I liked Brookdale Meridian Englewood pretty well. We had a big apartment there. It was about 1100 square feet. We stayed in the independent living, and their food was pretty good.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood is a little more modern. They will charge you $95 a month more for parking inside, which I didn't like, and I had a problem with the washers. The staff is pretty good, though. The facility was alright. The hallways were maybe four feet. It has lots of rooms.

The caregivers at Brookdale Meridian Englewood were amazing. The physical therapist was amazing, too, but anyone beyond them was struggling. They would only do housekeeping once every two weeks. So, they would only empty my mother's trash, clean her bathroom and kitchenette once every two weeks. When you are a senior and you have spills and you have trips and you have things that need cleaning, once every two weeks is not sufficient. Also, their charges were way too high for the level of attention that they gave. There were activities inside the facility, as well as tours outside the facility. My mother was never well enough to take a tour outside of the facility, but she would participate in the activities inside the facility whenever she felt well enough. The care staff tried hard to engage her in those activities. We were not very pleased with the upper management. I give the caregiving staff and the physical therapist a five rating, while the upper management a one. Their upper management should be more involved with the residents. Their food was mediocre. They need to have more tasty food and more appealing plates. It was just slopped on the plate a lot of times. Another thing was they only had two elevators, and it seemed like one was always broken. The residents had to go to different floors to eat and to participate in activities, and the stairs were not an option when people were using a walker. Their water was awful. Their hot water was orange. They did not allow the residents to drink the water out of the tap. They brought in big bottles of water that the residents would have to go down the hall to fill their glasses or their cups with.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood is one of those where whatever they need help with, there's an extra charge, and it's in the hundreds of dollars. It's a lovely place but they're private pay. They don't work with Medicare and that's huge. My mother was there up until 2 or 3 weeks ago. She was in the skilled nursing part. My mother has some dementia and she couldn't remember to push the button to call for somebody, and they kept telling her to push the button when she needed somebody. The only time it got pushed was if I was there and then it could be quite a long wait if I needed somebody to help my mom. I think they're understaffed. The people themselves were fine and they were very good. It's just the way it was run. The food looked great. The facility looked very nice. My mother might have done an activity once, but as far as I know, they did very little in that regard for her. It's extremely expensive and I was misled as to how long she could probably be there.

I will be moving into Brookdale Meridian Englewood. I like the location. It's in Englewood and I love my apartment. It looks like it's gonna be good. They painted it and put in stainless steel stuff in the kitchen and all new carpeting. We have three meals a day. There's a continuum of care, from independent to assisted to memory care to nursing care. They seem to have a lot of activities. Some people there play mahjong and I play mahjong, so I'm gonna be happy to find someone that plays mahjong. They are gonna have art classes. I'm a painter. They have all kinds of activities that I'm interested in. It seemed to be very clean.

The people at Brookdale Meridian Englewood were very, very helpful and very caring. You could tell that by just watching how they took care of their current residents. The place was very clean, and we looked at assisted living. They had balconies. It was very nice. I looked at a one-bedroom, and it was a nice size. It was not too big, but it was inadequate.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood is a nine story-building and mom would have been on the fourth floor, which would have been a negative for us, and the location was not in the best section of town. Although it was a well-kept building, it was an older building. They had a kitchenette and I was impressed with that. The linens were done in communal, which I don't like for my mom, and they wouldn't take Medicaid. Antoinette was very good though. She could answer most of the questions I had. She knew the facility quite well. Once a week a podiatrist comes in while dental is scheduled. My sister, my mother, and I all had lunch there, and the food was kind of bland for us. It wasn't for my palate, but I think they have to have bland food. We were not given a beverage, just water, and no ice in it. I noticed that there was not a lot of interaction in the dining room. People came in and looked at us. We asked to be put in the corner and we watched the people coming in. Some would look at us and walk on, but there was one lady who was kind of nice to talk to me. I thanked her for talking to me and she said she liked it there.

