I've been here at The Remington Club a little over a month and it's like everything else. They're doing an admirable job of trying to keep us entertained and safe. The dining room is open with the Covid restrictions. The food is delicious, I really love the food and I'm being careful I don't gain weight. The staff is wonderful, they go out of their way to help us. My room is really comfortable for the 2 of us. We picked a 2-bedroom apartment because I no longer sleep with my husband, he makes too much noise. We picked the ground floor apartment that has a good size patio and the rose garden. I loved that because I always used to grow roses and it's very nice to sit there among the bushes. I feel like they kinda went out of their way to find us the right parking spot, and the right department. My husband is somewhat handicapped and so I didn't wanna have to walk from one extreme to the other of the building. Our apartment is really convenient to just about everything we would wanna do. The people are nice, the activity director he's always gonna do something that you just have to laugh at and he's very entertaining. The concierge folk just go out of their way to do as much as they can. I had friends that lived here for many years, so I have seen that open, beautiful activity and the dining room looking wonderful and so I know what it can be. I'm gonna just patiently sit around and it'll go back. They play Jeopardy thru zoom, they take turns in answering, and it's still fun and you still get to see other faces. Food is very personal, when you like something it's really good. I'm not a picky eater and it's not really a problem for me and my husband.

My mom was at The Remington Club. I think she needed way too much care for what they offered. They couldn't take care of you if you needed oxygen, and she needed oxygen. So, that was the problem. The room itself was very nice. They had a nice courtyard. She liked to go to the hairdresser there. They had a lobby area where people sat out sometimes. They offered a lot of things to do, but she didn't want to do them. Their staff could improve. I got really unhappy that my mom didn't have toilet paper available, and things like that. I'd have to check up on things all the time.

The person that was showing me around The Remington Club was very nice, and the people seemed nice. But it looked tired and it needed remodeling, which they said they were going to do. It's also the most affordable of all the ones I saw. The staff that I met was very nice, she's very helpful and very informative, and I like her very much. They had pretty good apartments. They had everything everybody have including a heated outdoor pool, exercise classes, a small gym or workout room, and they had a hairdresser. They had a couple of dining areas, they had very nice grounds that were pretty well-manicured and well-landscaped. They have a good activities list. They had weekly housekeeping, shuttle service to shopping and doctors' appointments, and they have a movie theater. If that's all you can afford, it's a really good option if you don't have any money.

I chose The Remington Club for my mom because it's closest to my house and the price is right. They kind of offer everything. I liked it because they had some rooms that had doors to the outside, not only to the hallway inside, but doors to the outside to a patio. They really listen to my mom's needs. They found something where she could let her dog out the door or on a leash or something. They really bent over backwards to meet her needs. She had put down a refundable deposit, and then decided about a week later that she wasn't going to go, and so we got the deposit back. But when she comes down, I think that will be her first choice. They had full kitchens, refrigerators, stoves, nice cabinetry, and a dishwasher in the apartments. You would have to bring your own microwave and your own coffeemaker, but that's about it. They have nice, big bathrooms, some with step-in showers and some not, but there are handrails everywhere. The person who toured me was great. They have lots of outdoor spaces, and that's what I like. One of the areas that my mom probably would have gone into is the outside door that had a patio and then she could walk over to a gazebo surrounded by a rose garden. It's beautiful. They have many activities. Everything from a library, book club, cribbage club, bridge, and hiking if you're able to. They have so many. They even have a putting green and a swimming pool. You can have pets there, too.

The Remington Club had skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. It was very warm and inviting. It had staircases, lounge areas, libraries, and a dining area. It's a very nice facility. The apartments were a little on the small side, but they had a large variety, and they're well maintained and adequate. They had transportation, a pool, a little indoor movie theater, and some off-site social events including golf. The dining hall was fairly wide open. You just let the person know what you want and they bring the food to you. The menu looked pretty good. The staff member during the visit was very friendly, but didn't appear to have as much background knowledge with regard to insurance.

