"Brookdale Meridian Arvada was very nice. They said that they're going to get washers and dryers next year in the units, and that really makes me happy. I didn't make a deposit; they didn't tell me I could, but my name is on the waiting list. The facility was very upgraded. The manager was very, very nice, and she dressed nicely, too. Also, I had another male manager, and he was very polite and everything. So, I really liked that place. The people in the hall just walked up to this lady and hugged her. Everyone of them loved her. I tasted their food, and it was very good. It was a special occasion, and it was a buffet. It was a Salisbury Steak, and it was very, very good."

"I have chosen Balfour Senior Living because it's very beautiful. Their staff is very nice. The food is excellent. It's the most beautiful place you'll ever see. There's a saltwater swimming pool. The staff members have been wonderful. They're outstanding."

"Arbor View Senior Living was very aesthetically pleasing. During my visit at their assisted living, I looked at a number of different rooms, but I was looking primarily for a one-bedroom for my parents. I thought that the rooms seemed nice. The staff was very helpful. I had lunch there and the food was quite good. For activities, they were offering crafts and exercise classes. The residents are also able to sign up and go on field trips."

"Brookdale Parkplace looked like a hotel, and I was impressed with the way it looked. That is my choice. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful. Her name, in fact, was Brooke. The place was very acceptable to me. I like the atmosphere, so I really like it. I used to travel a lot in my work, and I used to get to a lot of hotels and motels, and I enjoyed just going around in this one. It brought back some good memories. I really like the hotel atmosphere. Everything was good."

"San Marino Retirement is a very friendly open atmosphere. Most of the residents are very welcoming, and most sit together at lunch and things like that. They're wonderful. They're very caring people. The food is wonderful, too. Our chef came from the Brown Palace. I love the structure of the building. I've got a balcony and great views. There's a fantastic garden outback. Regarding activities, we have a luau this summer, Grandparents Day, happy hour every Friday, and tailgate parties for every home game. There are different sizes of rooms. I have a one-bedroom, and the layout is very comfortable and perfect. And mine is carpeted except for the kitchen."

"We have a friend who lives in MorningStar Senior Living of Arvada. We visited her, and she took us around. It was really lovely. I would say that would be my favorite. They have an indoor pool, which is a nice feature. They really have a lot of spaces where you can do different kinds of activities and or have small parties of your own. Outside of your apartment, there are a lot of spaces where people can gather. Our friend was very happy there. They have a lovely terrace looking over the mountains. They have integrated assisted and independent living. Basically, assisted living apartments are closer to the elevator, so people don't have to go so far. The independent are farther away from the elevators, so people would have to walk farther. They have to be more mobile. That way of organizing is nice because it isn't that stark, like it's a different building, they have integrated activities for assisted and independent living, but I think they have separate dining halls for the two. Our friend really praised the food. They have a Jacuzzi as well. It was really nice because in the winter time if you go swimming, you don't have to go outside with wet hair. It's a really nice feature there, and it is probably why they're quite expensive. They don't really have a courtyard on the ground floor, but they have this nice space upstairs where they have planted plants outside on the roof. There is a space like that outside. Ground floor was mostly parking, and they have some garages. They had a full kitchen, and they had in-apartment laundry."

"Dad is in Brookdale Meridian Englewood. Nursing is good. He seems pretty happy there. There are a lot of amenities. The staff is good. They've been working on the main dining rooms. Upkeep and maintenance seem pretty good. I don't have any qualms with it. It's very expensive. It's like $9,000 a month, but it's cheaper than some of them I looked into."

"We toured Brookdale University Park Colorado. My overall tour experience was excellent. Janelle, the woman who gave the tour, was very thoughtful and a good listener, and very responsive to all the questions that we offered. I checked the dining area. It was very peacefully arranged. I looked at their menus and thought they were very accommodating. The two meals a day were included in the pricing. We looked at a one-bedroom apartment, and I thought that the sizes of the rooms were quite adequate. They only have one style of the one-bedroom apartment, and probably one style for the efficiency apartments. We didn't see an efficiency apartment, but we did see a two-bedroom apartment. The two-bedroom apartments have several different price points. All the rooms seem to be very nicely sized, and you have two bathrooms in each of the two-bedroom apartments. One bathroom had a tub and the other had a shower. What seemed to be the big difference in pricing was the amount of closet space, which increased depending on the square footage. I think their higher level of two bedrooms has two balcony units rather than one balcony. There might be a differential as to just what the orientation of the apartment is, and perhaps the heights in the building. The higher in the building, the more you have a view of the mountains, especially with the west-facing presentation. The only thing that is a little bit problematic is that there's no continuous care option, but the positive side of that is that I think that the general population is younger and more physically active. They are also pet-friendly, and they are very well-maintained. Everything looked well-maintained."

"I have chosen them for my husband. I like that it's more of a home-type setup. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. They made me feel at ease. Activities were going on and it was a more free-moving situation. We saw one-bedroom apartments and they were good. They provided privacy to the individuals, which gives them a level of dignity. We went to the dining room and then there was a TV room and we got to see the outside area. There's a deck with a grill and table and chairs and then there's a garden area and a very large backyard. I was quite impressed with that. I liked it. The facility was quite clean. We saw the memory care and I liked that it was very secure. You couldn't go in and out, and the doors were locked down. Everything worked out as far as my needs, my husband's needs, and location."

"Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge could have been a place for my dad, but they don't have an opening. The facilities were clean, active, and accessible. The rooms were good. The lady who accommodated the tour was very energetic and understanding. They all sat us down in the beginning and gave a talk, and we asked questions. One thing about Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge is they have a very low turnover. Their staff tends to stay there for years. I thought it was going to be a lot more expensive than it was, so I was surprised to see that they were within range of everyone else."

"I was very pleased with Brookdale Tamarac Square. The rooms were excellent. The dining area was very attractive. The upkeep of the facility was outstanding. It looked beautiful. I was very pleased with the tour and the information that I was given. The parking area was excellent. The pool is now closed. They're in the process of getting a new contract to open and evidently renovate the pool."

"I toured Quincy Place. It was nice, clean, and open. The people were friendly. Everyone looked well cared for and like they were enjoying themselves. I looked at three different apartments. The studio was very small, but they all had a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, a sink, and a couple of cupboards. They were doing some renovations, too. The staff who toured me was very nice. She listened to what my needs were. It looked like they could accommodate everything I needed."

"I like everything at Five Star Residences of Dayton Place. It was a gorgeous facility and had everything I would ever want. It was excellent. They had the dining, the housekeeping, and the activities. I was only interested in housekeeping because I'm independent and I can do everything by myself except housekeeping. The staff who gave the tour was very good, too. The dining area was very spacious and clean, and it seemed to have options for things that you wanted to eat. They have a menu that you choose from, so I was very impressed by that. I like the place."