We put a down payment on Brookdale Meridian Englewood. The place was in the realm of what my father's plan covered, so we decided to go for it. It was a very nice place. The woman that we met with was very patient, and kind, and was able to answer all sorts of questions that we had. We found that they had a nice variety of activities that are particularly something my dad would be interested in.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood was fabulous. I wish I had the money to put my parents there. Everybody was wonderful and friendly. I would love to put my parents there. It's close to me. I only met two people, but they were nice and helpful. I saw the suite that they had, and it was lovely.

My in-laws moved into Brookdale Meridian Englewood a week ago. It was in a perfect location and at a great price. Their customer service for move-in was great, and they have been very friendly and helpful to our parents. The staff have been extremely helpful and supportive in moving in. My parents are very happy. Everything seems to be very convenient, and they offer quite a variety of options. I think they have the usual amenities, but the facility is very nice, and they have lots of different spaces and options for the residents to use. They have a courtyard. Mom and dad's apartment is on the first floor, and this is one of the reasons we picked them because they're on the first floor. They don't have to contend with the elevator, and they have a huge patio. It's awesome. We got a bit of a move-in special and for the square footage, and what they have there, I realize that it's not as new of a building as some of the other facilities that we looked at. But for what we get, it's a much better value.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood is very good and they are nice. But their doctors are a little too laid back; they're a little too relaxed. The doctor decided all of a sudden that my husband needed therapy, and I'm not happy about that. My husband has been in the memory care there for over a month, and now that I want to move him, the doctor decides that he needs therapy. So he finally just started rehab today. They do exercise, they have music for them, they have a few games, they paint, and they do all kinds of stuff. The staff is very good. Not that I asked for it, but they gave me soup, and it tasted very good. They have music, and they do all kinds of paintings. I was impressed with how good they are. The value for the money is a little high.

My mother-in-law was very happy in the independent living (1st floor) section of the Brookdale Meridian. But when she moved into the Assisted Living (4th floor) section, the nightmare started. The caretakers were negligent and uncommunicative. It took them TWO WEEKS to diagnose a UTI after we sent urgent messages asking that she be tested. They then moved her to the memory ward based on her erratic behavior (caused by UTI) where she was charged nearly $300/day in addition to the monthly rent for her fourth floor apartment. Their communication with us as family members (with Power of attorney) was nearly nonexistent. We were dismissed and she was neglected at every turn. DO NOT allow your loved ones to get sucked into this facility. It is no better than a very expensive storage facility for old people. Look elsewhere!!!

My father has been here for the last few months. He has been in 4 facilities in the past 9 months. The level of care and the responsiveness of the staff at Meridian has been outstanding. The are making his remaining time as pleasant as possible! I cant say enough about the care he is getting!

They’ve been bought by a much larger corporation and are going through a major reorganization. My parent lives here. I wouldn’t recommend it now. Good staff have left, and in general it seems understaffed and underserviced. Residents think the food is pretty mediocre.

Brookdale Meridian Englewood seemed really clean, and the people were friendly. I liked the location, its close to my house. It seemed like they had a lot of activities, chat rooms, and puzzles. I think the original plan was one meal a day, and you can get more. Its expensive.

This is a great community that is active and well maintained. I have a grandfather that lived here and would recommend it to others. Staff is all been there a long time and was very responsive to when care needs changed. I appreciated having the multiple levels of care all in the same community which you don't find in many others. They offer, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care there - my grandfather utilized several of them over the time he was there. Apartments are larger then most other communities we toured and the cost was less the a lot that we viewed. He wasn't super social, but there was always things going on - he did love the food. Happy with our choice of this community!!

My grandfather was there for care in the last year of his life. I cannot say enough about this facility. Clean, beautifully managed, and a staff of exceptionally professional and caring individuals. I recommend it without reservation. If you want your loved one to be superbly cared for, this is the right place.

We like the locale at Brookdale Meridian, and the amenities were fine. The rooms were fine and didn’t look crowded. The bathrooms were bigger. I have a friend that is in Meridian, and she was very happy.

