"Sunny Side living under the direction of Karen has been an incredible blessing to my family. Karen is a very loving and caring person and her concern for the well being of her residents is clearly seen in how well she and all of her family and staff take care of the residents. It is very obvious to see that the staff are inspired by Karen’s leadership and they step up to the task very well. Both my father and Mother moved into Sunny Side. My Father passed away after a few months but my mother continued on as a resident for 2 years before passing away. During these 2 years my family was able to see the incredible level of care provided to my parents and Karen took extraordinary steps to accommodate the needs of my mother and other residents as well. As my mom’s condition and needs changed, Karen would work together with family members to discuss ideas for helping my mom and she listened to family as we presented ideas based on our knowledge of our mom. We were all able to work together as a team knowing we all wanted what was best for my mother. As my mother’s condition declined, Karen and the staff adapted to her needs. Karen and staff took special care to bathe my mom even when it wasn’t easy or convenient. Karen was always looking for ways to make my mother’s situation as good as it can be given the added challenges. Karen made extraordinary efforts to keep my mom from being bedridden knowing that she was a very social person and needed to be with the other people in the house. The extra care was challenging for the staff but Karen knew it was important to my mom and she made it work. Karen and Sunny Side staff would make extra efforts to take my mom and another resident out for walks in the neighborhood when conditions allowed knowing that the outing was therapeutic for them. They would frequently take the residents out onto a deck to enjoy sunshine and a beautiful view of the mountains. The residents thoroughly enjoyed it. Sunny Side living blessed my father by taking him and our family through end of life through a home hospice program and they have done the same thing with other residents as well. Karen her family & staff treated the dying residents with respect and dignity. With the passing of both of my parents, Sunny Side blessed my family with love, support and compassion through a difficult time. Sunny Side is always very clean and very well maintained and there is a focus on cleanliness at the house. The rooms are spacious and there is an abundance of natural lighting that adds to a warm and comfortable feeling in the house. Meals are great and there were times when I was envious of the meals my mother had because they were so good. Karen would spend time with my mom in studying the Bible and having special teaching programs on the TV. When conditions allowed for it, Karen would take my mom to a creative writing class because Karen knew my mom really enjoyed the class and the outing. Wednesdays were a special day when several women friends would visit Sunny Side to have an afternoon of playing games and extra effort was made to include the residents in the game time. My family is profoundly grateful for the way Karen and Sunny Side blessed my parents with such great and loving care and we are so thankful that my parents were able to live out their last days in such an amazing home."

"Collinwood was a very nice place. The rooms were quite large, especially for my mother who is going to have to share a room. The rooms were partitioned instead of curtained off, so it gave the impression of a little bit more privacy. Their buildings were very nice, very well kept, and very clean. The dining room was exceptional and run like a first class restaurant. They have a great, big community kitchen. You could prepare meals in a very high tech kitchen that had seating for at least 20 people. They have a small dining room if you wanted to be with your family, as well as a really nice library, and a place where they gather to watch TV. Their program was really nice. They have a music night where the residents get their instruments out and play music. They also have other musicians come in from the Fort Collins area. They have a book club, movie night, and the common areas outside are just spectacular. They have a great, big open space area with manicured lawns and concrete walkways so that people in wheelchairs or walkers could very easily negotiate that large, open area. There were multiple options to walk around, nice tree canopies, and open areas. The grass was all very nicely groomed and the grounds were taken care of really well. I was really impressed with their menu. The great thing about their dining room was from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night, the residents could come in and sit down at the table and somebody would come and take their order, so they could pretty much eat on demand. The menu was a lot narrower in the off hours, but there was certainly plenty of variety there. The staff was very good, very kind, very informative, and showed me everything that I needed to."

"Brookdale was a nice place with lots of amenities and nice rooms. The staff was very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. The dining area was nice. "

"Mom is in Brookdale North Loveland. The staff is very caring. They are nice to my mom and she likes them. She likes where she is, she feels very comfortable and safe there. The dining area looks very good, and mom never complained about the food there. Mom's apartment has a bedroom, a private bathroom, a small living room, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, but no stove and no microwave. They have several activities to choose from. People would come in with music, and mom would go down for bingo, coloring sessions, and a haircut."

