I lived in Parkwood Estates around 2-1/2 years ago. It's a nice-looking building and a lot of trees around it. It's not too soundproof between the apartments, and they tried to mix Mexican and Southwest dishes a lot. It's not New England cuisine or Southern cuisine. I don't care for Mexican food, and they use a lot of foreign names that describe dishes. It's like if you would get in a Mexican place and 90% of the people don't know what the taco's about, and that was the biggest problem. The staff was nice and the housekeeping people. They have a library, pool room, a little gym, and salon. I think it's a 40-year old building, but it's very fireproof, so that was good.

We toured Parkwood Estates. I liked that place. The room that I looked at was good-sized. It's got a refrigerator, which I thought was a plus considering that they feed their clients. You get to do a lot of stuff with seniors. The staff showed me the area where they do their concerts. She showed me the area where my brother could go work out or he could get on the computer. They have two listings, one of them is what you get every day, and the other one is the daily activities, which I thought was good because it gives them an option and a choice. I was impressed. The staff was so friendly and willing to show their amenities, trying to help me convince my brother that that was the right place. So, I thought that was awesome. The facility wasn't big, but at least enough to keep a person healthy. They have good equipment to get a person that needs to be strong again. It was a very clean area.

I like Parkwood Estates. I was pretty impressed when I toured the facility. I would give cleanliness a five. It's a nice campus and I like the ambiance. The staff was very kind, courteous, and professional.

I had an in-person tour of Parkwood Estates. There is a lot of activity, which is nice. We had lunch, and it was very good. What I liked least is that they can't cook on their own, so there's no stove in the rooms. The staff did a very good job of explaining everything to us. The staff was very nice. The food was tasty. The salad was a little wilted, but overall it was good. The cleanliness was good. It wasn't great. The facility is very aged and needs major upgrades. We just looked at the studio apartments, and they were adequate and decent.

We went to Parkwood Estates. It's a beautiful community with lots of nice trees. And it's just a very well-laid-out property. We liked the unit that we looked at for my mom because it would suit her very well in the location that it is in, the community. And she just loved everything about it. The lady who gave us the tour was very informative. She was wonderful.

It was pretty nice. I thought they had a lot of good stuff available for their residents. They seemed to have a pretty good layout as far as everything goes. Everything was pretty clean. They have three restaurant-style meals. They have specials and an a la carte menu. The staff members were very friendly. They seemed to know the residents' names and personal details about the people and their families. So, it had a pretty homey atmosphere to it.

We went to Parkwood Estates. I liked the rooms. The grounds were very nice. They didn't seem to have very many things for the people staying there to do. The kitchens were kind of lacking. They just had a tiny little refrigerator in there, and there wasn't very much counter space. They're just very small. What they could improve on is, I think, they could put a full-size kitchen sink, a full-size refrigerator, more cabinets, and more counterspace in there. The staff who assisted me was wonderful. The facilities were very good. There's a shopping area about two blocks away.

I went to Parkwood Estates a month ago. It was nice. They have one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments, a salon, and ride sharing.

I thought Parkwood Estates was good, and the staff members that I met seemed fine. The rooms there were adequate. They had also invited me to go back there. In terms of activities and amenities, they have several things going.

My dad lived at Parkwood Estates for about a year. They would provide meals, housekeeping, and if you wanted to have a PT or OT, they had in-house folks available. They had daily activities, like light or gentle exercises and guest speakers who come in to talk about books or history once a week.

My mom was in Parkwood Estates. It is totally independent and didn’t do anything with the residents. They had meals with them, but they didn’t go get them for activities. They’re on their own there, but my mom has too much dementia. The location and the facility itself were nice.