Almost everything at Brookdale Meridian Englewood is very nice. The staff is friendly, patient, and caring. My dad is in a room with a roommate, which is very clean and very nice. They have lots of activities. They have singers and children that come and visit, question and answer games, television programs, and basketball games. They also have very unique amenities, and they go on a bus ride on Wednesdays. They are close to the freeways, so they can go up to the mountains very quickly for about 1 hour or 1 ½ hours.

My parents are in Brookdale (Meridian Englewood). It is clean and has all of the amenities that they need in one place; that’s what I love about it. The staff’s working attitude is good. The apartments are cute but really expensive here in Colorado. The dining set up is nice and restaurant-style. They have lots of activities, a movie theater, a game room, a library, and a bus to bring people where they need to go.

We had a tour at Brookdale Meridian Englewood. It's a beautiful place, but I just didn’t feel like it was a good fit for my parents. I would have placed my parents here if not for religious preferences. They have a community room and a bus that takes the citizens out. They have an outdoor area for barbecues and social activities, and several card and game rooms. They also have lectures on different topics. There was a wide variety of activities, so if someone was looking for things to do, they have it there.

We were pleased with The Meridian (Englewood). It was clean, quite a lot of staff, very friendly, and more within our budget. It was not as new as the other place, but it was renovated, and it did look very nice. We saw a couple of apartments, and they were fairly spacious and comfortable. It was well decorated, comfortable, and smelled very wonderful. A couple of the residents told us they enjoyed the food very much. There were one-bedroom and two-bedrooms available on one floor, which was a full-time nursing facility, and those were shared rooms. They had movie nights, sing alongs, some activities, and transportation to the grocery store, to the library, and other specific events. It was a very good option.

I liked the Meridian, but they did not have the heart healthcare in place, which my husband needs. He's had four heart attacks, and they did not have that level of healthcare. They have healthcare, but they do not have qualified nurses for it. He doesn't need it all the time, but when he has his heart attack, he has to have somebody who knows what they're doing. The staff was all very good. We liked Meridien the best, but it did not have the one thing that we needed the most.

We really like The Meridian (Englewood). We got to meet a lot of residents there. We just really like the activity that was going on. We like the facility itself. We looked at some rooms there and just felt that it had a great feeling of an assisted care facility. There were so many activities. They were getting to do a piano show at that time. We also witnessed games. We saw a lot of physical therapy going on. We saw some of the residents down in the library putting together a puzzle, and they were having a lot of fun doing that. They also had a snack bar area. It just felt really good.

The one that I would give serious consideration to was The Meridian. It seemed to be reasonable. It didn't seem to have a lot of extra charges for the things I wouldn't use. The rooms were nice. You didn't have to eat every meal. They had a library and a reading room. The location was good. It was close to shopping and stores.

My mom liked The Meridian because there were more active people in it. She likes being in one building and just going to different floors as opposed to going outside in the winter. In her previous facility, when she wanted to go to extra things, she had to leave the building because there were 4 buildings. She likes all of the staff. They're just very friendly and very helpful if she needs something. It's not apartment like. She has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The dining room was really wonderful, and the food was nicely portioned -- just adequate and very well fixed. It was a great meal when we ate there. It's a lot closer to my brother who lives in Littleton. He's 10 minutes from mom, so if she needs any help or anything, he can get over there quickly. She's happier because there are more people that are active, so she's liking that a lot.

Meridian is affordable, clean, and the food is good. The staff is wonderful and the people there are kind. They have activities, and my parents are going to church every Sunday. They’re going to concerts, meeting friends, and they never eat alone. There is somebody assigned to clean their house once a week, and they get their towels washed, and they’re very happy. The staff is very sweet. They love the kitchen and love going down to eat. We couldn’t ask for more, and my parents are living in a fancy hotel, literally. I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth, and the prices are right. They have nine different rooms and we found one that was perfect for us. I just couldn’t be happier. I hope we can stay there for the rest of their life.

