"We visited the independent living at Brookdale Parkplace, and we also talked a bit about assisted living and memory care. The tour was quite informative, the information that we received was very good. They had a website you can go to that gives you information. The staff was quite experienced, I got to talk to the head chef and head of housekeeping, and she's been for about 15 years. The chef has been there for a little while and he talked about how he got to being a chef and what his mission was, being there. The person that showed us around was Jayla, they showed us the 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, and all the amenities in the facility. We also went back at a later date and had dinner there. The food was good, they have staff that comes out and brings the food to you. They have different types of menus, they have just a regular set menu, and then they have one that's kind of interchanging that the residents of the facility decide on. So everybody gets to have an input and then they decide on having a separate menu that you can eat off of as well. So that was pretty good. We had dinner there and we ate off of the residents' recommended items requested, and it was quite good. The facility was well-maintained. If you have the money, I would recommend this facility."