The Remington Club was nice. I was looking at independent care. The rooms were nice, and the layout was nice. It was just a little bit too spread out, and too large for my dad. The person I met was very nice. I saw the pool and the dining area. The facility was clean and well-maintained. The parking was rough. It was a little bit of a walk, there was limited parking, and the parking area for the residents and visitors was behind the building.

The Remington Club is a big place. They have a full range of facilities as far as health goes. They're also right next to a shopping center so people who like to shop can go out of their doors and go there. They have just about anything you need. The staff member seemed good. We were impressed with them. The rooms were great. They're larger than most of the places. We liked that. That was a really selling point for us. However, we felt that the place itself was too big. That was a negative. It didn't feel very homey because it was so sprawled out. We went to the dining room one time and there was hardly anybody there. They serve around-the-clock so you don't have to be there at a certain time, but it is pretty sparse. It doesn't seem like people are too family-oriented; it doesn't seem comfortable.

I didn't like The Remington Club even when we were there for two years. First of all, the fact that they put five stars in their own logo fools the public because they're not 5-stars. They're not even 4-stars. They have both independent and assisted living. They use a point-system so they count your food and drinks for you, and from my point of view it's run like a prison. The food is truly mediocre, and there's not a lot of social intercourse since it's a large community. There are two buildings and people move around; it didn't feel very friendly because the people dont communicate with each other. They also have other activities and focus activities. The price is too high for what they provide, and it's a chain so the management is so far-removed from the interest of the residents that it's not even funny. Nobody pays any attention to anything. It has four floors with about 40 apartments to a floor, but there's only onr elevator. You could die of hunger waiting for the elevator during dinner time.

I visited the Remington Club. The rooms were very lovely, attractive, and adequate for my needs. They have exercise programs, a jacuzzi, and a pool. The food appeared to be good. There's a big shopping center nearby, which was important to me. They have a lot of community rooms, several little restaurants, and you don't have to go to the main dining room to eat breakfast. You can get coffee, all kinds of cereal, and fruits. They have music every week, and someone comes in and play the piano, so for me that was fun. Everybody was just upbeat and helpful.

My parents are at The Remington Club, and they like it there. This facility did not require so much money upfront, and they took mom in because they have dementia care. The facility is big, and they have a lot to offer.

We went to The Remington Club. We really didn’t like that one because we were looking for a place with one building where everybody was together and have your meals there. The Remington Club was divided, which we didn’t like that. It was a great facility and maybe someone else would love it, but for our needs, it would be two stars.

The Remington Club rooms were nice and clean. The staff was accommodating even though they were understaffed. The food catered to my mom which is a salt-free and sugar-free diet. If there was something that they didn’t like she would send it back and they would make her something that she did like, which was nice. They were helpful and the dietitian would come in quite often and discussed with my mom what she was wanting to eat because she was on a specialized diet. They were just very friendly.

I have lived in an apartment at Remington in the Independent Living area and have had two stays in the health center recovering from surgical procedures. The service and care delivered in both areas exceeds expectation. The staff is very friendly, resourceful, well trained, and supportive of all of the residents. The management of the community is excellent. I feel fortunate to call Remington home!

I liked the people at The Remington Club. Their food was excellent. Everything was great. They offered all kinds of daily activities. It was close to a shopping center, and some senior citizen homes. It was in a very nice neighborhood.

We moved to The Remington Club mid-April. The staff is competent. We have a two-bedroom and two-bath with a patio on the ground floor. The food is good, but the problem is we're used to three served meals, and they only have one served meal and a serve yourself breakfast. The dining room is very nice with white tablecloths. It's like a nice restaurant. We enjoy swimming and the outdoor activities. Today, we went on a harbor cruise. They have movies and a lot of music, and performers come in and sing. They have other activities, but those are the main ones that interest us. We love the apartment we live in.