We looked at the Meridian, and I thought it was very nice. It was a little bit older, but it had a lot of different floor plans, and they were very nice. The people were very nice. We talked to people who had been there for about 25 years, and they loved it still. They had a game room, movie theater room, and they do movies every night. They go on outings. They had happy hour. It was our second choice. It just didn't work because of its location. It was just a little too far.

The Meridian was very good. The only thing is Leonard is only 53, and with them, it's mainly elderly. The average age, they said, was about 85, and so Leonard had a problem with that, plus he didn't get his own room. He had to share a room. Those were the two reasons why we didn't go for it. It was very clean. Everyone was attentive and friendly. They had all kinds of activities. We went there on a Sunday morning, and they have a café down there at the bottom or on the main level that they were doing brunch for the clients. There were a lot of people going in for the brunch. It was socially oriented for Leonard. The food smelled good, and it sounded appetizing. It was very nice for seniors.

The Meridian was super. It's 100% top notch. They gave us a tour, they made us feel at home, they served us cookies and water, and they showed a couple of units, including a beauty salon. They're very pleasant people. The place was very clean and very modern. I had no complaints. That place was awesome. It was a Taj Mahal. The rooms are great, and they had a good selection. From what I saw, there was a lot of interaction going on between tenants. I wish it was in my mom's price range, though. That's where I want to put her. But they said that they take no government subsidies. Mom is on a very limited income.

I was looking for a place for my aunt who's going blind. So I was looking for a place where I could get to her and take her where she needed to go and be with her. I'm just outside of Englewood. I like the fact that Meridian was very close to where I live. They were very nice and very cordial. I was really pleased with them. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The rooms were lovely. They have a 2-bedroom that I like. But they tell me they're remodeling, and I'm sure they have by this time. It's probably even more lovely than it was then. The apartments were very pretty and nice. It was reasonably priced. I know some people who live in Meridian. They're very happy there. It was a charming place.

I have had the pleasure to work with Englewood Meridian on several occasions over the past few years and all our clients speak very highly of the community they live in. I think the most talked about is the Dining services at Englewood Meridian. I actually was sharing lunch with a client and the chef came out personally to see how everyone was liking the meal. I certainly enjoyed my lunch that day. The staff was so professional and attentive, I felt like I was in a nice restaurant . We have taken care of clients in all Levels at the Meridian. They have independent memory care and skilled care all in one building. I like that a lot about Englewood Meridian. Once you move in you never have to move out. Just kudos to everyone that works there!

I cannot begin to express how happy we are with My Mother in law living independently at The Meridian. She moved into the apartments January 2013. She is so involved, more than she was living in her own town home. She now attends many of the exercise classes offered. She also works in the store a few hours a week. She has most recently become her floor ambassador! This is where they welcome new residents and meet with them in the dining room for dinner and introduce them around. The employees know all the residents by name. We also have someone come in daily to make sure she is taking her medication and that her portable oxygen is refilled and working properly. I was worried because she doesn't drive anymore. She now has her hair and nails done at the Salon on premise and is happier than ever. It is a big social hour in there:) The bus takes groups of people places. She has even hired the car to drive her to appts we weren't available to get her too. Next week the bus is taking them to museum to see the Exhibit Passport to Paris! What a fine choice we made in Choosing Meridian!

I would be leary of this facility. The only reason I state this is because of the Nursing Services Director. Although she speaks in an eloquent manner, her background and experience show otherwise. She had ZERO experience in administrative aptitude and her license shows nothing but 19 years experience as a CNA and she was dismissed from both leadership positions previously held. I removed my loved one after one conversation with her!

The Meridian is a first-class senior living community. Located near Swedish and Porter Hospitals in Englewood, Co. A large, third floor hospital care is available to residents who are able to dress themselves and sit for meals in the multiple dining rooms. Residents with early stage Alzheimers are accepted. Peaks, a nursing care facility in the building, delivers resident's meds and does light housework for a contracted fee. Peaks uses Omnicare of Golden, not Medicare, as its medical provider. A beautiful, newly redecorated dining room is available on main floor featuring a multi-talented chef.