"MorningStar was a very nice, beautiful place. The staff members were nice. They had musical activities and get-togethers, so it looked good. The dining area looked very nice. It was very attractive."

"Brookdale Mariana Butte was a very nice facility. It was very well put together. They had a lot of nice activities. The director lady who took us on a tour was fun. The apartments we toured were newly remodeled, so they were very nice. They had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a stovetop. The staff was very animated and full of energy and positivity. There was also nothing dirty or off-putting about that place."

"We like the workers at Aladdin Assisted Living Center at Keenesburg. The residents are friendly, and the staff seems to be very attentive. My mother-in-law has only good things to say about the food, and she is doing activities with the other residents like Bingo and word search. They provide three meals a day, plus snacks."

"We have found a facility for my mother. She ended up at the assisted living facility of Hover Community (Beatrice Home Assisted Living). They actually have independent living, assisted living, and a nursing home. This facility is actually an old farm that they converted into a senior facility. It is in a beautiful wooded area. I think the director there has a really unique ability to judge the people who have all been good to my mom. Like most of the facilities, sometimes they're short-handed; however, we are confident with this facility. We feel like it is probably the best one we can get for my mom, and we feel good about it. I think this facility, from top to bottom, is a five. The people there are just lovely. They have three full meals a day cooked for their residents. They have most of the activities. They have bingo and little tea parties. They pretty much have the same things I think in most places. They also have a bus that would take people shopping. "

"We went in to see the assisted living at Inglenook at Brighton, where mom would have her own studio apartment. I really liked it. The lady that was in charge was very, very helpful, very friendly, and well receiving. She gave us the information that we needed. We asked a lot of questions, and she answered all of them for us. She took us on a tour to see the studio apartment like we had asked. She had asked us if we wanted a one-bedroom apartment. I told her I thought that would be kind of big for my mom, and I didn't want her to be confused. I really liked the studio apartment. It's a very nice area. Mom would have an area to put her bed, her dresser, and her TV. She'd have a little cooking area there. We told the lady we don't let mom near the stove because we're afraid that she could burn herself. She said that's not a problem. She says, "We would make sure that she gets all the help that she needs." They explained to us the different rates depending on the assistance that they need. I was really impressed with it. It was very clean. There's a lot of people there. They're very sociable and friendly. I think it would be good for mom because that way, she would be able to interact with people her own age. They have a lot of activities that they do for them. She could play bingo, games, or whatever. I think that would be a positive factor for her. I liked the fact that they had a patio door, so mom could walk out to a courtyard or she could sit right outside her door. It really made me happy. I really liked it. The lady in charge was very sweet, very informative, really friendly, and sociable. She made us feel comfortable, and it was the one thing that we really liked. I liked that the studio apartment was close to where the dining area was. Mom wouldn't have a long way to walk, so she wouldn't get confused. The dining area was very clean and really nice. The setup was real nice. We were shown the laundry room. They said that if mom could not do her own laundry, they would be more than happy to do it for her. The laundry facility was clean. The whole place was very clean. I was really impressed with it."

"The only one that has really met my needs is Meadowview because it has two bedrooms and an actual stove, and the food is good. It has two bedrooms, which I absolutely need, and very nice because it has an outside patio, and a kitchenette that has an actual stove. "

"The staff at Life Care Center was very friendly, helpful, and very open to everything. They offer 24-hr care and take care of medications and personal care. My loved one is getting physical therapy every day. "

"For several weeks after breaking my femur, hip and arm in a roller skating accident. The staff including CNA's, nurses, PT's, OT's and the physician were exceptional. The PT's and OT's made sure that I was progressing as rapidly as I could. My care could not have been better. I appreciated the kindness of the CNA's. They were so sweet in trying to meet my needs and make the environment cheerful. What a crew they all are! I was so thankful that we found the Life Care Center. All of the administrative staff were helpful when I needed it! The food was good and the maintenance staff did an excellent job cleaning my room daily. There was nothing more I could have asked for during my rehab!! A++ for sure! "

"I toured Grace Pointe Continuing Care Senior Campus. It looks nice. I just thought it's gonna be a good move. The rooms look like any other one. It's just like the whole package deal. The rooms are nice and bigger, and so is the whole unit. I found the room and found the one I needed to put my husband in, and it was open. This is close to the dining room, so I think it's going to work out."
