"I came to this assisted living home to see my Great Aunt Clara. She is a seventy-year-old resident there and I had never seen the facility she was staying at. I didn't think it would be that great of a place but it was actually quite comforting and cozy. The food was always made fresh and was eaten in formal dining areas, there were many staff members who were always present, there were many activities for the residents to do, and the decor was very friendly. Some of my fears of registering my great aunt into a facility was that she might be lonely with nothing to do; however, she was quite happy and had many friends, all of the staff were exceedingly caring and loving to all the residents. Though, I wasn't very fond of the exercise programs. Some seemed to be slightly too complicated for the residents that were engaged in the activities. However, I was very happy with everything else. My great aunt is especially happy, and that in itself makes me happy. "

"I toured Balfour at Longmont. It's a beautiful facility. It's a very good tour. I saw staff interacting with the residents. The rooms were very small. The place looked very well-kept, clean, and in good condition. The dining area looked beautiful and inviting. The one thing is they're very expensive, and their deposit is unusually high."

"Inglenook at Brighton was about five blocks from where I live. They were polite and pleasant, and they obviously impressed my mother. She liked it, and she is on their waiting list. The rooms were clean and decent sized, but they should improve on their parking space. "

"We visited Good Samaritan Society - Fox Run. It was a little expensive. They only served one meal a day. It was very nice. They have a workout room, a library, a billiard room, a card-playing room, and a crafts room."

"My Mom has been at Grace Pointe for a couple of months so far and I cannot say enough about the helpful and friendly staff and the care they provide. They are a huge credit to their profession and they do an excellent job! "

"We have the most caring and wonderful Manager. Grace works so hard to keep all residents happy. These are low income 480 sq foot apartments. The living space is fine although the kitchens are very small. The outside areas are kept clean and well maintained. The interiors are also kept clean and well organized. My only complaint is I wish we had washers and dryers inside each apartment. Each building has 2 washers and dryers on the second floors. "

"We toured Good Samaritan Society - Bonell Community for my mother. They have a large variety of activities, which she liked, and they have a swimming pool, which she liked too. She figured that just enough activities to keep her occupied. They have a couple of activities that she's interested in. There's mahjong, and hand and foot, and then she liked the in-person training for Tai chi and the exercise classes. They have a big variety of rooms, depending on what you're looking for. She will have a one-bedroom apartment, and it's in a newer wing, which is nice. It has a walk-in shower, and she's happy with that. There's a lot of other choices, like she could have gone into the tower, which is a seven-story building that has balconies, but she decided to go in the single-story building. It looked clean and it appeared that they take care of everything. Since she's not in there yet, I'm not sure if there might be something else, but it appeared that it's well-maintained and there's staff to take care of items that you need. The staff that we've dealt with have been very pleasant and tried to help accommodate anything that she's asked for. She will have an outdoor space and they have a community garden. I don't know if they have private gardens, but I know they have a community garden. We had the comments from other people that food was very good, but I haven't tried it, so I don't know."

"Water Valley Senior Living Resort doesn't have assisted living; they only have independent. It was an absolutely wonderful facility. It is a newer community. It's very nice, it's fresh and it smells good. People there are vibrant. We wanted to move in there as well because it just was great, and that maybe where my mother would go when she comes down to it. The facility was beautiful. The staff was very kind people. They're very friendly and very welcoming. They're interested in their residents. It seemed like they're very well run. I think they really do a good job for what they have there. The apartments' sizes are just right. They have all kinds of things in terms of activities from outings, movies, bowling, painting, etc. There are a lot of things. Food looks good too. "

"The staff was always super nice and seemed to be caring. The facilities in the nursing home reminded me of a hospital, I didn't like visiting. I don't really have another nursing home to compare it to though, so I don't know what it's supposed to be like. The assisted living area was nice though, looked like normal apartments. They would always call us when something was wrong. It was an awful call to get, but I guess what I'm saying is they were on top of everything. The doctors seemed to be knowledgeable and fill my parents in on their opinions of what medicines or surgeries to under take. I'm getting really sad thinking about this, though. Nursing homes in general are horrible. I don't mean that they mistreat people, just the idea of going to a place to die. I really don't know what else to say. It was a clean place, the staff was friendly, looked a little too much like a hospital for my taste. They had a bird cage in the common area where residents could watch TV and play piano, or look at the birds. That's always stuck with me for some reason. Oh, and once a week they would bring in dogs and cats for the residents to pet. That was nice. "

"We just LOVE The Wexford in Loveland, CO! The staff is more than helpful and truly do care about all of the residents. They have the highest of standards and provide 1,2 and and 3 bedroom apartments and offer meals three times daily in an upscale dining area with a private dining hall for residents to entertain their families. There are also numerous daily activities including outings and scheduled trips up to the mountains and about town. The Wexford provides transportation to these events. My grandparents even have a private parking spot and when there are busy activities downtown the staff closes off the parking lot and gives residents passes for their cars and there guests. They also have a library and a computer for residents to use as well as an activity room, a salon and their very own mini mercantile. There is staff on call 24/7 and each room in the apartments is equipped with a 911 pull cord in case of emergencies. We couldnt be more thrilled to have our family here at this fantastic facility! "

"My brother, sister and I have found the Good Samaritan Ft Collins Village, to be the perfect choice for our mother. She constantly tells us about the wonderful staff that stop by several times a day and how happy she is living in community. Moving mom into the facility we were unaware of all her care needs, but after a few weeks, it became evident she needed her medications administered, more assistance walking and bathing, and healthy meals regularly. The nurses/staff contacted us and addressed the concerns they had and "we" decided on a plan that best suited mom. All in an effort to keep her safe and independent as possible. We so appreciate the Christian love that permeates the campus and decisions made. News letters, Covid19 updates, emails and phone calls keeps us informed and feeling secure about mom's wellbeing. "Hover Manor Senior Apartments were OK. The rooms were alright, but I didn’t particularly like the meal plan. The price wasn’t bad, and the location was OK. "

"We found a perfect apartment at AltaVita Independent Living. Unfortunately, it's leased and the people looked very healthy. I don't think they're going to be leaving very quickly. AltaVita would fit our needs, but we're not quite ready for even that less of care. It's very independent living. I have a friend who lives there, and I thought that would be swell because I could just go to her room to borrow books and stuff instead of driving down. Just everything about it was more modern, neater and more fitting to us. It's geared down that when you're through with the real independent living, you could go down to one with a little more care. The third one is where you really need a lot of care. It's very close to the airport which thrilled me because my brother flew an airplane in and out of that airport. It's close to a market that you could walk to. They had all kinds of transportation available if you needed it. It had everything the other place had. There maybe was a little more, and it was a little nicer. If I was ready, I would go there. They have lots of activities."
