"My visit at Balfour was very positive. The location appealed to us because it was in the heart of Denver, so that was the reason we chose this community. It has a friendly atmosphere and there are outside activities that we could go to. We like the park because we have a dog and there's a coffee shop around the corner."

"Brookdale Parkplace was good. It had more of a hotel feeling. It was a very tall building, but it was nice. It seemed a bit old, though. The person who helped us did a very good job. They explained everything to us quite well. They answered all our questions. We saw a variety of different units. The dining area seemed good. It seemed like there were mostly women, and it didn't seem like there were very many men. However, they had a swimming pool there. They had a library, an art room, and a movie room. They had all those things."

"We went to Brookdale Meridian Arvada. The people that we met were very nice, but it was a little more than we wanted to pay. It seems like they had several outings and activities for the residents. We liked their marketing staff; they're the main ones that we met. The building itself was very nice."

"Meridian is affordable, clean, and the food is good. The staff is wonderful and the people there are kind. They have activities, and my parents are going to church every Sunday. They’re going to concerts, meeting friends, and they never eat alone. There is somebody assigned to clean their house once a week, and they get their towels washed, and they’re very happy. The staff is very sweet. They love the kitchen and love going down to eat. We couldn’t ask for more, and my parents are living in a fancy hotel, literally. I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth, and the prices are right. They have nine different rooms and we found one that was perfect for us. I just couldn’t be happier. I hope we can stay there for the rest of their life. "

"I live at Arbor View Senior Living. The grounds are beautiful, except they could use a little more care in each apartment. They leave it like that because some people like to garden, and I'm not a gardener, so mine is kind of full of weeds around my front part. The staff is wonderful though. They're all very nice. They offer crafts, games, cards, classes, reading, and puzzles. They offer everything you could think of. They have a lot of good activities. The dining area is a little tight at times, and the food is up and down. Sometimes it's below average or sometimes it's what I would expect. It could use improvement. The community is kind of expensive, but compared to some of these other places, it'd be mediocre."

"Brookdale University Park was very nice, accommodating, and high-class. Their staff was very friendly, their food was amazing, and I really like their apartments. They talked about their social hours where they go out to various shopping centers. The place was very clean."

"This place is very good, I live here for 12 months and has great affection and haste with 2 employees who are exceptional Patrícia P. from the administration and Juan D., they are friendly and attentive people, they never fail to serve me quickly and always with a positive result ! I recommend this place for anyone to live, although the value is quite salty!"

"My dad is doing very well at MorningStar of Arvada Independent Living. It's a great place. It's an amazing community. The level of care and the things they did for my mom in memory care within 24 hours was amazing. They supported my dad throughout the process and made sure that when my mom did pass away, they right away helped him find an independent living suite there so we could just move things from memory care without having to find another whole place. The place is beautiful with lots of things planned for residents to do. Everyone there is very kind and nurturing. When you walk in the place, it feels good and right. I cannot say enough good things about it. The food was delicious, great, and healthy. They have a chef who helps people with whatever specific needs they may have and he will cook specific things. They have lots of choices. The place is like a 5-star hotel so it really is nice. They have Happy Hour, meet and greet, painting classes, movie nights, game nights, take them out on a bus to different places within the community, concerts, and they have choirs coming in. It is expensive, but looking at other places, this place is well worth it because it's brand new."

"I have chosen them for my husband. I like that it's more of a home-type setup. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. They made me feel at ease. Activities were going on and it was a more free-moving situation. We saw one-bedroom apartments and they were good. They provided privacy to the individuals, which gives them a level of dignity. We went to the dining room and then there was a TV room and we got to see the outside area. There's a deck with a grill and table and chairs and then there's a garden area and a very large backyard. I was quite impressed with that. I liked it. The facility was quite clean. We saw the memory care and I liked that it was very secure. You couldn't go in and out, and the doors were locked down. Everything worked out as far as my needs, my husband's needs, and location."

"My father in law moved at Quincy Place a week after we toured it. Everything was great, and everybody has been wonderful and helpful. We have absolutely nothing but good comments about them. They have some activities during the week; they play cards, and they have some games. I think once a month a musician comes in and they have a concert. They have also gone on a bus trips. Everything has been great. We have eaten there a few times, the food has been very good, and the service has been excellent. "

"As soon as we walked in, we loved it. The staff helped my friend immediately. They talked to her and made her feel comfortable. Everytime we are there, the staff has always been delightful. Mary Ann was wonderful. As soon as we walked in, we had already made our decision. My friend's room is very accommodating, and the staff is very good. "

"I toured Harvard Square Retirement and Senior Living, and the lady who goes from facility to facility had only been there for like four days, but from what I saw, she was very friendly. I like their energy. The people I've met were nice. It's an older facility, which fits my father's style because he's an old-fashioned guy, and he doesn't like fancy. He is a country guy, and so even though it is in the city, it looks like something I think he will feel more at home in. Their prices were lower and good. She said the building is over 40 years old, but they're doing upgrades. I like how they keep the memory care people out of their rooms and keep them busy, so that my father won't just be chilling out in his room all the time. The rooms were big, even the studios. They're nice, too. I like the way they do their pricing. Their pricing is not like one big broad price on top of the room. They're only going to charge him for what he needs. It's not group pricing that covers three or four things. It's like a la carte, which comes out cheaper. The reason they're able to have lower prices is because it's an older facility. As far as the staff were concerned, they were pretty friendly. I could just tell they were all happy, too, and maybe because it's such a diverse staff. Usually, people from other countries seem to be more willing, and their hospitality is better because that's what they do."
