"Serenity House, S. Iola Way was clean and smelled good. They had long-term employees there. They have gardening and a rotating weekly visit from a physical therapist. They do crafts and excursions outside of the home. They had very nicely outfitted bathrooms, and various types of handicap equipment in the rooms, as well as in the bathrooms. They had a big, beautiful deck yard, multiple outdoor spaces, and nice gathering rooms or common areas."

"This is an updated clean very pretty place. It smells nice and my mother loves it. The staff is attentive and kind. She especially enjoys Popcorn day every week. They all know her name and make sure she has what she needs. They take security seriously and she feels safe there. I highly recommend Caley Ridge for your loved one."

She had helpful physical therapy and speech therapy. There are a number of activities that resudents can engage in, according to their abilities and interests. "It was the first one we visited, so it's kind of hard to remember how we would compare it. I would give it a very high rating in every way. We did have a meal there, so I would say a high rating for a meal. There were a big luncheon and people who lived there and became the guides around the building; that was very friendly and very welcoming. It wasn't as staff as we saw in the other two places. The guy lived there and likes it. They had a pool, and they had a schedule of activities. It was a nice experience. It's the newest of these places, so it ought to look good."

"I was so happy to find S&S for my mom. I immediately transferred her from the large, corporate run, facility where she had been for 1.5 years and had been neglected and treated like a non-person. S&S has a positive, home environment and very caring people running it. It truly felt like a family home. The house is very clean and has a welcoming and calm feel to it. They may not have all the "bells and whistles" (like activities directors etc etc) that the larger places "sell" to the elders' family members. What they have is good care and a truly caring environment. They are very responsive and put high priority on communication with family. Once I moved her, I no longer felt scared that my mom's needs were ignored. I knew she was being cared for. S&S was truly a Godsend."
