My parents love Concordia On the Lake. The people, the staff, are very warm, kind, and caring. There are just a lot of activities that the elderly can participate in that they support. There's a senior bus that takes them places. Socially, my parents have met tons of friends. It's just been a positive experience for them and they're wonderful. Even when my brothers, my sisters, and I go to visit them, they know us by name. They say hello. It's just a nice place. They have a bus that will take residents to the grocery store, to the bank, or to run errands but also in the nice weather times, they do a magical mystery tour where they get on the bus and they don't know where they're going. The bus takes them somewhere outside of Denver to look at the mountains or go out to the prairie. Then they take them somewhere to get ice cream and then bring them back to the facility (that's my parents' favorite thing to do). They also take them to shows in downtown Denver, Broadway shows, or to local high schools to see musicals or plays that are going on around the area. They bring in special events during holidays. They have a thing they do where any great-grandkids or grandkids can come over and visit and meet Santa for breakfast. They also do Easter Bunny. There's just a lot of activities that would include the families. They get free housekeeping where a housekeeper comes in once a week and cleans for them.

We toured Concordia on the Lake, and it was satisfactory. It was done efficiently. One of the reasons we weren't too excited about it is that it didn't provide covered parking or a garage-type situation and for that reason, we were leaning towards another facility. Their units are smaller than we want, and all things considered, we're going to put that on the back burner. The staff was friendly, and it was a good location. However, they only had some limited fitness equipment.

Concordia On the Lake has lots of activities and friendly people. The people here are caring, the staff is very caring, and the place where I live is very it's very nice. It has everything you need. All the appliances in my room are very clean and neat and new. They put a rug in and painted it, there's a lot of storage in my apartment, and the living area is good for me. I like that it's very quiet, I don't hear a lot of everybody else. They provide get-in orientation and there are people to help you. The space itself where I am is very bright, and surprisingly, it's more spacious than I thought. The staff is wonderful, they're very helpful and very understanding if I'm asking a million questions. They're just really sweet. My kitchen is nice-sized so I like it. There's a place where they give you a menu, and you can order it and they also deliver. I had their food for the first time yesterday and I liked it. The layout of the facility is kinda connected so you can go through each area of the building. There are exercise programs, and entertainment, you can choose to do on-campus activities, which they have, or take their bus and go off-campus with them for activities. Two nights ago they had an opera singer come and it was a great show.

Be very careful about moving here. My father was asked to leave very unceremoniously, within fifteen minutes (not an exaggeration) of returning home from a stay at rehab. Management never talked to my father, who hasn't lost his mental faculties at all--just told family he'd have to go. He's been gone almost a month now, and no refund of deposits or unused rent. When Dad called about that, they didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Dad really enjoyed living at Concordia, but it's a precarious thing. It may have been time for Dad to go to assisted living, but the way Concordia handled it was heartless at best. So know that one hospital stay and you could be out.

Concordia On the Lake is a beautiful place. The lake is beautiful. The people were very nice and very helpful. They have a variety of costs depending on where your room is and what the view is. They have no meals at all because it's all independent living. They were very professional. We did not tour any of the cottages though.

My mom has moved into Concordia on the Lake. She really likes the place. It is very well kept. The general manager is onsite. It is picturesque because it is right on a lake. It costs less than the other places. They provide activities and they have a couple of shuttles that take the residents to the bank or to the grocery store. Most of the activities are for entertainment purposes. They go to Broadway shows, they take them to casinos, and they take them to all sorts of different types of events. They do not provide meals, but my mom doesn't need meals right now because she is able to take care of herself.

Concordia On the Lake is a very nice community and it's larger. They have more activities and a lot more people. They have a limited number of units that would have the kind of view that I would want to have. The staff who toured us was very nice and helpful and did a good job of showing me the facility. There's a library, exercise facility and a place where you can go watch movies on an oversized TV.

Concordia on the Lake has events in the event center, meals that they get together to eat, and special things happening all of the time. It’s a lot of fun over there, and it has beautiful walking areas along the lake. There are so many positive things. My dad got into card games once a week with the ladies. It’s a nice community, and the people are so nice there. They have a lot of events, like taking them to lunches or dinners and places.

Concordia is in the part of town I’m interested in and sounded very good. They have several shopping trips a month and play exercise games.
