They keep it as clean as one can under the circumstances. They have musical concerts, games, kickball, pick the balloon ball, and stuff like that. It's worth it. "After living in two other facilities, we had a loved one live at this Jaxpointe Arvada location and we were more than thrilled with the decision. We had such a sense of peace knowing that she was well taken care of. Something that we never felt at other facilities was the caring and love that she received at Jaxpointe. We enjoyed getting to know the caregivers and they knew a lot about our mom and they were able to help educate us about what was happening as she advanced more. At the end of her life, we as a family were also greeted with hugs and love. The house is very clean and the food is amazing. While it is a difficult process to see your loved one who has Alzheimer's progress, this is the best place for them to live and be loved."

"I was very impressed with Legend of Broomfield. I thought it was a beautiful facility and so many really good activities for seniors. When I get old, I want to live there. My mom stayed there after being in the hospital, but she only stayed for a day because she passed. It's assisted living and the facility is gorgeous with an amazing staff. The dining room was beautiful. They have a library and a beauty salon. They have bingo and crafts. They had all kinds of activities every day or different choices of things that residents could do. I think my mom would have loved it there."

"A long-time friend of mine has moved to Northglenn Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care. He is in their assisted living. The place is nice and clean. It's an older place, but they have their stuff together. I've watched the staff interact with the guests, including the kitchen staff and some of the younger ones, and everybody is very caring. From what I've seen, they know the residents very well and I like that. They have a lot to offer. For activities, they have puzzles throughout the place, and some rooms for games and other activities. When I went in the other day, there were about seven of the residents in one of the rooms playing Monopoly. It seems like it's something that they do regularly. They have a barber shop and even a convenience store run by the residents. They have quite a bit of stuff that they can do, too. They have a happy hour once a week where the guests, with doctors' approval, can have at least two alcoholic beverages. They have live entertainment in that, too. The dining area is large. It's where we started when we took my friend over to kind of acclimate him. We had him go and have lunch over there, and the food was very good. I was very surprised. It was very tasty and he enjoyed it. One of the residents also told us that the food is great there."

"We toured Bonaventure of Thornton. I rate it highly, but unfortunately, it wasn't going to work for my friend's mom. They're friendly, and the rooms and community areas were nice. They've got a movie theater room, a salon, a library, and a bar. The price was a good deal as well, and the staff was very nice."

"I liked it and the staff who gave me was very friendly. It was a beautiful place. Everything was very clean. The residents seemed very happy. They had a great big room where they have all their activity. The kitchen was right there in the middle of the great big common area. Everything was really clean and pretty. It looked like a beautiful home. The room that they showed me for my mom was just a big square room with an attached bathroom. You have to bring your own bed, your own TV, and your own dresser and all that kind of thing, so there was nothing in it. The dining area was very nice. They had large wooden tables that everybody could sit together at. They're long rectangular tables. The dining area was out in the open where their living area was with the huge couches and a huge TV. Everybody was always together, whether they were watching TV or eating. They had all kinds of things. I don't remember the specific activities, but I know the staff explained them to me. I told her I didn't think my mom would probably take part in any of those. The place was really pretty and nice."

"Rocky Mountain is a new, nice, and lovely facility. They were very helpful and showed us around. I liked the location, and my church was close to them. The apartments were very small but had big bathrooms without showers, so people won't fall."

"I toured Sunrise at FlatIrons. It was beautiful, and well cared for, and people were very caring. Everybody seemed happy. It was wonderful. The apartment was very adequate for independent living. A small environment would be great. The staff was brilliant. She knew what she was talking about. She's very kind and very sweet. I noticed the clay crafts and the painting especially, it was just fantastic. The layout may be a little bit off because it is located on a hill. So, there are a lot of stairs and things like that, and I'm initially trying to get in there."

"We visited MorningStar of Wheat Ridge and toured their assisted living for my wife. The woman who showed us around was excellent. She was very hospitable, knowledgeable, and listened to what we needed. She did an excellent job. They did a nursing review and it was done professionally. The people in the building were also friendly. They have everything like around-the-clock care, and arranging medical visits and in-house therapy. I think it's a top-rate facility."

"We found a place for my father, and we're going with Park Regency Assisted Living and Memory Care, Thornton. It's only for respite care for 14 days. We went with them because they have the availability, and the price is good. And most importantly, they have very kind and caring staff. The rooms have all the grab bars and safety for elderly ones for both assisted living and memory care. It's very clean and kept up very well. Everything looked new to me, and they have enough rooms. They're spacious. The rooms have microwaves and small refrigerators. They're furnished with comfortable chairs, beds, TVs, nightstands, and lamps. It's very aesthetically pleasing and clean. When I walked in one time, a lady was coming out and she asked me, 'Have you ever been here before?' And I said, 'Yes, actually I have.' And she said, 'Okay. I work in the kitchen, nice to meet you.' She said it was nice to meet my dad. So it doesn't matter who you speak with, everybody is just very welcoming, kind, and caring. "

"I have chosen Balfour Senior Living because it's very beautiful. Their staff is very nice. The food is excellent. It's the most beautiful place you'll ever see. There's a saltwater swimming pool. The staff members have been wonderful. They're outstanding."

"I toured Juniper Village at Louisville. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too far away, and I didn't want to go farther than 50 miles or so from where I lived. However, everything else was great. They had an ice cream shop and four neighborhood communities. The staff was exceptional, enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable, and it had a real team feel to it as if they were all working for the residents. The building was very clean and nicely decorated. I think they had remodeled in the last few years, so it was a very nice facility. It's very cozy and has great artwork. Each of the neighborhoods has an artwork theme like sculptures or landscapes."
