilities that come by and ask you if you need some help and they'll come in and vacuum and do dishes and things like that. She doesn't need that yet. As time goes on and she deteriorates, they'll step up her care. She kind of likes to be alone and they are feeling it out to see how much interaction she wants, so she's playing it by ear right now.

I moved into Arbor View Senior Living two months ago, and I'm quite happy. I like the general atmosphere of the place. The people are friendly and the staff. It just feels very homelike. I look out my window and my patio door, and it's like a park. I have huge, huge blue spruce trees. I have a 3-foot square little garden outside my door, and it turns out to be a miniature allium (which I've watched all spring), and I can see a little patch of mountain through the window. The grounds are lovely. The food is good. They are very concerned. It was Memorial Day weekend and my niece came up from Texas. She was helping me get pictures up and that sort of thing and she brought in lunch. I hadn't been out for a couple of days, and the concierge called me and said, "Are you OK?" I said, "Yeah, I'm fine." She said, "I haven't seen you. I just wanted to check and make sure you're OK." I feel like there's a concern for me individually, as well as just meeting my needs. It's a good place to be. They're remodeling the hallways, so that's been a little primitive at this point. They have gotten the halls painted and are progressing. It's a little bit rough from that point of view, but the activities are fun. There's a couple of ladies that I have lunch with frequently. We talk about authors we've read and in particular books that we've enjoyed. There's not all that many people I can do that with, so that gives me a feeling of comfort. I'm doing some exercise classes. When I came in here, I was so weak that getting to the dining room was a struggle. Now, I'm doing three exercise classes a week and just feeling a lot better. It's just exactly what I wanted. It's in Arvada. I can get to my church, and I have friends in the community. I lived in Arvada for 50 years. When I moved in here, my diabetes went nuts; I'm on a very limited diet. There are 25 to 30 residents in the dining room, so there's a lot of happy chatter. One day I decided to have a strawberry spinach salad with chicken was breaded and fried, and I said, "Oh, I can't have that." They said, "We can just fry you a chicken breast." They did that and sliced it. It was just lovely. They accommodate for my needs, as well as my taste. They have lots of choices, particularly for a fairly small facility. They're right on it as far as choices and so forth. We have special meals coming up on holidays, and they do a rather nice thing. The 4th of July was on the Friday before, and that made it possible for us to spend the 4th of July itself with family. All of our holiday meals have been quite elegant and lovely. We had some special food. We had ribs for the 4th of July, then we have the holiday free for visiting with family. They're remodeling the public areas, so it's a bit rough. One whole week, we had paint smell all up and down the hall. It's going to be very nice. The price is half of what I was paying at the other place.

My mom will be moving into Arbor View Senior Living. The main reason is she felt comfortable there. The people were real friendly, and she liked the environment there. It just felt more like home to her. The inside is in the middle of a remodeling, but it looked like it will be okay. We are fine with it. On the outside everything was clean, and we were happy with it. They were great, and we had no problems with the people we dealt with. They are Carrie and Angela. They were friendly, very informative, and gave us a great tour. They have a library, a beauty salon (which is not open right now but will be opened), and they have an exercise room. In the library is a little coffee bar too.

We took a tour at Arbor View Senior Living for my mom, and it was very pleasant; it is well taken care of. The people are friendly, and the staff were great, from William, the chef, to Carrie, who took us on the tour, to the activities director -- they were all very responsive. There were people in the community room, they were all kind of hanging out, and there was someone playing a game. The food is very good; they gave us lunch and some chicken. The room is nice, it has lots of windows, and it was clean and well kept.

I visited the Arbor View Senior Living, and it was great. They showed me a studio and a one-bedroom. We just went to the bedrooms from an outside entrance. We did not go through the facility, just went into the rooms through the patio doors. The staff was very friendly. It appeared to be clean and maintained right. They do arts and crafts mostly. We talked about different meal plans. We went around the back part and I thought I saw a courtyard or a back area.

We chose Arbor View Senior Living because the other places we found cost close to double Arbor View and they don't charge extra for the level of care. They come in three times a day and check your blood pressure, oxygen level, and temperature. They bring you your meals right now during COVID because there's no dining services. I felt better about this place. There were other places that were nice, but they were way more than we could afford. A friend and I were walking outside on the day when we were out there, though I never actually went into the facility. She was impressed with it and her mother had lived there for five years before. Based on her opinion, I would highly rate it, or else she wouldn't have given up her home and moved over there.
