"Somebody from 24-7 BrightStar Healthcare came to our house 2-3 hours every few days a week for my husband. However, they did not have adequate number of caregivers in our area. The caregiver came but not on the days that we wanted. The caregiver was nice, we liked her. It would be better if they had more caregivers in our area. "

"We have hospice care coming from TRU Community Care. I think they are wonderful, really responsive, easy to access, and attentive to my mom's needs. They try to find ways not only to support my mom but to support everybody in the family because she's part of the hospice care. They are, in general, a high-quality service. They are always following up with whatever they offer, but especially the way that they treat my mom, and it gives me peace of mind because it's easy to trust them. I've been using them for over three weeks now. We have a social worker that comes and also a nurse that comes once a week, for now, to check her vitals and make sure that she's comfortable and things like that."

"I have had alot of experience with numerous home health agencies and never thought, there was one out there, who took a client and made them their number one priority. I have been truly blessed to have had the experience of working with Accelerated Home Health Care and I wouldn't want any other agency in my home, because no one could compare with the understanding, patience, and care that they offer, to the families and clients they take on. It was truly a pleasure. B.B. "

"My experience with Alternative Home Health Care Connection has been excellent. The caregivers are excellent, and they provide complete care. They range my legs, they do my ball program, they clean me up, and they help me in and out of bed. I've using them for over two years now. I don't pay for them -- the State of Colorado does. They come a couple of times a day. "

"The staff at this company are unhappy and irritable. Their company underwent an merger to avoid going under. The office staff sound demanding and hostile over the phone, especially the branch manager. I never felt I had my own nurse, a different face every visit. "

"My husband has been using Family Home Health for several months now. We got involved with them through the VA. Our caregiver is Crystal. She's a nice young lady, but she can't do too much. She can't go out and walk very much because she's not able to herself. There's a nurse who comes out once a month and checks his vitals who's also a nice lady. I don't have anything to bad to say about them. Crystal is heavy and she has some back and leg problems, but I would like to have her take him out or walk with him while I'm gone. She walked up the street with him one time, but it's cold out now and I wouldn't expect him to go outside when it's cold. She will play games with him and he'll play with her and that's about it. I feel comfortable when they come by."

"I was home alone, casted with a broken ankle, and medically unstable. Centura came ONE time for the intake and never returned. They had orders for a nurse, HHA, PT, OT, CNA, and LCSW but no one came for 8 days. I phoned 2x a day, but was given a rude answer by the supposed case managers. Do not request this place. There is no follow through and they leave patients with no care. "

"Terrible! They have a limited staff, work CNA's 7 days a week 30 days a month if one gets sick they do not cover shift, just leave client alone hungry, dirty. PCP's cannot complete tasks leave for CNA's. Try calling "RELIABLE" after hours and see what happens..nothing no answer service no on call anything, so CNA is a no show your on your own until someone decides to show up the next morning. "

"This agency was referred to me, yetI have been very unhappy with everything about them. They've been around since the early 1980s, I hear they once were worthwhile but drastically faltered recently. My social worker recommended them, and when a younger person took over her caseload, I talked to him about this, he told my he has heard the same complaint over and over again about this company. CNAs regularly fail to show, then the office won't answer the phone when I try to get a replacement. One CNA, her hygiene is lacking, I remind her weekly, "Wash your hands after handling waste." Or, "Please! Put on latex gloves." Plus, she regularly doesn't shower or brush her teeth before going to work, and I have heard the same about her from friends of mine who have used this agency. I have an access code to enter my building, and every time a new CNA is sent for the first time they can't get in the building because the scheduler didn't give them the code. Another CNA refuses to help me put my laundry away or help me fix breakfast, "Because it's not in the careplan." When I pleaded for help emptying the dryer and getting breakfast, she said she had instructions from the agency owner never to help me with those things. I now have a new agency and would recommend anybody but Health in Home. "

"My father in law, age 89 was cared for by The Denver Hospice for nearly 11 months. Had he not been with the Denver Hospice, he would have been hospitalized 4 times. A nurse came to our house every time he needed help to keep him home and comfortable. My Mother-in-law was helped tremendously in caregiving, in planning for the eventualities of end of life, and with partners in care that she grew to love. I was shocked that his pulmonologist didn't order hospice, and I had to ask his PCP. I have no idea why some doctors shy away from helping people work through their final chapters of life. My gratitude is deep for the care we all received from The Denver Hospice! And, I love that they are a Not for Profit organization! "
