"Keystone Place is where we will go if they had a space. My first impression was how big it was. It is a huge place, but it is too expensive. It is way too much money. They were going to setup a meal, but we never got the chance. But for the service that you get, it isn't all that expensive. It is a little over the top, but as time goes on with us, it's going to get expensive anyway, so it really doesn't matter. They have some two bedrooms, but most of them are one-bedrooms which are adequate. "

"I liked Lakewood Estates, they're just farther away. The staff was professional, very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. They have laundry facilities, rooms for doing activities and for special gatherings, a library, very nice amenities, and lots of activities. They offer transportation to anywhere within a 15-mile radius, for doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and things like that. There"

"I toured Lakewood Reserve. It's a standard-type facility. They have security there and secured rooms. They have a good place for them to eat and they have some different types of activities to keep people busy. They have 24/7 nursing care. Everything I saw indicated that it was very clean. As far as the atmosphere, it seemed like it was a good place. There were people in the activity room and in some other areas, and everybody seemed satisfied with what they were doing. Kim showed me around. She's knowledgeable about it and understands what people need and when they're looking for things. Everything she was telling me was upfront and she showed me good things."

"Sunrise at FlatIrons might be out of our price range, but it was good. We had a nice tour. When you walked in, it looked like a very nice hotel. They had a nice dining hall, lots of social areas, a movie theater, game rooms, big art rooms, and exercise rooms. The apartment itself was huge. It was 700 square feet so there was lots of room. It had a kitchen with a fridge and a stove and a couple of closets for clothes. It was a nice place. It was very clean and very well-kept. We walked by an exercise class that was well-attended. There were probably 10 to 15 residents. They gave us a schedule as we were leaving about all of the activities for the upcoming week, which looked great. They had multiple card games, movies every night, Bible studies, and church services (both non-denominational and Catholic) It looked like a very active community. Georgia was great. She answered all of our questions and walked us through everything. She explained the different levels of care, walked through the different costs, and explained the meal plan to us. She was wonderful."

"We found Brookdale Meridian Lakewood for Mom, and she’s moving in today, but so far, we’re very pleased. The staff was very helpful, and the community was very nice, appeared to be well-maintained, and pleasant. The food was OK, but it wasn’t as good as I hoped it should be. We had two meals there. The first one was underseasoned, and the second one was overseasoned. My mother enjoyed her meals, so that was important. The dining area was nice with a little fireplace that was nice and quiet, and overlooked a little patio. Their activities appeared to be a very good match for her, and the thing she liked to do. It’s an older facility, some settling of the building was obvious, but it seemed a solid building, and it appeared to be well maintained."

" Hi my mom lives here at Parkplace and I have to say , number one — that her apartment is beautiful and that the people who work there are wonderful people. I do think that Brookdale has been going downhill. Some of the things that they have taken away in the last 3 1/2 years since my folks have been there. I have to say the food is hit or miss and that it would be lovely if they would bring back the omelette bar on weekends. It would be nice if they would replace and fix some of the wonderful benches that are outside instead of just removing them. I would like to see some consistency. my mom says that the cleaning services will be changed and right now she has someone that she trusts and is used to at a given date, whocomes and helps her once A week. she doesn’t need to have that changed or to have a variable schedule. All in all, again the people are fabulous!! The people who run it are fabulous. The people who work there are fabulous. They are caring and they do a really good job but I feel that Brookdale The main governing body, is not the greatest at using their money appropriately for as much as people are paying to live there. The programs are wonderful the speakers they have that come in. They have a beautiful pool and they have a beautiful dining room. There is a company called I think it’s called specialized living and those people are amazing and they are available to hire. sometimes I’m very disappointed to hear of some of the changes like no more white breast meat ever at dinner, broken water sprinklers in the front gardens. Also I had some experience with memory care two years ago and even though the independent living and assisted living was wonderful at Parkplace the memory care for my experience was dreadful. Maybe some people have really a good time there but my father had a really hard time and the decisions that were made were inappropriate and hurt him. thank you sincerely gunni gal "

"They were very helpful showed me the different apartments that were available. The apartment was very clean and spacious. laundry room in a convenient location, served 3 meals a day and very pleasant. "

"The Lodge at Balfour Senior Living was excellent. The coordinator was absolutely wonderful. It's clean and it was exactly what we were looking for. There's graduated care, and it's a big campus. The skilled nursing and assisted living are in one building, and across the street are eight or ten duplexes. We liked that the cottages were between 1,200 and 1,300 square feet. There were two cottages to a duplex. They were nice, airy, and big enough, but it's too far away from where we are right now. It's the best facility we looked at."

"We live in Brookdale University Park. They sent us a brochure and it was very clear that they were protecting people against COVID-19. I know the neighborhood there from when I was younger, and I like it. The staff members are very cheerful and very helpful. Our apartment is very comfortable, and it's large enough for two of us. They have bingo, they have sitting exercises for the assisted living people, they have movies, they have the walking club, and they have crossword puzzles. They have quite a few things that they've opened up. This was the only one we looked at and we were very taken with it, so we moved in here."

"The Meridian was very nice. The staff seemed very knowledgeable, and I think they were well staffed. They were very helpful, and they answered all my questions. They had several dining areas. The rooms were very nice and adequate in size. They have a variety of activities, and they have a library. "
