"I went to Arbor View Senior Living. Their rooms were really small, but they weren't bad. They were the cheapest. They had single-unit type where they had bedroom-living room altogether, but they're really small. They had good amenities. They're very helpful and very pleasant people. They had plenty of options or things to do and stuff. Some rooms were set aside for those who can move about and do recreational things, and then they also had another room for those who were in a wheelchair or something where you have things that they could do, and I thought that was kind of nice to have everything set up that way. They had nice rooms for meals and all that. They had part of the rec room area upstairs if your family could come to meet you and you could do things together. They had shuttle buses to take you places if you needed to go somewhere. We managed to run into a couple of seniors that lived there, and they said they got great cooks, great food, and everything else, and I thought that's good to know. Like most of them, they're all booked up at the moment, but it's a great place. They care about their people and make sure that everything's taken care of. They're very helpful and I thought that was great there. Everybody there was responsible and helpful to all the people and everything else. And the place was very well maintained."

"We liked Sunrise, but it was a lot further away from the whole family than other places. What I really like about it was that the memory care ward was much larger than anywhere else I've seen. Their own staff was very well educated in caring for memory care patients and residents. The facility was very new. The impression we got there was that it was a very clean and nice facility that's well taken care of. The staff was very nice. There’s a lot of interaction between them and the residents. "

"Meridian Arvada is pretty much the same as the others. It has one-bedroom apartments for seniors with one bathroom, living room, and a kitchen. They're very nice. "

"My mother-in-law moved into Inglenook at Brighton. She stayed there for ten days before she passed away. Excellent service. They were very friendly. They were excellent to the tenants. They treated her very well, very compassionate. The activities director, her name is Max, was fabulous. The food was good. I can't say anything bad about them. They did a wonderful job. Excellent value for money."

"My mom has been a professional volunteer her whole life. She has found several ways to use her time and talents. It's friendly, with lots of people. They have activities for them to do. They have people for hem to get to know. It's very positive. There are so many wonderful staff and people. They have a lot of interaction with the people at the nurses' station and the aides when they come and take their blood pressure. They have done a really good job. The assistant chef is very kind to us. She always comes and checks on things. The people at the front desk are wonderful. There isn't one person I could say isn't a good, quality person. "

"My dear Mother in law is a new resident there and She LOVES IT ...she was so lonely in her independant living apt. Cried all the time ...she is 89 , has alittle dementia but love all the activities, the food is great .. and it is centrally located for her friends to visit . God helped us find her a great palce small // like 36 beds/ but home away from home ... Praise be to God . "

"I have lived here at Brookdale Parkplace Independent Living for 5 years. It's a terrific place to live. The rooms are spacious and the views are excellent. This facility is 18 stories high, so we have great views of Denver. The activities offered are varied and interesting. All the helpers and staff are great; they're patient and kind. The employees go out of their way to help residents and to give information. I feel so fortunate to live here at Parkplace & I look forward to many more happy years here. "

"Brookdale Meridian was absolutely excellent. They had somebody at the front desk all the time, and it's a small community. They had a wide-screen TV, a rec room with machines you can go in and use, events occasionally, and a hairdresser who can fit you in no matter what time you want. The food was excellent."

"We have a friend who lives in MorningStar Senior Living of Arvada. We visited her, and she took us around. It was really lovely. I would say that would be my favorite. They have an indoor pool, which is a nice feature. They really have a lot of spaces where you can do different kinds of activities and or have small parties of your own. Outside of your apartment, there are a lot of spaces where people can gather. Our friend was very happy there. They have a lovely terrace looking over the mountains. They have integrated assisted and independent living. Basically, assisted living apartments are closer to the elevator, so people don't have to go so far. The independent are farther away from the elevators, so people would have to walk farther. They have to be more mobile. That way of organizing is nice because it isn't that stark, like it's a different building, they have integrated activities for assisted and independent living, but I think they have separate dining halls for the two. Our friend really praised the food. They have a Jacuzzi as well. It was really nice because in the winter time if you go swimming, you don't have to go outside with wet hair. It's a really nice feature there, and it is probably why they're quite expensive. They don't really have a courtyard on the ground floor, but they have this nice space upstairs where they have planted plants outside on the roof. There is a space like that outside. Ground floor was mostly parking, and they have some garages. They had a full kitchen, and they had in-apartment laundry."

"Lakewood Reserve was a very nice facility. It was newly remodeled. I felt like it was too far from where I wanted my mom to be. I thought that the person who gave me the tour was great. She was knowledgeable. I liked that every day they would have, like a sample plate for every meal that they would make so that the residents could look at it and go, oh, yeah, I want the egg and the sausage, or I want the egg in the sausage in the toast. And they made like three different plates up. So you had three different variations of what that could look like. I liked the person who was taking the tour, although she was new, she knew people's names. She was like hey, Marcia. We were walking through and she was like oh, hey, Peggy, do you mind if we peek our head into your room? And we were able to look into what a furnished apartment looked like. And the person was affable to allow us to look into her place. They seemed to have a lot of activities. They had, like, this kind of, heightened service to serving people who were in the military and had a military wall. And the person who was in the front who welcomed us, she seemed to know everybody who was going in and out, and it seemed very welcoming and very comfortable. It had recently been renovated so a lot of the spaces were newly painted and newly decorated. And she's been great with follow-up and checking in to see how we were doing. They also looked to see if their facility could accept my mom's medication. And they also were willing to come and do an evaluation on my mom to see whether or not the facility would make sense for her."

"We live in Brookdale University Park. They sent us a brochure and it was very clear that they were protecting people against COVID-19. I know the neighborhood there from when I was younger, and I like it. The staff members are very cheerful and very helpful. Our apartment is very comfortable, and it's large enough for two of us. They have bingo, they have sitting exercises for the assisted living people, they have movies, they have the walking club, and they have crossword puzzles. They have quite a few things that they've opened up. This was the only one we looked at and we were very taken with it, so we moved in here."