The Remington Club was an older facility, and they didn’t really have any rooms available that would accommodate my sister. She was definitely looking for 1-bedroom, and they only had studios. We toured a 1-bedroom that was vacant, but it was so small and kind of inconveniently configured. It’s just got a lot of corners; you cannot put furniture in. The people were very nice, the gal who took us around was very pleasant, and everyone was very nice. The facility itself is very nice; I would give it a 4 for the ambiance, but I would rate it 3 as it didn’t meet our needs for the 1-bedroom.

Thank you for visiting The Remington Club and taking the time to provide feedback on your experience.
From your commentary it appears you toured our recently renovated Assisted Living building. We do feature 4 different floor plans in Assisted Living , including a one bedroom as well as a variety of community living areas. Availability on apartments can be limited at times due to high occupancy but we have a waitlist available for the various floor plans. Please note, it is typical for Assisted Living communities to have smaller apartments as residents are encouraged to utilize the entire community as their home. Due to a variety of planned activities and meals enjoyed in the dining rooms, residents spend the majority of their time in the community versus in their individual apartment.
In addition, our Independent Living features a large variety of floor plans ranging from one to three bedroom apartments which include a full kitchen, washer and dryer and spacious closets.
Nonetheless, we certainly appreciate your consideration of the Remington Club and would happy assist you further in your search for the best accommodations for your sister.

I kept my aunt at The Remington Club and moved her into the assisted living. I like the location. It’s right across the street from the gal that has helped her for many years who does her shopping. Everything that they have there was familiar with her. I was able to get her into a 1-bedroom, and she is just about 4 doors down from the dining room so she has help walking there. It all works out really well for her. The staff has all been very helpful. They have gone out of their way to help me get everything organized. They seem to have everything right there for her, and they help her. They come in and really look out for her. The people are very good and very caring. She is very happy with them. She’s in the assisted living, but for Thanksgiving, we were able to go to the independent-living side for lunch, and it was really nice. In the assisted living, they had a full meal, but over there, they had the buffet, and she could go visit people that she knew from when she lived on the independent-living side. It’s convenient to everything, and the food is excellent. I’ve been very happy.

The Remington Club is a rental; you don’t buy. I would say the residents there are much older; you see many more walkers. They have a skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. There is something about it that’s depressing to me. I think the food is good; we have lunch there several times, and I went for a meeting there as it is very close to where I live right now and the lunch was excellent. I just don’t care for the atmosphere. I don’t like the way the place was decorated; it was very outdated. I have visited a friend and I have heard some unhappy things about their skilled living specially the night staff, people who live in there, and several people who had been there.

I thought The Remington Club was beautiful. I really liked it. We met with their salesperson. We didn't interact with the staff, but people seemed happy. The dining room looked very nice and appealing. We were invited to come back and have a meal, which we didn't do. I thought people should definitely check it out. However, as everyone said and it was true, The Remington was expensive.

We visited Remington Club and like the grounds. The one-bedroom apartment was great. It was nice that it has washer/dryer in the apartment for independent living. I did not like the assisted living units. They reminded me of a hospital room. Their dining room is fine. The whole facility is very clean. The staff that accommodated us was great. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. This facility is also nice because of the proximity to a major shopping area. It's got nice, large grounds for walking.

The Remington Club was nice. I was amazed on how large their apartments were. We didn't eat there, but the dining facility looked very nice. I liked that it was close to a little shopping area. The staff was also very nice.

We have already chosen The Remington Club although we were not moving in there yet. We were able to visit the place two or three times and the facility is spotless clean. The staff who accommodated us was able to show as many rooms as we wanted. We were amazed that they were so generous with regards to the sizes of the rooms. We had lunch there and the food was wonderful, very delicious. The only thing for them not getting a 5 is because they don't have a covered parking for our car.

The Remington Club was an excellent facility. It was classy, nice and like a five-star hotel. However, it was very expensive.
