My friend and I decided to take a look at the Windsor Good Samaritan Resort and my husband decided to go along. We had a wonderful tour, including looking at several configurations available. Since I like to cook and my husband likes to eat, we found an apartment that had a large kitchen, two bathrooms, plus living area and office area. Much to my surprise, he said he felt like we were at a Marriott and had a suite! And we signed for that apartment. We have been here almost three years, and are happy with the apartment. The best part of our life here are the wonderful staff! They are very caring, helpful and friendly..more like an extended family. The apartment is nice but the best reason for choosing this facility isthe staff!!

I toured Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort. The thing I liked the most was that they had a big rec room as you walked in and toward the back of that there was a pool and it was just beautiful. There were also activities occurring while we were there. They're having a birthday party or some sort of a party off to the side. We went to see the rooms or the apartments, and they were nice, clean, and beautiful. I noticed when I looked out that there were small little garden spaces that you could rent or utilize. I like that. The golf course was pretty close, and so it had a lot of appeal. They can't improve it because of the way it's laid out. It's got long halls to get to the apartments, and in that case, that's pretty hotel-ish, but that wasn't a negative. It's just the layout. If you're a senior and walk in it, it's a pretty long walk in the halls, but it wasn't awful. You could use that as a way to get some exercise too. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable about the building, the facility, and the area. She was just helpful.

I toured the Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort. For my family, the deciding factor was that they had three meals a day versus two meals a day. They had a full kitchen in their unit versus a kitchenette. They have multiple floor plans. The other thing about it is they have washers and dryers inside the unit as well. I think the one that we looked was their lowest priced, because that was the only one they had available to show us. That was just a basic apartment you walked in. There was a kitchen, a living room in the middle, and a bedroom . So there's a bedroom to the right and a bedroom to the left. Another thing that we looked at is some of the independent living facilities had regular bathtubs in them, where you would have to step over the side of a bathtub to take your shower. I don't know what kind of people they have in their facilities, but my parents are beyond the point of being able to lift their legs over the side of a bathtub. So that was also another deciding factor. I know they're super busy and the salesperson is not as responsive as some of the other facilities but of course, she probably doesn't feel like she needs to be very hospitable because they have a waiting list. It's got beautiful views and it's got all the other activities that all the other independent living facilities have. They're not hurting at all. Their prices are not much more expensive than any of the other facilities either.

We liked Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort because the apartments were nice. The staff that we met with were pretty plugged into the residents. It's bigger and that was a bit of an issue for my mom. She came from a small town and she liked a smaller community better. The living spaces had a few more bells and whistles. It was nice. They also had a continuum of care. The staff was pretty in tune with the residents and there are more of them, so it's kind of impressive that they knew that many of them. They had good transportation but they were more limited to medical. They had a lot of different things going on for enrichment. They didn't have a fully staffed wellness place for people to do different exercises, but they had a lot of engaging activities for the residents to be participate in. They had a salon and a little fitness center. The residents have access to golf carts and can go golf at a reduced rate. They had a lot of really nice things.

My mom is moving into Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort. It is a nice place with a lot of amenities. We picked them more or less because it is in a town she lives in. She is familiar with it. We all live there, and the pricing is really not much different. They have a church, a store, a membership to a country club (where you get a free golf club rental), transportation, games, activities, and things like that. We toured both because everything is in the same building.

My mom moved into Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort. It's brand new, Mom is one of the first residents, she moved in during all this COVID mess, so I don't get in there. It looked nice, but we barely even got to visit it because of the restrictions, but her room is very comfortable, and she seems very happy. I think the staff is fine. She doesn't complain about the food, so it must be good. They're hoping to open up the dining room. I think it's a very nice, brand new facility, they've kept their landscaping up outside, and I think they're trying very hard to keep it looking very nice.

My in-laws are already settled in Good Samaritan Society-Water Valley Senior Living. The place is very nice. The staff is very nice too. They are friendly, and knowledgeable. They layout is centralized, and it has a really big impact when you walk in. It is the one that they really like.

The one that I saw was Good Samaritan here in Colorado. Very helpful staff, very informative, and the facility itself was gorgeous. Great rooms -- the apartment rooms themselves as well as sitting rooms -- and the dining room just had pretty much everything that my mother wanted. There were cards, games, sewing, crocheting, outings, and all kinds of entertainment options. I think my mom would be comfortable there.

Water Valley is a beautiful place. We couldn't get in right away, but they thought there would be one available. The rooms are very big, and they're very beautiful. Everything about it was very nice. It's a very nice community.

Water Valley Senior Living Resort doesn't have assisted living; they only have independent. It was an absolutely wonderful facility. It is a newer community. It's very nice, it's fresh and it smells good. People there are vibrant. We wanted to move in there as well because it just was great, and that maybe where my mother would go when she comes down to it. The facility was beautiful. The staff was very kind people. They're very friendly and very welcoming. They're interested in their residents. It seemed like they're very well run. I think they really do a good job for what they have there. The apartments' sizes are just right. They have all kinds of things in terms of activities from outings, movies, bowling, painting, etc. There are a lot of things. Food looks good too.
