"It was a nice place. I liked it. It was good, friendly, homey, and comfortable. The staff and residents were very friendly. The rooms seemed nice, and the food was delicious. They had art classes, library, cards, and tai chi classes."

"I was very pleased with Brookdale Tamarac Square. The rooms were excellent. The dining area was very attractive. The upkeep of the facility was outstanding. It looked beautiful. I was very pleased with the tour and the information that I was given. The parking area was excellent. The pool is now closed. They're in the process of getting a new contract to open and evidently renovate the pool."

"I toured Quincy Place, and I thought it was nice. The people seemed friendly, and it seemed like a location where you will be able to reach your person and get to them easily. You want the place to be centrally located, but you don’t want it to be so centrally located that it is hard to get to. Like there was one that was really difficult to navigate, which makes it hard when you are driving and trying to visit your person in your limited amount of time. But I didn’t find that with Quincy Place because it was conveniently located. "

"I liked the Lakewood Reserve. It was very nice. The only reason that I didn't choose them is because they are farther away from me. There was a lot of residents that were out visiting, playing cards, sitting in the cafeteria, and having a snack with family members. We talked to a couple of family members and the residents and they were all very happy. I really, really liked it. The staff during the tour was very, very good, very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. They offered a gym, a salon, a private dining room, and a courtyard. It's in a neighborhood and the view is kind of important for my mom. She likes to look outside, and there wasn't much of a view, but it's a very nice facility. I would definitely recommend them."

"We liked it very much and that's probably where we'll wind up when the time comes. The people were very, very friendly. They were willing to work with you, they have excellent customer service, and they seem to care. We tried the food there and it was excellent. The whole place was very clean, and very nice, and had access to everything. They were wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant. Nothing is ever perfect, so we're not giving them the highest rating just yet."

"What I like best is the cleanliness, and the spirit within the community. Everybody is happy. The staff is wonderful. The grounds and the building are very nice. When my husband and I first moved in, we had a huge apartment and found that it was too big for us, so we just moved into a smaller apartment. There are more than enough activities for us. They have everything from in-house to tours and excursions. I would certainly recommend this place to others."

"Gardens Care Senior Living-Homestead was a very nice facility. What I liked about it was that it was small. It seemed like a clean facility. Everything that we saw looked very good, in good shape and clean. The guy that gave us the tour was very nice. He answered all of our questions. We were pleased with the facility and the tour. I think they have studio and one-bedroom apartments. They quoted us a price that would include the room and three meals a day. They have one-bedroom cottages and two-bedroom cottages. They showed us one of the two-bedroom cottages, and those were very nice."

"I was basically impressed with the staff of Lakewood Estates. The rooms were very nice. They had a swimming pool and two big garages. "

"Parkside Village Retirement Resort was updated and beautiful. It's very nicely decorated. It's newer. They have open hallways, and they have a theater for movies. They have a beautiful theater setting. The dining area was okay. I wasn't as impressed with the dining room. There are pros and cons to everything. The main reason that I chose not to go there was the lack of accommodation for gluten-free meals, and I need to be gluten-free. But it was a beautiful facility. The staff who toured me around was fine. I had no problem with anybody."

"V-Esprit was a great community. They showed me the one- and two-bedroom apartmetns, and cottage homes, and all of them were nice and comparable to other places. They had a ton of stuff, transportation, and a little golf cart so they can move you around on the grounds if they need to. They also had an activities center in the building, a swimming pool, library, and a movie theater. It goes on and on like a little city. The staff member, Peter, and the receptionist were great. On the receptionist's desk, they had a list of people who were visiting that day. The first thing I saw was "Hello Marietta" on a big sign, which was kind of cute. They also had a tenant who just moved in greeting people as you came in and telling you about her experience there. That was different from the other places. They had a cafeteria or restaurant on site."

"We looked at the one-bedroom independent living apartments in San Marino Retirement for my brother. They were bigger than the studios and very nice. The whole place was very nice. They had a place for activities, and they go to museums and on field trips. They had different levels of care, like assisted living and skilled nursing, aside from independent living. My brother could furnish his own apartment, and the three meals were included in the price, which was definitely reasonable. My husband and I liked their patio homes, and we could have our dog there. It's a large place with a variety of things. The staff was very friendly, helpful with the residents, and seemed very happy. They offered us lunch, and the food looked very good. "

"I have chosen them for my husband. I like that it's more of a home-type setup. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. They made me feel at ease. Activities were going on and it was a more free-moving situation. We saw one-bedroom apartments and they were good. They provided privacy to the individuals, which gives them a level of dignity. We went to the dining room and then there was a TV room and we got to see the outside area. There's a deck with a grill and table and chairs and then there's a garden area and a very large backyard. I was quite impressed with that. I liked it. The facility was quite clean. We saw the memory care and I liked that it was very secure. You couldn't go in and out, and the doors were locked down. Everything worked out as far as my needs, my husband's needs, and location."

"The thing that I liked best about Arbor View Senior Living was the buildings sit on a large park-like area. They have 13 acres, and more or less the facilities are in the center of that. So when you look out of any window, what you're looking out at are grass and trees for the most part. It has a nice feeling of spaciousness. And if somebody lived there and was able to get out and walk around, it would be a pleasant place to go for a walk. They had a theater area. They had a fairly spacious, well-kept, and clean dining area. The dining area opened up to a patio. Just beyond the patio-type area was kind of an outdoor area, so they had facilities for barbecues and outdoor parties in a way. Everything seemed comfortable and clean. It looked as if they had done some recent painting. I didn't see anything that looked like it was rundown or unkempt. "

"I am blessed to have lived at Vi of Highlands Ranch for almost 8 years. When I was a widow and living alone for 7 years after my husband died, I decided that I wanted to pick my own destiny. I visited all of the Sr. Living Communities in my area and it wasn't even close that Vi of Highlands Ranch would be my "last stop". It's not only a lovely environment with great staff, it is my home. Almost like living in a resort or on a cruise ship. I have a 1 bedroom unit with a den that is more than big enough for me. My balcony has a lovely view of the mountains and I have sun all day, so my unit is always bright and cheery. The past year has been difficult with Covid restrictions, but almost all of us have gotten our first vaccinations and the second ones are scheduled for 3 weeks from now. Vi arranged for that for us. We have a lot of amenities to take advantage of. A great fitness center, beautiful indoor pool with hot tub, beauty shop on site, lots of fitness classes both on our private channel and in the Centennial Room, for the Catholics we have a Monsignor that is a resident who does 3 weekly morning masses and a mass on Sunday mornings. So much more. As I said anyone that lives here is truly blessed."
